EvelinMoondust: Staring at the titan eating humans in absolute awe (I actually stare at printers like that too, wondering how the paper feels) then smiling sadistically with a lot of glee, wondering if this is how they chose to die in the first place. But look at the blood spilling around, he'll be conjoined with the earth.

EvelinMoondust: 1. It's just mutual respect. Knowing someone like Levi, he's probably just not interested and they're just partners.

EvelinMoondust: 2. They wouldn't work out just because of their shared hatred of titans or whatever. A couple relationship is built on sexual attraction and without that, they'd be just good friends and partners at most.

AllianaAvelinJackson: ......deep.

EvelinMoondust: Sexual attraction won't happen because Levi, knowing him, won't necessarily like someone like Eren, and Eren is way too occupied with his titan slaying.

AllianaAvelinJackson: Ehem.

AllianaAvelinJackson: I just watched the 1st episode, but I can kinda tell.

Serena_Nymph: Yeah, Eren literally has no love except for titan slaying.

AllianaAvelinJackson: ......that's kinda depressing though

Serena_Nymph: Depressing is that one-word description for AOT.

Serena_Nymph: And yes, he is.

EvelinMoondust: 3. They're personalities clash. Levi will get tired of Eren's constant titan slaying and some other whims I'm not gonna say, and Eren will just think of him as real impassionate.

EvelinMoondust: Right, I think I'm just about done now.

Serena_Nymph: Okay, so my turn, I guess.

Serena_Nymph: Well, first off, they have shown no interest in each other at all, except for the fact that Eren admires Levi only because he is humanity's strongest soldier and all that.

EvelinMoondust: Yeah, basically idolisation.

Serena_Nymph: Also, I'm the type to usually ship things based off of canon interaction. Call me picky, but I'm like that, so I won't ship things because they look good together, or because their personalities would work well.

Serena_Nymph: And frankly, they don't have any canon interaction at all that could be considered romantic.

AllianaAvelinJackson: ...that was also deep.

Serena_Nymph: It was?

AllianaAvelinJackson: .... maybe it is because I'm bored.

EvelinMoondust: Yes, ship all you want, daydream, but it's not real. The illustrator if the manga does not intend it to happen, so it's pretty much just fanon, not canon.

Serena_Nymph: Also, the age gap.

Serena_Nymph: they're most probably more than 15 years apart, considering Levi is in his 30's, so it's strange.

EvelinMoondust: Oh, I almost forgot.

EvelinMoondust: WHY WOULD A 30-YEAR-OLD MAN DATE A FEISTY 15 TO 16-YEAR-OLD?

Serena_Nymph: So, yeah...

Serena_Nymph: It just doesn't make sense.

EvelinMoondust: 30-year-old Levi will probably think of Eren as immature, and Eren being 15, and the killing angry being he is, would think of Levi as emotionless, but strong, too strong, and would just idolise him.

Serena_Nymph: And I doubt it would work out, considering they only see each other as comrades in their fight against titans. Plus they're in the middle of war, which is why you don't see many couples in AOT. Those few couples that exist most probably already established a relationship during their 5 years of training (Ymir and Christa, Franz and Hannah).

Serena_Nymph: Maybe less so on the idolising but yeah.

EvelinMoondust: Yeah, even with sexual attraction, it probably wouldn't work out either.

Serena_Nymph: Anyways, that's pretty much all the reasons I don't ship it.

EvelinMoondust: It's just like Izuku and All Might. Who ships them together?

EvelinMoondust: Well, from BNHA.

Serena_Nymph: Not that good of a comparison, but well ...messed up people.

Serena_Nymph: Very messed up.

EvelinMoondust: Mhmm.

Serena_Nymph: Though I don't understand why it wouldn't work out with sexual attraction, considering isn't that what sexual attraction is for?

Serena_Nymph: But that's going off topic.

EvelinMoondust: The personality clash.

Serena_Nymph: Because the whole reason this wouldn't work out is because they haven't shown romantic interest in each other.

EvelinMoondust: If two of them are too stubborn too change some of their flaws, it probably won't work out in the long run.

EvelinMoondust: And they'll end up hurting each other.

Serena_Nymph: And going off of the canon material, they don't have any interactions that could be interpreted as romantic.

EvelinMoondust: And plus, they need to commit to each other.

Serena_Nymph: I guess that kinda makes sense.

EvelinMoondust: Sexual attraction is something that helps a romantic relationship, but without commitment, it won't last long.

Serena_Nymph: But their relationship is really just that of a commander and a soldier.

EvelinMoondust: Mhmm

Serena_Nymph: Which is exactly what they are.

EvelinMoondust: Really strong, really stubborn soldier.

Serena_Nymph: Both of them.

Serena_Nymph: And in all honesty, any interaction you interpret as romantic could be even more easily be interpreted as friendship.

Serena_Nymph: Although friendship for them is kind of a stretch.

Serena_Nymph: I have lost track of how many times they tried to fight each other.

EvelinMoondust: They didn't even give actual signs of flirting. And since Eren is the main character, they would give off some hint about what he's thinking of Levi in the inside, right?

Serena_Nymph: Yeah.

EvelinMoondust: And there's zero romantic attraction in that.

Serena_Nymph: In fact, the two people Eren care for the most are Armin and Mikasa.

Serena_Nymph: So, it would make more sense if Eren was shipped with them.

Serena_Nymph: Though they also seem more like best friends or siblings.

EvelinMoondust: Yeah.

Serena_Nymph: Like with Norman, Ray and Emma from TPN.

Serena_Nymph: So ... I guess that's that.

Serena_Nymph: Why we don't ship this.
