( CHAPTER TWENTY - SELLOUT )
CHAPTER TWENTY; SELLOUT
Her whole body felt numb and her mind was filled with nothing but guilt. What the hell was she doing? Kissing her ex-lover and possibly ruining what good she had in her life. A tear had fallen from her brown eyes as she sat in the back of a taxi that was taking her back to her boyfriend.
She had pulled away from Seth after they had kissed, her rightful conscious coming back and taking over her mind to give her drunken state a push. Logan looked up at him with widened eyes, processing what she had just done. "No, this can't happen again," She shook her head, the small smile that was on Seth's lips had disappeared when the words escaped her mouth.
She had went back into the nightclub after that, leaving Seth standing behind her looking completely devastated and stupid. She had told her friends that she was leaving, ignoring their protests and then downing two shots before she left to grab a taxi.
And that's where she was now, sitting in the back of a taxi, crying while thinking about the worst possible scenario that could play out the second she stepped into the hotel room. The taxi driver had parked outside of her hotel, but Logan couldn't find the courage to get out of the vehicle. "Just a second," She sobbed, her hands coming up to hide her tear streaked face while the older man sitting in the driver's seat looked at her with pity.
"What the hell am I suppose to do now?" She started rambling on, taking about her life with a complete stranger. "I just kissed my ex-fiancé to be, and now I'm coming home to my boyfriend." She looked at the older man, who looked back at her with a raised eyebrow.
She thought he wasn't going to answer her. She thought she was being completely and utterly stupid that a total stranger would care about her personal life, not caring if the man in the front seat knew who she was or not.
"I think you should tell him, holding it off would just make it worse on the both of you." He had answered her back a minute later, looking at how her features had softened at his words. "Relationships are built on trust, young one. You were drunk and stupid. If he cares, or loves you, he would understand that it was just a drunken mistake."
Logan had laughed pitifully, not wanting that answer to come out of his mouth because he was right. She didn't want to tell Finn about this whole ordeal that took place, but she had to try and fix this even if it meant hurting him in the process.
"I hate that you're right." Logan had told him truthfully while leaning further into the seat. "I'm just so scared of loosing him.. he's the only good thing In my life right now."
The man smiled over at her, "By the looks of it, Logan Perris, you have other things to be happy about."
Logan looked up at the mention of her ring name, and her assumptions about whether or not he knew about who she was, was answered. "Thank you," She weakly smiled back at him, watching his own toothy grin. "here's for the drive home, and keep the rest." She passed him a twenty dollar bill and gathered herself out of the vehicle.
She sniffed while walking through the doors of the hotel lobby, the warm inviting air hitting against her cold skin, warming her cold bones. The desk manager had looked up at her, nodding with a smile towards her.
Logan had smiled back and started walking down the hallway of the first floor, finding her room quickly. To her surprise, Finn was laying on the bed, his back towards the headboard and a sleepy smile on his face appeared when she came into his line of sight. "Good night?" He had taken in her reddened cheeks, and the way she would lean to one side when she walked.
She had consumed a lot of alcohol.
"Yeah, some what." She had answered him back in a low voice, almost too quiet for him to hear as she began taking off her heels. Finn had raised an eyebrow when he heard the slight crack in her voice, and the sound of her being congested. "Hey," He got off the bed when she didn't bother to face him.
Finn's face had softened when his eyes fell upon her face, her eyes were bloodshot and glassy. "Have you been cryin'?" He questioned her while his thumbs came up to wipe away the wet trail left from tears that had fell minutes before.
Logan wanted to push him away, not wanting to fully look him into the eyes after what she had done. "I did something awful, Fergal.." She whispered while her voice cracked, her eyes threatening to spill more tears.
Finn had tensed slightly at the use of his full first name, since Logan had always either called him Ferg, or Finn. Logan seen the way his eyebrows furrowed while he looked down at her, his eyes not once leaving her face but she couldn't keep her eyes on him.
"Hey, just tell me what happened, we can work this out." He grabbed hold of her face, making her look back up at him as tears started falling from her eyes. "No, you'll never forgive me.."
