"That's fantastic though, we need another girl to on our side." Maddie says happily as she skips along the street with me.
"Yeah, I just feel bad because I need to talk to Mark and tell him... Then I have to tell Jack and then Shane." I say in a slightly whiney tone, walking alongside Maddie.
"Yeah, you really do have a lot of guys wrapped around your finger, huh?" Maddie chcukles. I don't respond, and just take a moment to think about what she said. "It was a joke Violet, I know that's not why you have all them." Maddie says, playfully tapping my arm like she had before.
"Thanks, I just feel bad about it." I mumble back to her, more speaking to myself than her.
"You don't need to, trust me." Maddie says in a more serious tone.
"Okay, well I should go tell them. If you wanna come with, go ahead." I say, seeing my house on the other side of the street.
"I'll leave you to it, I promised Emmet that we would have a little date today. He said that it would be a good way for us to connect now that he's back in my life." Maddie explains.
"Have fun then, I'll see you around." I chuckle as I start to walk across the street.
"See you around Violet!" Maddie calls from the other side of the street. I walk up the steps to my old home and take in a deep breath before knocking on the door. The door swings open and Wade stands on the other side holding it open for me. He sighs in relief and pulls me in for an embrace.
"God, you scared me kid. Where'd you go?" Wade whispers.
"I just went to Shane's office and shopping with Maddie, and then we went to the hospital and I got the baby's gender." I whisper back happily.
"Really? Well, let's get inside and tell 'em." Wade says, releasing me and allowing me to enter. Jack sits at the counter just like he was before with Bob next to him. Mark sits on the other side of the counter and Wade jumps over to sit next to him. I slowly approach them, resting my hand on my stomach as extra support.
"Hey Violet." Jack says,his eyes trailing down to the ribbon on my wrist and a smile goes to his face.
"Hey." I respond as I grab a seat and move it to the side of the counter so I can sit alone for a change.
"You got something to say kiddo?" Wade chuckles, leaning his elbows on the counter casually.
"Yeah, I found out the gender of the baby today." I state. Mark leans on the counter and nods for me to continue. "It's a girl." I say with a bright smile, my hand just rubbing around my baby bump in a loving way. A bright smile goes on Marks face at the news and he stares at me in a type of awe. I glance at Jack who has a brighter than usual smile on and he rests his face on his hand in a relaxed way. Wade pats me on the back happily and smiles.
"That's great kid. Congratulations." Wade says happily.
"Yeah, congratulations Violet." Jack adds, still smiling at me brightly.
"You know what we need now?" Bob questions happily with a grin on his face.
"What?" Wade answers him curiously.
"A party. I mean, when was the last time you guys had one?" Bob says excitedly.
"That would be cool, but only if it was like the ones in college. Right Bob?" Mark chuckles.
"Oh yeah, I remember those." Bob chuckles back. Bob's laugh has always been a great thing to hear, he just has so much emotion in it.
"We need a party anyways. We have a lot of good going on lately." I add happily.
"Yes we do." Jack comments in a tone full of loving care mixed with sparks of excitement. We all sit at the counter in silence, probably just lost in our own thoughts until Mark speaks.
"What do you think about Marisa?" Mark questions, his eyes locking onto mine.
"What do you mean?" I ask, confused at his question.
"As a name for the baby, what do you think?" Mark questions me sweetly in a tone I haven't heard in a long while, and I've missed it.
"I like it." I answer him with a soft smile covering my face.
"Marisa it is then." Mark says happily, his eyes just showing the happiness he feels.
