Chapter 4

"Cuz, she's right over there." Sans pointed near a cliff. I didn't really believe him so I walked over to where he was pointing. Then, I saw Toriel's face. I ran over to her, but, she stated waving her hands, telling me to stop. I looked behind her. Chara was holding a knife to her back.

"Chara! Let her go!" I boldly stepped forward.

Chara moved the knife to her other hand. "Now, why would I do something like that?" She played with the knife. "What if I just want to kill her?"

Out of pure fear, I yelled out, "Mom!" Chara pointed her weapon at me.

"So, you think that she's your mom? How precious." Her voice sounded like Flowey.

Wait, her voice sounded like Flowey's. That means...no! Flowey can only change to Omega Flowey and Asriel. I saw something green moving behind Chara. "Flowey! Stop hiding behind her and face me!"

Flowey came out from Chara and tried escaping. Chara went into battle mode, defeated him in three turns, and lost all except ten HP. Chara looked back at us and I just ran up to her and hit her, making her HP drop down to nine. I grabbed Toriel, Papyrus, and Sans and ran down the mountain.

"What's with all of the running?" Papyrus yelled at me. "Is in just that you're getting "spooked" all the time?"

"Or I don't want a complete psychopath following us!" I nodded my head towards Chara.

"Minda, you know that you were Chara once, right?" Toriel was trying to make me stop.

"How was I like Chara, Mom?" I was straining myself not to shout.

"You killed monsters that got in your way, except me."

"I did attack you once. But, as soon as I pressed fight, I immediately regretted it. Sorry about that Mom." I did a sorry face.

"Do you see any damage on me?" I went into battle mode and cheeked Tori's HP and found it to be more than half gone.

"Mom, what happened?! You have less than half your HP." I got really scared from what could of happened to her.

"It was from the last Human that fell in the Underground." Tori seemed totally fine that she's half dead.

"Mom, do you realize that someone that you saved from a maniac and you cared about, and they also called you mom, just tried to kill you?!" I covered my mouth because I realized that I just yelled at her.

"Min Pin, are you alright?" Sans put his hand on my shoulder.

I shrugged. "I literally have no idea."

"Maybe I can help you with that." Toriel grabbed my hand and ran down the mountain. When we got to the bottom of the mountain, Toriel wanted me to cover my eyes.

I didn't really like the idea. "Why do I have to mom?"

"So then you don't see the surprise!" I sighed and covered my eyes. I felt myself being picked up and put on something soft and hard. I guessed that it was Tori's head. After a while, the goat monster lifted me off of her shoulders and placed me on the ground.

I turned in hope to face her. "Can I uncover my eyes now? Also, am I facing you?"

"You're facing the surprise. And, yes, you can look now." I put my hands down and into my pockets. Ugh, I hated doing that. It was really uncomfortable. I looked at the surprise. It looked like a building that hadn't been used in a hundred years.

"I'm betting that we're going to live here." I faced the goat woman.

"Yes! And Undyne could train humans for battle and Papyrus can serve his famous spaghetti!" Mom seemed really excited for this.

"That's a really good idea! I'm going to get Papyrus and Sans." I hiked back up to the mountain, careful not to reach the peak. I walked all over the mountain, looking for the two skeletons. After about fifteen minutes, I decided to give up and go back to the building. "Hey, Mom! I couldn't find Sans or..." I saw Toriel talking to Papyrus and Sans reading a book of puns. "Hey guys!" I waved to them. Sans put his book down and walked up to me.

"What's up?" Instead of answering, I just hugged Sans and put my head on his shoulder. I heard Sans whisper something to Papyrus or Toriel, I'm guessing that they walked away.

"Thanks for waving them off. I just wanted to talk to you." I snuggled further in the fluff.

"It's fine. I really wanted to hug you too." The cold air of the winter air brushed up against my back, causing shivers. Sans took of his jacket and handed it to me. "You might need this more than I do."

I blushed a little and put the heavy jacket around my shoulders. "Thanks."

"Heh, any time kiddo." Sans shrugged and winked with his left eye.

I hugged myself to protect myself from the cold. "Sans, I'm seventeen, almost eighteen, so I'm not exactly a kid."

"Sorry. Force of habit. Almost how I treat Papy like a kid even though he's fifteen." Sans put his hands where his pockets would be.

I took one arm out of the jacket and put it around the skeleton. "I feel you too." I looked at the time on Sans' watch to see that it's been five minutes since we last saw Toriel or Papyrus. "Let's go back."

Hand in hand, Sans and I walked to where Toriel and Papyrus were sitting. "Hello Minda." Tori waved at me. I waved back with my free hand.

"Hello human! Me and Toriel have been waiting for you." Papyrus stood up and walked over to his brother.

Sans let go of my hand and stuck them were his pockets would be. "Sup bro?"

"So, should be try to go and fix up that building before sunset?" I asked.

Sans playfully poked me. "Yeah. Let's go." We all walked back to the building calmly. I took a second look at it.

"It's a fixer upper." I gave Sans back his jacket.

"It looks more like a loss cause." Sans plainly stated out. Everyone just looked at him. "What? Just stating the facts."

"I'm sure with enough hard work, it'll look amazing." We rolled up our sleeves and got to work.