Finn had started to puzzle things together into his own mind, without even being informed of what really went down tonight. He tensed further when his mind had wondered towards the worse possible answer to why she was so upset. Did she cheat on him, sleep with another man?
"Just tell me, Logan." His eyes had slightly darkened and Logan felt him slightly push her out of his caring embrace. Her throat had tightened quickly and she felt bile rise up in her throat.
God, she was going to throw up.
She swallowed harshly, trying to keep her contents in her stomach. "I- Seth kissed me," The words had left her mouth in pauses, like she couldn't get it out in a full sentence. Finn had stared back at her, and then his eyes went to the floor as he tried to get hold of what she had told him.
Logan watched as he swallowed and then his tongue came out to wet his bottom lip as he started to nod to himself. "Did you kiss him back?" He asked her quietly.
Logan's lips started to tremble at the sight of him, his eyes glued to the ground while his shoulders slumped. "Yeah, but it didn't mean anything, Ferg.. I'm drunk.."
Finn had squared his jaw at her words and a sigh escaped his mouth. He started nodding to himself again, trying to think of a way to handle this situation without completely loosing it. He turned his back towards her and reached for his suitcase that sat near the end of the bed and Logan's eyes had narrowed downwards.
"What are you doing?"
"I can't stay here after you telling me that." came out his low reply as he started packing up some shirts that had been discarded on the floor.
Logan had walked forward, grabbing his bicep to stop him from packing up his suitcase. "Please, don't.." He turned around, looking down at her intensely.
"You want me to sleep in the same bed as you, after you just told me you kissed another man?" It wasn't really a question, more like a statement that left his lips as she looked down at her with an unbelievable expression. "I need space, Logan.. let me go." He tugged his arm back from her delicate hands.
"So, that's it?" Logan's words had stopped him from walking through the door, making him turn around to look at the devastated woman standing in the room. "You're letting me go?"
"I didn't say I was breaking up with you, Lo. I just need some time to process everything."
---
That last few days had been spent with Dean and his girlfriend, Renee. It was nice to spend time with Dean to escape the thoughts of Finn that frequently clouded her mind. It was also nice to catch up with one of her bestfriends and work out again together.
Logan had also informed Dean and Renee of what's been happening with her and Seth, and Dean wasn't surprised to hear about it at all. Everyone knew Dean and Seth went way back, and he knew him like no other. He knew he had developed feelings for Logan once again, but Dean didn't think that he would put himself in-between the existing couple.
There was no denying that Logan couldn't keep her mind off two of the boys, more so Finn in particular. They haven't spoken since that night, which was a week ago.
Even though both of them attended the same house shows, they shared glances towards one another, neither of them approaching the other. She told the truth, the kiss that Seth and her shared, meant nothing but a drunken, stupid mistake.
She wanted Finn, not Seth.
She felt stupid and she should've seen the red flags, it played out just like those cliché romantic movies that you see in theaters. Girl gets mad a boy, ends up with sexual tension and they kiss. She let Seth come between the both of them, and ultimately, she let Finn come between her and him.
Emotions both got the best of them.
It's funny how just two months ago, that Finn had promised to not hurt her, it's only ironic that she was the one to hurt him.
Logan wanted revenge on Seth, but she also knew that their endless friendship laid on a thin line by doing so. Logan had to come to admit, that both of them hanging on to their friendship would only bring more difficulty to her and Finn's relationship, but would she really let a man come between her and one of her most treasured friendships?
Never in her wildest dreams did she thought that this would happen. But it had, and she had to deal with the fact that things had changed, and not in the way she wanted them too. She felt like she was loosing a part of herself for letting Seth slip through her fingers, that was still trying to hang on.
Tonight, she couldn't worry about her relationship that was hanging on by a piece of thread. It was RAW and she needed to get her mindset for her match, and later on her promo with Seth.
This was going to be one hell of a interesting promo, and it was all because she got to drop a pipebomb on Seth, which considering the situation that was going on between them, made her excited.
Logan was already in the city of Anaheim, California and it felt great to be in the California sun once again. She found herself in the backstage area of the Honda Center, sitting in the makeup chair getting her hair put up in two huge French braids.
