Chapter 45 (I)
Shehryaar stood up, fuming.
His eyes trained on the delicate injured woman on the ground. She was so fragile.
Yet she was a lethal woman.
Today was one fucked up day full of betrayals.
And from none other then the two people he trusted most.
Anissa and Zameer.
Anissa was one challenging woman. She had managed to make him feel emotions that fazed and played with his mind.
He had thought that he had finally broke her. How wrong he was.
He could've never thought even for a second that she would plan to leave him.
And here he was thinking of finally treating her with some gentleness. He had planned to make things a little better when he got back from China. He had even thought of spending some quality time with her and try to be a little less intimidating towards her. After all, it did him no loss to treat her with a little softness. She was his wife after all and even he had to admit that he had treated her wrongfully. Of course she was stubborn but that was the fun. Her personality was a constant stimulation for him. A constant trigger towards amusement.
But this one act shattered every bit of hope that rose.
Now he was furious.
She betrayed him by leaving him. And what's more, she was talking about divorce? Divorce!
From him?
How fucking dare she? He thought.
Never in a million years had he thought that she would betray him like this.
He was a hard man and one who didn't trust so easily. And now, he learned that he could never trust Anissa again.
She was no different then the few people he had trusted.
He looked back at the picture fame that lay broken on the floor of her small bedroom.
He knew what the picture meant.
"You just had to ruin everything." He murmured to himself and lifted Anissa's unconscious body into his arms.
Her forehead was bleeding from the impact of the gun's handle. Even now, she looked so beautiful.
But now Shehryaar knew that looks were too deceiving.
He was deceived by her beauty.
He had always allowed himself to bask in her beauty that he failed to understand what she was thinking sometimes.
"You just had to fuck this up." He hissed as his arms tightened around her small delicate frame, her scent tainted by the smell of her blood.
He wanted to hurt her so badly; this one small injury and this little blood wasn't enough to satisfy his wounded ego.
But he kept himself patient. He had been patient till now.
He pulled out of the house and headed towards the awaiting limosine.
After Anissa's kidnapping, Shehryaar took some serious steps in modifying the tracker in Anissa. While she was recuperating from her starvation, he had managed to put a new and improved tracker in her hip. This one would notify him if she was a few yards away from his estates since his estates were wired under his security company, one of his own design.
He was technological genius and creating a tracker that could easily use electromagnetic as well mechanical waves was the first of its kind. And only Shehryaar knew about it since he had no plans of launching it on a commercial scale.
The conference he was attending was very important. All his devices and weapons were confiscated. The room was underground and completely secured. But the wireless indicator in his wrist watch immediately notified him that Anissa had left his estate. He had excused himself from the conference even though it was risky but Anissa was more important.
He had immediately called Zameer. Zameer had notified him that there was power break caused by a storm. And when he went back to look for Anissa, she wasn't in her room.
But Shehryaar knew Zameer all too well. After all, he was a skilled analyser and he knew immediately that Zameer was lying. Zameer had never lied to Shehryaar before. When he had attended his call, Zameer's voice sounded surprised and that's when Shehryaar immediately knew that whatever Zameer was about to say was going to false.
And he knew immediately that something was up.
The security on the island was full proof. There was no way she could've been kidnapped.
And when he logged into her tracker location, she was heading towards the airport.
Then there was only possibility. And Zameer's reaction had confirmed it. Shehryaar immediately ordered Aamir, his best snipper to apprehend Zameer. Aamir informed Shehryaar five minutes later that Zameer went down without so much as a word and Shehryaar immediately knew that Anissa ran away and Zameer helped her.
She had run away.
And that fact alone made him feel a rage that he had never felt before.
He felt like destroying each and everything around him.
And thats exactly what he did. He trashed his entire hotel room.
She ran away! She fucking ran away from! He kept screaming in his head. His hands itches to kill to relieve his anger.
But he had to be patient.
Betrayal always met with painful outcomes and now Anissa was about to see a side of him that he hid away from her all this time.
If she had thought that he was relentless and monstrous before then she was about to be surprised.
The tracker went off after her location showed that she was at the airport as the signals were cut and Shehryaar knew that Zameer must've given her the anticode that would freeze any tracker. Even the new tracker couldnt stand against the anticode.
He had his men immediately check all the flight records that were leaving for Islamabad. It was confidential information which his men had to threaten out of the staff.
Shehryaar knew he was probably breaking rules and threatening his position in Dubai but fuck if he cared anymore.
Anissa was more important.
She still didn't figure out to what extent he could go for her.
Hell would freeze all over before he would even let her entertain the idea of leaving him.
He didn't care about the specifics. Her name wasn't found on the passenger manifesto. Of course her passport was with him.
He began to doubt whether or not she had actually run away. But one look at the passport scanning records confirmed that she had used a false name but her picture couldn't be faked.
And she was indeed headed for Islamabad.
Shehryaar came to know about everything within the span of three hours.
He was surprised with himself for keeping so calm. But inside, his anger was raging like a storm. He trashed his hotel room again with the little that was left before storming out and making his way to his private jet.
