CHAPTER TWELVE; CHANCES
This morning, Logan woke up with the best feeling after such a long time. Her insides tingled with happiness she didn't know still existed inside of her, and she felt breathless every time her mind traveled back the kiss. Brooklyn wasn't disappointing her either, since the sun was shining brightly today. A perfect night to compete in the Barclays center, she thought.
Tonight, she would be competing in the same ring as Alexa Bliss after doing a promo earlier in the night which she was excited for. Both storylines were underway tonight, giving Logan not that much time to prepare her lines.
After Logan took a shower, she was putting some makeup after putting her hair up in a ponytail. She was about to meet up with Sasha and Bayley to do some shopping around Brooklyn's mall. She was excited since she had recently got her pay check, and she needed to add some more clothes to her wardrobe after donating the clothing that no longer fit her correctly.
She felt particularly confident this morning after her workout with Seth and Dean, but she couldn't help but notice that Seth hadn't been in the mood when she started informing Dean about what happened with Finn before his match. This was unusual behaviour from him, since she usually talked with the both of them about boys, but now it seems like Seth was acting cold; shaking off her comments about him, or him muttering away to himself.
Dean had noticed it as well. His eyes flickered back towards his former shield member with a confused expression on his face. Dean had told Logan that perhaps the reason of him acting so strange was because he didn't get enough sleep last night.
To her surprise, Seth had muttered her a goodbye and walked the opposite way, returning to his hotel room after their workout at the gym. She faced Dean, asking him if he was okay and Dean had just shrugged, telling her not to worry about him. Logan wasn't content with that answer though, she could tell that something had been bothering him lately, and she was bound to find that out, but for now, she had lunch to get too before her two friends cut off her head for her being late.
"Hey," Logan opened the door to the small café on the side of Brooklyn's main street. Paparazzi's were flashing their cameras behind her as she stepped out of her vehicle after parking it on the reserved parking spot. "Sorry I'm late... as always." She apologized before straightening out her mini skirt and then sat down on the wooden stool.
Sasha looked out of the café window, looking at the several paps screaming their names, the flashing white light filling her eyes, making her turn away in annoyance. "We're used to it by now." Bayley told her with a smile.
Logan ordered a salad and a green smoothie when the waitress came up to their table, ready to take her order as her friends had theirs already. "How you feeling, champ?" Logan's eyes flickered back on Sasha after giving her menu back to the middle aged lady.
Sasha's face lit up by the nickname that her friend called her. "It almost doesn't feel real, you know?" She nodded at her, picking up a fry from Bayley's plate. "I had to pinch her last night," Bayley added, making Sasha bump her shoulder into her, a playful scowl on her face.
Logan nodded in understanding. When she won the knockouts championship, it felt so sorrel to her almost like she was dreaming when her song came out in the arena when she won. "It's only a matter of time before I take it." Logan winked at Sasha. "So enjoy it while it lasts."
Sasha let out a small scoff. "I'll be prepared, you're gonna get your ass handed to you." She said with a cocky grin as she set her drink back on the table after taking a sip.
"Alright, you two." Bayley rolled her eyes as the two started to heat things up at the table. Bayley knew that the two of them were extremely competitive. "You ready to get out of here?" Bayley asked Logan, while looking down at the salad that's been destroyed by Logan.
Logan nodded and the three of them split the bill and started walking down the streets of the shopping square, going through the first door they saw. The three girls spent the next twenty minutes going to store to store, shopping and trying on clothes. On the way to the next store, they got stopped by a few fans; asking for photos.
"Last one?" Sasha asked while opening the glass door to the store. Logan hugged one of the younger fans and then walked towards Sasha, "Yeah,"
Bayley was the last one in the store, and then it locked behind them so they could shop without any fans interrupting them. "So, are you going to tell us about what happened between you and Finn?" Bayley questioned as Logan looked over at her.
"By the smile on your face, I'm guessing you already know." Logan commented after seeing the huge grin plastered over her face. Logan pulled out a royal blue jumpsuit off the rack while Bayley walked over; playfully elbowing her. "So.." She pressed, and when Logan looked over at her with a raised brow, she sighed. "How was it?"
Logan shrugged while her cheeks turned a shade of pink. "It was nice." She told her, but in reality, she was lying. The kiss wasn't just nice. It was amazing and just thinking back to it made Logan grin from ear to ear; sparks flying up her spine by the memory.
Bayley rolled her eyes. "He's a really nice guy, Lo." She put her hand on Logan's shoulder which made her pause what she was doing to turn and look at her. "He's not going to hurt you." Logan pulled her bottom lip in-between her teeth while she nodded.
She appreciated Bayley looking after her, but there was always this voice inside her head telling her to never put her guard down. She wished she could take Bayley's word on it, but she had heard that before and then the next minute her heart would be shattered on the floor.
She didn't think Finn would be the type of person to hurt her, but she had said that about Seth as well and things turned out for the worst at one point.
"Thanks Bayley." Logan looked back up at the brunette and gave her a nod. Bayley gave her a weak smile and then started going through the rack of clothing in front of her. "I haven't talked to him since last night." Logan said quietly, looking over at Sasha who was on the other side of the store.
Bayley looked over at Logan, her voice laced with worry. "He's just busy, you know?" Bayley told her; trying her hardest to calm the girls worries. "He's one of the top guys at the company and he barely gets time to think."
Logan nodded but her eyes never left the white lace top that was in her hands. "What if I waited too long?" She finally met Bayley's concerned eyes. "He was so angry.."
"He's a bit of a hot head." Bayley shrugged. "You didn't wait too long, Lo. Don't stress out about it."
Bayley's words seemed to calm Logan's thoughts of him not texting or calling her back. She had feared that she waited too long and that he grew tired of her bullshit and moved on. "You ladies finding everything okay?" A tall slender blonde came walking over, overlooking the clothes that Bayley and Logan had hanging on their arms.
"Yeah, I think I'm ready to check out." Bayley looked over at the middle aged blonde, who smiled at her and began walking towards the front of the store. Bayley turned her head, "How about instead of stressing over him, text him." Bayley suggested and walked off, leaving Logan standing there and watching her leave.
Logan began to chew on her bottom lip as she began to contemplate actually sending Finn a text. What would she even say, and what if he just opened her message and left her pondering. Logan rolled her eyes and let out a stressed sigh. "Screw it," She muttered under her breath and took out her phone, looking for Finn's contact number.
L.P
We need to talk.
Logan looked over the text, her eyes re-reading it over and over again and her thumbs erasing the words, over and over. She sighed again, and pressed send before she started getting angry with herself for thinking this simple thing like it was her last choice until she died.
She wasn't sure why she had so much difficulty speaking to Finn. It had always seemed like such an issue with talking about what was on her mind, and she was growing tired of it. She needed to just meet with him, face to face and have a serious conversation of what was going on between them.
It seemed like her thoughts were put on ease when her phone in her hands started buzzing, making her look down at the lit up screen.
F.B
Yeah, we do. Meet up after Raw?
A/N:
A bit of a short chapter, but it's a filler. I hope you liked the chapter, and if you did, remember to vote and give me a little bit of feedback. It really helps me improve with the story.
