Chapter 7
"I'm afraid when something is truly Lost, one can NEVER get it back again."-Ciel Phantomhive
Aaron's POV
"Hey Aaron, look at this!" Yako yells as I stare at the news report about the missing relic of the Lightwoods and laugh. Aragorn looks at me funnily about why I laugh so hard until he realizes why I laugh he also laughs.
"What? Is there something on my face?" Aragorn and I shake our heads no but still chuckle.
"The Lightwoods did not realize that their relic is missing until today. Oh, gods, it is so damn funny!" Aragorn gives another shout of laughter as he tries to stop laughing. Afterward, he manages to stop laughing and sit next to the window beside me, waiting for the phone to ring. Minutes later, the phone ring and I pick it up.
"Hey, Aaron. Have you seen my missing relic?" I look at Aragorn as he shakes his head. I give a slight nod.
"Nope. Haven't seen it in here." Erell just sighs dejectedly and hangs up. I look at Aragorn as he sighs in relief and I raise my eyebrows.
"Why did you stop me from telling the truth?" Aragorn just shrugs his shoulders and I sigh. Just as I return to reading the newspaper, there is a banging sound as someone slams the door open and there stands Hikaru.
"Aaron, the General needs to see us immediately." I nod and immediately signal the others to follow me to meet the General.
----the meeting area-----
Aragorn's POV
I observe Aaron as the General greets all of us. I could see Aaron ignoring the General's gaze and that his posture is not like his normal Commander posture but it is in a slouching posture. I catch Aaron's gaze for a second before he turns away, not meeting me in the eye.
"Hey Aragorn, do you also think that Aaron is acting strange today? Normally he would look at the General in the eye." Yako asks me and I nod, agreeing with her. Something is not right and I think back on what the enemy had said.
"Oh, so the Prince of Darkness does not know of his heritage hmm? Strange is it? You know your General knows the answer to it and the secret that you want about your identity? He has it."
"You can't trust people, my Prince! They would only let you down!"
"-ragorn! Aragorn!" I hear Yako screaming my name and I stare at her.
"Yeah?" Yako stare at me and facepalm.
"Did you hear what the General is saying?" I shake my head, seeing all the other's expressions except Aaron and I ask the general to repeat the plan.
"It's like this......" He explains the plan to me and I nod.
"Okay. Meeting adjourns. See you in a few minutes." We all nod and rush back to our rooms to pack our things for this mission.
"Can you believe it? We are going to the fairy kingdom, Kingdom of Asterawin to protect the Queen of Fairies!" Yako gushes but I am half-listening to her half looking at Aaron as I am worried about him.
-----at the fairy kingdom-----
Aaron's POV
"Ah, welcome Team E! I am Lyria, the Queen of the Fairies. And you are?" I mention to the others to bow and we all bow.
"I am Aaron Eosphoros, the Commander of Team E and these are my teammates, Hikaru, Alviss, Amelia, Yako, and Aragorn," I say pointing to each of the members in a clockwise position.
"Ah, Aaron! I heard so much about you and your team! Come come, make yourselves at home." Lyria ushers us into the castle and I smile and kindly thank Lyria.
"Ah no need to thank me. Oh before I forgot. Aaron, meet me later after dinner." I nod and we all go to our rooms, after a brief tour, to freshen up and rest after our long journey to come here.
-----after dinner-----
I stare at Lyria wondering why she pulls me aside after dinner and she looks at me in the eye and speaks.
"Sorry, I just need somewhere private to talk with you, and here seems to be the best spot." I nod and look at her, frowning at why she looks so familiar.
"Lyria, you don't remember me from that time?" I ask her and she frowns as well, wondering why I look so familiar. Then her eyes light up as she remembers a certain memory and she looks up, eyes teary from crying.
"Aaron? Is that you?" Lyria asks me hesitantly and I nod.
"Aaron!!!" I sob as I hug her, still remember the time I met her when she was just a princess and I was just a normal guy who was tasked to kill her but at that time I could not bring myself to do it.
"Aaron, why didn't you say anything earlier?" Lyria demands and I purse my lips, wondering how to answer her.
"Actually, I didn't say anything because I was worried about how you will react." Lyria nod and look at me hopefully.
"Is Number one here? If he is I really want to thank him." I stare down t the floor and she realizes that he is gone and realizes who had killed him.
"Oh, Aaron! I am so sorry about your loss." I shake my head in a never mind way but she pulls me into her arms.
"Oh Aaron, I can sense your grief though. You know I will always stand by your side even if you do something wrong." I hug her back as we both cry, wishing that Allen is still alive but knowing that we cannot bring him back to life.
-----At night-----
"Hey." I look up and see Aragorn looking downwards towards my face, worry crossing his face as he sees the documents littering the work table.
"I had discussed with Lyria about the enemy and about how the enemy will sneak in. One of her servants had died due to poison and she is worried that the person will aim to kill her soon. So yeah, she tells me to find the killer as fast as I can but I still cannot figure out the identity of the killer." Aragorn looks at the pictures and frowns.
"I think we should ask Lyria tomorrow about the threat letter that she sent to us." I nod and turn to sleep on the bed when Aragorn stops me.
"Hey, Aaron. You're okay?" I look at him and smile.
"I'm fine." Aragorn looks unconvinced but drops the subject seeing me yawning while rubbing my eyes. He leaves my room leaving me with my own thoughts.
Am I really okay? What do I do now? Should I find about my identity? What will happen if I find out about my identity? Also, who am I?