"Have you talked to him yet?" Sasha sat in the opposite chair in front of her, getting her makeup done by Julie.
Logan looked up from playing with one of the diamonds in the fishnet stockings and pursed her lips. "No, but I do know that he's here tonight since he has a promo with Bray."
Sasha had nodded at her, not saying anything since Julie was now applying some lipstick to her lips. Logan had thought about looking for Finn before his promo, because most likely he would be in his locker room but because he had never made an effort to find her yet, she thought he didn't want to see her.
"Have you guys slept together?" Sasha whispered as soon as Julie walked away towards her case of makeup.
Logan's eyebrows rose when Sasha gave her a sly smirk. "No we haven't.."
"Poor guy, you're giving him blue balls."
"Sasha!" Logan squealed, her foot shooting out to hit her pink boot. She heard her hairstylist let out an unlady like snort, which made Logan want to lean back into her seat and disappear from this whole situation that Sasha had created.
"I'm just saying, once you give him the kitty, he will stay forever." Sasha then gave her a sly smirk, which made Logan narrow her eyes and start playing with her ring finger, which was lacking a certain pink ring.
"Look, I know you're afraid that he would leave you after it happens, but you just got to take that chance Lo." Sasha shot her back an assuring smile.
Logan adverted her eyes from her friend, only letting out a hum in response. "I have to go, promo is in five minutes." Logan told her while getting up to stand on her own two feet.
She grabbed her Championship from the table and started buttoning it around her waist while walking towards the gorilla. Logan started putting her black jacket over her shoulders when a certain laugh had captured her ears.
Her eyes flickered up and that's when she caught a glimpse of Finn, laughing along with Karl Anderson. She wanted to stop walking, turn the other way to avoid him spotting her but she knew she couldn't do that. Her promo was less than five minutes now.
"Good, you're here, Logan." Kurt Angle was quick to spot her approaching the curtain, and when Finn heard her name being called, he had turned around and their eyes met briefly.
Logan adverted his icy stare and flickered her eyes back onto the Raw General Manager who was passing her along a microphone. "I'm hoping you read through the script, keep it PG." Kurt had looked behind her, and she could only assume that Seth Rollins was not far behind her.
Finn had watched from afar, seeing the way Seth approached her. He saw the way their hands hit each other as he stopped along side her, and Logan pulled her hand away, folding her hands over her chest. From beside him, Anderson saw the way Finn's jaw had started clenching and the tension around Finn had switched completely as he tried to remain civil.
But he couldn't help but feel the pain of jealousy rise within him when they had looked at each other.
"I'll see you out there, I suppose." Logan coughed up a reply, anything to lift the awkward tension that rose in-between them.
Seth scratched the back of his neck as Dean came up beside the both of them. Dean's hand smacked Logan's ass, making her squeal out. "Go get em' Tiger! Make daddy proud."
Logan looked over at him with a disgusted look on her face, while Dean looked at her with a goofy smile. "Don't ever say that again, Deano."
"He's very excited about this," Seth commented, letting out an awkward chuckle. Logan's eyes flickered over towards Seth, and her eyebrow rose. "I see that."
Logan cracked her neck when her song had begun, her eyes went up to the monitor as the lights went out and Logan's eyes flickered back to where she saw Finn standing, hoping that he was still looking at her, but to her disappointment, he had left.
Logan sighed out and started walking up the stairs and through the curtain while putting her hood up. She took her usual spot on the stage, her back facing the crowd while the lights began to flicker.
The crowd were beginning to cheer as soon as Logan turned around, her hands shooting back down towards the ground. She placed a smirk on her face while unzipping her jacket, and revealing the gold that laid around her waist.
"I told you, didn't I?" Logan looked down at a camera, which was following her down the ramp. She smiled and started sprinting the rest of the way down, sliding in on her stomach and then propping her knee up to look out into the universe.
Logan rose to both of her feet once she lifted her hood up from her face. She twirled the microphone in her hand as her music started to die down and the 'Logan' chants began to rise throughout the arena.
