"taehyung!"
looking up from the screen where he previously played fortnite together with a boy called mark, taehyung saw jackson entering the room, smiling widely.
"jackson hyung, hey."
"no, no don't say hey, say goodbye! they did it— bts did it!" he said happily, causing taehyung's eyes to lit up.
it has been two days. two days were taehyung was worried sick. no one answered his calls, nor did they read his messages.
"r-really?" nodding, jackson helped taehyung up from where he was sitting on the floor next to mark.
"that means i can go back?" the blond questioned and mark snickered. "don't sound too happy about it, you make me feel bad."
taehyung giggled. "no, i'll miss all of you so much. it was really fun."
"pack your things bub, jimin and yoongi hyung are going to pick you up. jk... is busy." jackson said and taehyung nodded, skipping out of the room.
mark looked at jackson, who sighed loudly and raised an eyebrow. "something bad happened, right?"
jackson sighed. "yup. nothing new tho."
a squeal left taehyung's lips, when he heard his phone ringing, the device displaying seokjin's name. "oh my god, hyung i'm so glad and happy—"
"jimin and yoongi are almost there, you should pack your things and be ready."
taehyung halted at the tone the older used. "o-okay. is everything alright, you sound... different."
there was a short silence between them. "i'm just... busy, don't worry bear, you'll find out when you're back. first of all you need to come back safely."
jin's voice sounded normal now, yet taehyung couldn't rest knowing something happened. "o-okay i will pack my things then, love you hyung."
jin smiled warmly. "love you too, bear." they ended the call and once the beep sound signaled the call is over, taehyung sat down on his bed, worriedly staring at nothing in particular. nonetheless he was able to pack his whole things and carried hist suit case to the front door.
he brushed his hands on each other and took a deep breath. "now... i have to wait."
waiting seemed boring though, so he decided to go back to mark.
"do you play the whole day over?" taehyung asked and mark hummed. "i'm the computer freak in this team, technology is my best friend, it doesn't bother me one bit. wanna play again?"
taehyung squealed and sat next to him, taking a controller.
half an hour had passed, when the door bell finally rung, causing taehyung to immediately jumped up and run to the door, where youngjae was already opening up.
taehyung smiled his widest boxy smile, as he ran into the arms of his best friends, who caught him and held him tightly. "missed you." taehyung mumbled against yoongi's chest.
"we missed you too, bear." jimin smiled, brushing his hand through the youngest's hair.
taehyung turned around and looked at got7's members, a sad smile now on his lips. "thank you so much, i enjoyed my stay here. i hope you can come visit someday. i will miss you."
jinyoung hugged taehyung. "we'll miss you too."
"tae you've got my number, right?" bambam asked and the blond nodded. "i got all your numbers." he said.
jimin and yoongi smiled and the three bangtan members bid their goodbyes towards the other males and walked out.
"was your stay alright? they must've been loud."
"they were so loud. louder than our team." taehyung laughed and jimin and yoongi smiled, when he saw taehyung through the rear view mirror.
"our team sounds just right coming from your mouth." yoongi said, taking a left turn on a side street.
taehyung smiled lightly. "jeon offered me to live with you... in bts." the blond expected his black haired best friends to look surprised, but they weren't at all.
"we know, babe, he was happy when you said yes." jimin said and taehyung widened his eyes. "was he?"
yoongi smirked when he saw taehyung blushing through the mirror. "bear, you know, jeongguk doesn't get happy that easy, but whenever he talks about you he seems to be that."
taehyung blushed even more. "sh-shut up. he probably feels just good lately."
"good, knowing you are here." jimin mocked and taehyung rolled his eyes.
"hyung can you turn the music on."
"of course."
"tae, you know, choi's men are gone now, but the police aren't. you have to reassure your sister that you are fine, so that the police leaves you alone." jimin explained and taehyung nodded. "can i call her right now? it's better if we do it as fast as possible." taehyung asked.
jimin looked to yoongi who shrugged. "do it, but let min speak first." yoongi said.
jimin rolled his eyes. "whenever you call me that now, i feel so differently." he mumbled to yoongi, who chuckled. "in a good or bad way?"
jimin blushed.
taehyung didn't understand anything.
