The One Who Accepts Us

'Grateful is what we feels for the third prince. We love him and he is our one and only King. He take care of us, rise us from the bottom and accept us.'

"Haka!" the call from her colleague gain the ravenet's attention. She come to her superior side and bow.

"Do you need something, Junjun-san?"

"Lord Kouha has come back." Haka bows, with just those words she already knew what she must do for their only king. Of course they've been serving him for many years, so they already know what they must do.

"Then I'll start preparing." Haka informs before giving another bow and left.

Haka has been serving Kouha much longer than Junjun, Reirei and Jinjin. She was a daughter of former king of Gai, and become a slave, when Kouha met her, he immediately bought her from her abusive master.

After getting under his wing Haka has much easier life, only serving Kouha and taking care of his mother; meeting various wonderful people such as her colleagues.

Kouha has heart for those considered failures, trash, those who get exile and to those considered by society as useless.

The pink haired prince take in the smell of herbal tea that Haka prepares for him.

"Your tea smell so good, it always soothes me."

Haka smiles at him and bow, "I'm glad it is to your liking, Lord Kouha."

Kouha sips his tea while relaxing his body. "How are things here Haka?"

"Everything is fine; although..."

"Although?"

"Your fiance has disrespect your mother the other day."

"Remove that woman then."

"Understood." Emerald colored eyes trace the well-being of the prince and despite relaxing she could see fatigue within him. "How was your expedition Your Majesty?" she don't posses a single trace of fear for asking her lord. They grew up together.

"We got into big war in Magnostadt, not against the magicians but to black djinns, and lost many of them there."

"I heard it from Lady Junjun, but it wasn't your fault and I'm sure they are happy that they died serving you."

"Well I'm not happy." Kouha look at his reflection in his tea that showing how solemn his face is.

'Our king is always like this, everytime we lost a comrade due to the war he mourn for them, more than to anyone. Normally, a leader would only mourn when it is death of his closest subordinate but Lord Kouha is different. He will mourn even they are in lowest rank in his squadron. He even know each of our names and where we came from. He always remembers that.'

"Still we are so glad you come back to us alive and kicking like you always was."

"Oh you are?"

"All of us." she smiles. "My Lord, would you like a massage. I'm sure you have sore body by now."

"You know me right." Kouha response as he sit up and plant his face on his bed "Then I'll leave it to you."

Haka bows and proceed towards him.

'Everytime he suffering from lost, Lord Kouha always tired in his soul and body.'

"Haka," at the mentioned of her name, the young teen turn to the older man. She bows acknowleging his presence.

They are in a hallway; she left the prince after fixing him to be able to sleep properly.

"Thank you for supporting our King, Meihou-san."

"Thank you for easing his pain, Haka."

Sadness is written all over her face. "That's the only thing I can do since he never let me join the squad, despite being part of his household vessel."

"Well, it'll be more painful if he lost you too."

"You talking in nonsense again Meihou-san." but Meihou only laugh at her blunt response.

"How's his mother?"

"She's doing fine. There are times she would come back as our prince's mother but then quickly switching back to the five year old child."

Meihou sighs, everyone wish for their prince's mother's health to improve.

'Praying for her health is the only thing we can do, other than serving him. We all know how much Kouha loves his mother, and she is one of his reason for serving the king as a Supreme Commander. So we will going to do everything to protect her in his place.'

"Hmmp!" a scoff was heard by the two attendants of the third prince that made them halted to their stroll. "Such lowly people roaming around the palace as they pleases." When they turn they found the fiance of their prince looking down at them "Don't you have shames?" The two only stare at her, their faces shows no reaction towards her bashing to them.

Haka and Meihou shows tired smile at her. This woman is a daughter of one of the chiefs in Kou's province; they didn't know if she know it but she only able to live here in the palace all because of her father's status. The prince never shows affection towards her, nor even bed her. She just here as an ugly decoration.

"If isn't Lady Kirin? What do you need from us?"

Haka's good at hiding her bloodlust towards the woman. She hates the so-called lady since she come here to offer herself to their prince.

"Huh?!" Lady Kirin scoff once again, which the two brush off. "I don't need anything from such lowly people like you! I want to talk with my future husband."

"Sorry, but Lady Kirin whoever you were saying your future husband?" Meihou refrain himself from laughing.

"Who else, idiot?! It is the third prince!"

"Oh!!! But My Highness has no knowledge of you!"

"Hey you pig! Don't you dare talk to me like that?"

"Like what Lady Kirin."

"You disrespectful pig!"

"Oh sorry! Does it my sound or you imagining things?"

"I gonna tell you to him! And I going to make sure You'll Be Punish!"

"Oh! Thank you for reminding me about punishment Lady Kirin!" For some sort of reason Kouha's attendies started to gather around the woman, with dislike towards her written all over their faces.

"You hurt our prince's mother, aren't you?" Jinjin can be heard from behind the woman.

"Do you know that we have punishment for such person as you?" Reirei question, not actually wanting an answer.

"What?" One eyebrow rise while she looking down at the others. "So you decided to gang-up on me!"

"You are so funny Lady Kirin." no one laugh, not even Haka. "News about you laying your hands on Lord Kouha's mother has reached his ears."

"What did you--"

"Yes, and for your information, our prince has already give out an order regarding this matter." Lady Kirin suddenly felt a fang dig in her flesh although none of the people there has lay their hands on her. "Lady Kirin you are no part of his life or even a candidate to be his wife. So please leave the palace peacefully."

"Huh?" Kirin laugh maniacally "And why would I believe you? You are just a lowly maid whose licking her master's foot!"

"That's Lord Kouha's order but we're not finish with you yet."

Blood eyes shoots at the woman. Fear started creeping inside her.

"These people are crazy!" Her last thought before she gone missing to the palace and the next news they heard, she lost her sanity.

"Have you guys take care of that woman?"

"Yes Lord Kouha."

'We will always protect our master. For he is the one who accepts us.'