Logan let a huge smile lift her lips as she started nodding along with the chants, her eyes scanning throughout the arena as she stood in the center of the ring.
Logan began to raise her microphone to her lips once she turned it on. "The Queen has arrived." She stated and the Universe roared in response.
Logan looked down at her feet with a smirk on her face. The California crowd was absolutely lively tonight, and she knew that this would stand good with the Managers. "Last week, I have proven to everyone what a real woman looks like, a woman who fights whether she is injured or not,"
Logan didn't get to finish her sentence when the crowd started cheering once again, covering up her voice. She smiled at the response that she was getting, the crowd loved her. "A real woman doesn't throw fits when she loses, and a real woman doesn't have someone like Nia Jax help her keep her championship."
"You see, there's not enough room for a Goddess and a Queen and I made that clear that I'm at the top of the food chain."
Logan let a twisted smirk spill from her lips as she began taking the belt from her waist and raising it in the air for everyone to see. "I'm the best that this-"
Logan's smile turned into a frown almost immediately when Seth's theme song started blaring through the arena. She turned her head to look towards the stage, seeing Seth and Dean come out together, their tag-team championships laying proudly on their waists.
Logan slowly let her championship fall back onto her shoulder and turned to face the stage as the two men started coming down towards the ring. Logan could hear the crowd behind Seth's music, screaming and cheering for them.
She wanted to smile at Dean as he started running in place inside the ring, but she knew she had to stay in character.
Logan moved out of the way when they walked behind her, to grab a microphone that was handed to them by crew members. Logan licked her lips and smirked. "Why am I not surprised you're out here?" She turned towards the two men who had interrupted her.
"Once again, stealing my spotlight." Logan looked out into the crowd. "It seems like you are always stealing spotlights, huh Seth?"
Seth started nodding his head while scanning the universe with his brown eyes. "Actually, I expected a simple thank you, since you know, I saved you from Nia."
Logan chuckled, "Truth is Seth, is that I didn't need your help in the first place and I certainly don't need you following me around."
Seth's face went blank for a second while he stared back at her, until he broke out into a laugh and his hand came out to scratch his beard. "It looked-"
"Shut up, I'm talking." Logan shot back towards him, shooting him an icy glare as the Universe roared in response. "Truth is, Ladies and Gentleman, Seth Rollins is jealous because I get more TV Time than he does."
Logan flickered her eyes back at Seth, who rose his eyebrows with a surprised expression on his face, while Dean was trying not to burst out laughing. Logan started to approach Seth, "I'm surprised you even let him compete beside you again, Dean? We both know that Seth Rollins is nothing but a cheater."
Logan licked her lips while Dean's attention was brought, and he lifted his chin at her while glaring. "It's no surprise that Seth hasn't been at the top since he abandoned his brothers, and it's only a matter of time before he stabs you in the back once again,"
"Alright, Is this the part where I tell everyone that I'm a jerk, and where you beat me up?" Seth questioned her with a grin on his face.
Logan shook her head, "You think you're this greatest thing since sliced bread, Just look at your name. Seth Freaking Rollins. Who does that?"
"Sounds like you're jealous because you know, and they know, just how good I am."
"Not jealous, no. I think you talk so highly of yourself because your lacking in... well, other departments." Logan carried on the last word on the tip of her tongue while looking into the camera and winking.
Logan's eyes flickered back towards Rollins, who was looking at her, completely stunned that he was hinting towards his dick size. Dean had snorted, looking down at his combat boots while his shoulder shook with laughter.
"Excuse me?"
"I mean we got the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose here, who is quite popular with the ladies," Logan gestured towards Dean with her hand, "Am I right, girls?" She directed her question towards the Universe, who roared in response.
"Whereas Seth.. well, you'll always be known as the man who sold out to the Authority. You're nothing but a Sellout, and I know what games you're playing here, you could never handle a woman like me."
Logan had dropped her microphone on the floor while her song had started playing again, "Hey, I didn't say you could leave!" She heard Seth yell out when she left the ring.
She looked up at the screen, and saw that Seth was leaning against the ropes, his eyes following her with an angry expression on his face.
