A rather sullen looking girl was standing in the doorway.

"A plaque fell," she said, sounding bored.

Hidgens let out a breath of relief and lowered his gun.

"You scared the shit out of me," he sighed.

"Sorry," the girl grumbled. She was wearing an old Hatchetfield College football jacket over a black turtleneck and faded jeans. She looked almost exactly like Professor Hidgens. Her hair was long and black, and in a braid down to her waist.

"I heard voices, so I came to investigate," she said, stepping towards the group.

"It's happening, Mae!" Professor Hidgens exclaimed as he seized the girl by her shoulders. The color drained from her face. "The world is becoming a musical!"

Paul interrupted.

"This is a lot to take in, uh, do you have something that can take the edge off things? Like, something to drink?"

Professor Hidgens turned to him.

"Young man," he started. "I've been stockpiling the bare essentials for the end of the world for the past thirty years. OF COURSE WE HAVE BOOZE! Follow me!" Paul, Emma, Bill, and Ted followed the professor out of the room. Only Mae noticed Charlotte stay back, before Mae silently crept out of the room.

"So, Mae, which plaque fell?" Hidgens asked the girl when she caught up to the group.

"One of the football ones, I think," Mae said after pondering for a second.

"Fuck," hissed Hidgens.

A few minutes later, everyone was focusing on calming down, sitting at Hidgens's bar. Emma was talking to Mae.

"I don't think we were properly introduced," said Mae.

"I'm Emma, Emma Perkins."

"Mae Hidgens." Mae held her hand out for Emma to shake. "Pleasure." Emma smiled.

Just then, Charlotte and a now-conscious Sam burst into the room.