"did i miss something?" he asked, jimin giggled. "yoongi calls me min not because of my name, but because of his surname."
taehyung pursed his lips in order to hold his laughter back, but failed and laughed out loudly. "i can't believe this, for real? i thought it's because of ji- min."
i thought so too." jimin said and yoongi chuckled, pecking his cheek. "well, baby, soon or later, your gonna carry my surname."
jimin blushed, hitting yoongi's shoulder.
then he turned to tae, who was still laughing a little. "give me your phone, bub."
taehyung told jimin his sister's phone number and jimin called. soon a girl picked up.
"hello?"
"hey, aro noona, here's jimin."
"park jimin? how did you get my number?"
"doesn't matter. i wanted to ask you... did the police find something out about taehyung's disappearance?"
it was quite on the other line, but the silence was gone when small sniffles could be heard. taehyung's heart clenched.
"h-he most probably got kidnapped. jimin, i'm so worried, i-i'm so scared."
"noona, are you alone?" jimin then asked and she answered with a quiet yes.
"make sure no one can here what we're talking about, kay?" the girl on the other line hesitated but soon gave in. "what is this about?"
jimin gave taehyung the phone now, who put it on loud speaker. "aro, hey, it's me, tae."
"taehyung!"
"no, shhh, no one can know... please."
"oh my god, tae, where are you, are you alright? please be okay."
taehyung felt like crying. he never thought his sister cares for him so much.
"d-don't worry, i'm fine. i couldn't be better."
"where are you tae?"
"i can't tell you, i don't wanna tell you. aro.. please understand that i've started a new life, i'm happier here. i have a family that cares for me and... does everything for me. i have my best friends here and... i found someone i like. i didn't want to call any of you, but you involved the police, but i'm fine. i thought you could maybe tell the police that."
aro was quiet for a bit, taking in taehyung's words. "a family? tae we are your family."
taehyung's smile dropped. "noona... in our family you are the only one caring for me, mom, dad, bogum— they only care about money. i know you know it too. you know this isn't what a family is about."
aro waited a little. "how are the people there?" she asked quietly.
"caring, lovely, funny. you already know jimin and yoongi, there are four more people."
"they must be... really nice." she whispered and taehyung smiled. "they are. i thought they weren't in the beginning because of a reason i can't tell you— but they are. they are everything i was longing for in a family."
"i'm so sorry, tae, i am a bad older sister."
taehyung chuckled. "yes, you are right. i just called so that you at least can tell the police that i'm fine. they shouldn't be wasting their time with me. i wasn't in that car with that men who caused the accident. i've been the whole time in seoul." he lied, but who cares.
"you weren't? oh my god i'm so relieved— everyone thought you've been kidnapped."
taehyung smiled sheepishly. "don't worry, no one kidnapped me." he lied, but she doesn't have to know.
"tae... can i see you?"
"no, you can't. this is a new chapter that i started in my life. i don't want anyone of our family to know where i am. i'm done with them. really. i wanna be free, you know?"
aro chuckled. "yes, i know. i'm so so sorry that i never listened to you."
"as you should, sis." taehyung laughed. "i forgive you."
"really?" taehyung hummed. "please tell our parents, that i won't ever come back, that they can suck my toes and fuck off."
aro gasped. "taehyung!" she giggled and taehyung smiled. "i promise to text you. save this number, i trust you to give it to no one. the police can't track this number anyways." taehyung explained.
"okay. i miss you."
taehyung halted. "i... can't say that i miss you too."
"i know. you have every right to not miss me." aro giggled, taehyung smiled.
"by the way, the person you like— is it a man?"
taehyung raised an eyebrow and glared at jimin who laughed at him. so he put the loud modus of the speaker off. "yeah it is."
"is he tall? handsome? strong?" aro continued asking. taehyung felt a little uncomfortable, nonetheless he answered. "all of that."
aro squealed and taehyung looked surprised. shouldn't she be on bogum's side?
"okay, you said you like him? how much?"
taehyung smiled. "i like him... a lot."