He was six hours ahead of Anissa and had reached her home.
He was a hundred percent positive that she would be coming to her parents. Where else would she go? He had thought that she was smart and she had managed to surprise and even shock him at times. But he knew, she was still too normal and thus too simple minded.
She had failed to understand her position and her new life as his wife. She still lingered to her moral values and simplicity.
But could he blame her? She had expected a normal marriage.
Their worlds were too far apart.
She still managed to shine under the warm sun while he lingered in the shadows.
It would've been the normal thing to do. When he entered her home, he had to remind himself that she was coming from a common and normal background. There was no way that she could comprehend anything else. The simplicity and homely atmosphere of her home was testament to that.
But she was still stupid and a fool for even trying to get away from him.
Her parents were gone to attend a wedding in Lahore. Shehryaar made sure to keep an eye on her family since he knew that his enemies were constantly on his trail. He wasn't keeping her family secure because he felt any responsibility to protect his in laws rather, he had done so because they were practically his hostages and they were so oblivious to it.
He was glad that her parents were not home. He would've had no problem dealing with them but he wanted to deal with Anissa first. She still had no idea how obsessive he was about her.
He had tied her down to himself through marriage and was certain that it would be forever yet Anissa ran away.
At that time, he felt like having her parents brought in and shot in their very homes in front of Anissa: a lesson to her for trying to leave him.
She still hadn't realised her position as a Mafia wife. And now, he would have to use other means to making her understand that she no longer belonged to a normal life or had a close to normal future.
And now, he was about to hurt her so badly that it would leave scars that wouldn't heal and he'd make sure of it.
When he entered her bedroom, her faint scent of lilies was still there. He laid in her bed. Even her pillowed bore her scent.
And at that time, he felt something in his heart that he had never felt before.
It was deep pang.
A deep emotion that made his chest tighten.
She left him.
She abandoned him.
Just like his brother and mother.
His anger felt a little levitated but it still raged on however, this feeling was more stronger.
It was painful and gripped at his mind and heart. His emotions ran free.
He was losing control.
What was this feeling that caused him this pain?
Was this hurt?
Did he feel hurt because she left him?
Yes indeed he did feel hurt.
The only time he felt this way when his twin died.
His world was already so grey and without Anissa he felt like his world would collapse.
'It's all your fault. Why did you hurt her so much?' Shahzeb whispered in his head.
Shehryaar squeezed his eyes shut. He didn't blame himself then why the hell did Shahzeb?
'She's mine. She's my wife. She was suppose to bear with it. She was suppose to underhand me and stick with me.' He mentally reasoned.
He felt so lost and broken.
He felt like setting the whole world on fire.
This pain, it wouldn't go away. It caused a wave of different emotions to wash over him.
All night long, he wallowed.
t
he soft buzz from his wrist watch notified him that Anissa must've landed and quickly disposed the anticode.
so he stayed and waited.
In her bed, he felt her. He felt her warmth.
After starving her and almost killing her, he had thought to stop.
He had noticed something in their two month marriage.
She had never once smiled at him.
So he thought to himself that he wanted to see her smile.
Her tears were pleasurable but they didn't give him what he wanted.
He wanted her willingness. He wanted her warmth. So he decided that from now on he would do something to make her smile instead of crying.
But Anissa ruined everything.
Only she was to blame for what was to come.
The click and sound of the main door aroused him from his emotions.
He sat back up. His eyes caught sight of a picture placed on her side table.
He stood up and pulled out his gun while with the other hand he studied the picture. It was of her graduation day.
She was smiling. It was so dazzling.
He wanted to see that for himself.
Anissa didn't know but Shehryaar was also there that day. He was silently watching her from a distance. he had witnessed her at her most proudest and happiest moment. His eyes were looking at the picture while his mind was recalling that moment. She was so carefree as if nothing else mattered and at that time, Shehryaar had wanted nothing but to claim her as his but he knew he couldn't. not when Shehzeb was around.
And now, when she was finally his, even then she ran away from him. His mind failed to comprehend. Of course he understood that she ran away after all his treatment towards her wasn't exactly decent. But she was his wife.
She was suppose to endure him.
She was bound to him and thus she had no right to complain.
But she did.
Shehryaar pulled himself out of his thoughts and glanced down in his arms. Her expression wasnt peaceful.
Good. he thought as a cold smile curved his lips.
Anissa tested him a every point.
She was stubborn and he admired her for her tenacity. She was strong and fought against him for what she believed in and it was amusing while it lasted but not anymore. If that same stubbornness and tenacity caused him to lose her then he had to inflict so much damage on not only her body but this time, on her mind and soul.
This was practically the last straw.
He had kept his true nature hidden from her till now.
But not anymore.
He was cruel, too cruel.
Ruthless.
Heartless.
Remorseless.
Till now, she had only seen him as Shehry.
Now, she was about to witness him as Shehryaar Ghulari, the Mafia boss.
And she would get what every one who dared to go against him got without any mercy.
She disobeyed him.
She disrespected him.
And she betrayed him.
He was about to teach her the ultimate lesson that would discipline her for good.
