Chapter 2
You know how people idolize some individuals without even really knowing what they were actually like, just because of something they did? Well that's what happens with the 'anonymous writer' as they've said. People don't even know who he/she is... which is to be considered as it is the sole purpose of being hidden from the general public. There have been different revelations on who it could've been, but none have been accurate.
The anonymous writer appeared around the same time the war between the two gangs escalated from a silent warfare to open warfare. It wouldn't be long before they come out of hiding to settle it. It started with an impulsive decision of one of the members of the Titans. No one was quite sure what had happened or how it happened. One incident led to another and the whole thing ended with the deaths of the Olympian leaders and the Leader of the Titans thrown in maximum security prison for life... But what the people didn't know was that two of the unidentified bodies belonged to two innocent civilians who were figuratively and literally caught in the crossfire.

The night was silent and cold. It had an ominous feeling to it. It was at times like this -when the town's asleep- the crimes take place. When the cops fall asleep in their cars and the only sound heard is the snoring of a drunk guy passed out on a bench.
It was at that moment when the silence was disturbed as four black motorcycles surrounding a black van broke through the empty streets pursued by two more. It was quite obvious that the first five vehicles were trying to get rid of the latter two, if the shots fired at them were any indication.
The riders of the first vehicles wore helmets adorned with the symbol of a scythe, which marked them as members of the Titans. Which confirmed that the others were Olympians as they bore no mark.
Although the Titans couldn't get rid of their pursuers as they kept evading their bullets, the other party managed to shoot the tires of two motorcycles making them veer off-course and crash. The other Titans sped up in hopes of escaping and was reaching a crossroads where six more motorcycles and a van belonging to the Olympians arrived blocking off all exits and, in turn, ridding them from any of escape as any other attempt would destroy the cargo they carried.
All of them except the men driving the vans got off their motorcycles with firearms in hand. The two Titans held their gun seemingly trying to appear menacing, but it was a futile attempt as they were outnumbered two to eight.
"Drop your weapons and we will let you leave unscathed." An authoritative voice called out.
The two exchanged a glance and simultaneously dropped their weapons and raised their hands in a 'I surrender' gesture. Two of the Olympians trained their guns on them while another dragged the driver of the van out of the vehicle. Two remained guard while the remaining three opened the back of the van and loaded the bags of money and rare artifacts the Titans stole -from an antique shop which doubled as the black market for many stolen precious items- to their own van.
The raid was done and they left after shooting the tires of the opposite gang's vehicles. The Titan's had no choice but to call back to HQ for help. They failed... again... and they would have to face the consequences. Maybe it would've been better if they were killed instead...
In the heat of the event that just took place, they didn't notice the pair of eyes that watched from behind a pair of square-rimmed glasses. That night the editors 'The New Athens Times' would yet again receive an article from the anonymous writer.

"P-please m-madam! Please forgive us! We only n-need one m-more chance-"
"Enough!"
She looked down at the man who had fallen to his knees in front of her, with his companions standing a couple of feet behind. All of them avoided her eyes. Rightfully so as they had failed her yet again. "'Please madam! Let us have one more chance! We won't disappoint you!' Was it not what you said earlier Daniel?" She asked in a mocking voice. "But, here you are again! You gave up all you stole without batting an eyelash, and yet, you don't even have the decency to look me in the eye like a man."
The man, now known as Daniel, trembled on his place on the ground. The current leader of the Titans may be a woman, but she was more dangerous than a man could be as she held no remorse or guilt towards her actions.
"I'm s-sorry madam! W-we were out-numbered!" He tried to justify himself, but knowing it won't have any effect on her. It was said that it was better to die on a mission than to come back to report a failure. He envied one of the men who didn't survive the mission as his motorcycle had crashed into a large power supply unit.
He could feel her unwavering gaze on him at all times and heard the heavy breaths of his frightened companions. She pressed a button on her desks and eight guards came into the room. They stood around the disgraced Titans awaiting her orders.
She sat on her desk, legs crossed and spoke up in a sickly sweet voice laced with venom. "Well... it seems like I have no use for you anymore."
Daniel's head snapped up -almost giving him whiplash with the speed it did- and his frightened eyes reached hers for the first time that day as a cold sweat was felt at the back of his neck and goosebumps rose on his arms.
He could only stare in horror as her eyed hardened and she gave the command that condemned them to a fate worse than death.
"Take them to the dungeon." The words were spoken with a coldness that chilled them to their bones and it took a moment for it to process. Chaos erupted in the room as two guards each grabbed a man and dragged them out of the room and toward the lower levels. A small smirk adorned her face as she heard their screams of the men as she took a sip of her tea.

Well... I don't know how I feel about this chapter... Was it weird?
It's really important to get your feedback on this chapter specifically so that I can decide how to continue. I was thinking of alternating between the normal stuff and the gangly stuff... Like, so the next chapter would be normal stuff and the one after that would be a chapter like this. It'll go on like that until I connect them in a way and the chapters would be in a different setting... (I don't really know how to explain it...) Should I do it that way...? Or I could change it up...
So... Please leave your thoughts...!
Don't forget to comment and vote!
Love yourself and everyone close to your heart!
