Sans is a MONSTER and not a HUMAN, so he doesn't follow HUMAN biology like a HUMAN skeleton. Same with Gaster and Papyrus.
-----------------------------------
Eating ice cream sundaes, at a café, on a nice sunny day... Seemed like a nice idea for a date, for Andrew and Blair, seeing as they had all the free time in the world that day. Andrew had ordered strawberry, while Blair had decided to buy chocolate. They smiled at each other from across the table, just being a monster and a human who were very much in love. "I wonder how Sans and Frisk's honeymoon is going." Blair stated, before eating another spoonful of ice-cream. The human had nodded in agreement, very clearly agreeing with her comment, as he had been wondering the exact same thing. They had yet to hear from the two, and they hoped everything was going okay.
"I'm sure they're having a good time... Still crazy to think they're married." Andrew replied. It felt like yesterday when he first met Frisk; became her friend. The skeleton was constantly on edge, always paranoid, looking for something to snap about. Andrew had been afraid of him, for a very long time, he always had been worried of setting him off. But, over time, things changed. Sans became an easier person to be around. Even Frisk was more confident. It was sweet.
"I agree. They looked so happy though." Blair smiled, thinking back to their wedding day, which had been several days ago now. Frisk had looked extremely beautiful, in her long, white, elegant dress, her hair all done up, with a little touch of facial makeup. Sans had looked very handsome, in his suit, where he couldn't stop smiling in joy that he'd be getting married to the love of his life. You'd think with Andrew and Blair being their ex's, they'd find it hard to be happy for them. Not at all. They were full of energy for them, especially when the monster and the human had a relationship of their own to now be grateful for.
"They really did." Andrew said, seeming ready to eat another spoonful of ice-cream, at least until his phone began to ring. Admittedly, it made him jump a little in his seat, because he hadn't been expecting it. But then he wondered whether it might have been Frisk, or Sans. Evidently enough, it was Sans. He answered. "Hello?"
"your brother is a psychopath." Was the first thing that came from the skeleton's mouth. It had been a couple of days now, since James had tried to kill him and Frisk, since he ran and jumped off the side of the boat. There hadn't seemed to be any sign of him since. The skeleton had been trying to contact Andrew for the past couple of days, of course, in the middle of nowhere, it was difficult to get signal for a single phone call.
"Come again?" Andrew rose an eyebrow, which immediately made Blair begin to start looking at him with genuine confusion. Sans exhaled, as he was standing on the deck, leaning on the railing of the ship. Frisk was currently back in their room, spending one of her days just to lounge around a little. While he had signal, he took an opportunity to call.
"your brother? james? i woulda thought he'd be dead, or arrested at the very least. but he was here. couple days ago. tried to kill me." Sans glared down at the ocean before him, as if he was imagining James' face right before him, so he could burn a hole through the centre of his forehead. Problem was that Andrew and James had the same face - they were twins. So, it felt a little weird to imagine.
"But..." Andrew paused. First, he had to wrap his brain around the fact that his brother was actually alive. For years, he had been very sure his whole family was deceased. He had made his peace with it; moved on, even though they hadn't been very good people. But now he was sitting here, finding out his brother was among the living? It was a strange feeling. "I don't understand. Why? What did he want?"
"i'm not sure. he never said. never spoke a word, actually." Instead, James had stalked his way around the ship, watching them, like that one day Sans had caught him staring at him and Frisk upon the deck. It had been so creepy. He was just... Watching. "maybe he wants revenge for his family. maybe he wants to track ya down." Sans theorised, but that only brought himself more concern if that was the case. Would James try and hurt anyone else to get what he possibly wanted? He wasn't sure. "look, andrew, can ya just warn everyone else about it? i would, but i'm havin' trouble callin' people."
"Y-Yeah... Of course. I'll let them know." Andrew said, and once Sans had given a small "thanks" in return, they hung up. Andrew's pupils trailed towards his melting sundae, as his brain was thinking back over the conversation. Blair was saying something, but he was a million miles away. James. James, his brother, was still alive... He tried to kill Sans, tried to kill Frisk... And that only spelled trouble.
"Andrew?" Finally, when he zoned back in, it turns out he could hear Blair saying his name in worry, clearly trying to figure out what it was that was wrong.
"My brother... He tried to kill Sans and Frisk on their honeymoon." Andrew spoke, seeing Blair looking just about as horrified as he felt. His family had already tried to hurt Sans in the past, when they had been part of the group that had kidnapped Gaster and taken him away. His family gladly hurt the man with no second of regret. Being his parent's son, and a brother to James, he had always wanted to try and justify their actions. Say that no matter what they did, he couldn't hate them, they were family. But this? This was ridiculous. Trying to kill two people, who were his friends, on what was supposed to be one of the happiest days of their lives. It was truly unacceptable. "We have to warn the others." He said, already getting out of his seat.
"Well, are they okay?" Blair pondered, as she quickly got out of her own seat to follow her boyfriend who was now concerned. Andrew simply stated how it would seem so, but Sans still wanted him to warn everyone. So, they headed to the Mafia headquarters, a place that Andrew didn't find himself very often anymore. But he would come here if it meant it was for the safety of his friends.
"Hey, Andrew, Blair... You're both looking a little tense." Grillby spoke, when they had entered his bar, to go towards the elevator that descended down into the Mafia headquarters. "Do you want anything?"
"Haven't got time to talk. I'll have Gaster explain it to you later." Andrew simply told him, rushing to the elevator with Blair in tow. The flame monster just nodded, allowing them to continue with their business, but now he couldn't help but feel a little worried himself. He wondered what they were in such a hurry about.
With a small 'ping', the elevator arrived at its destination, putting the fox monster and the human in their rightful place - the Mafia. Seeing as Gaster was now the boss, Andrew figured they might find him in the office, working away. Seeing as this was quite important, Andrew knew they should go to him first. Maybe he could call a meeting with everyone else. So, reaching the office door, Andrew rose his fist, and gave the door a loud knock, before waiting to be invited inside.
"You may come in." A familiar skeleton monster's voice spoke up.
That being said, him and Blair glanced at one another, before allowing themselves inside...
