Hello Again...
A/N
Hey guys, so I decided to publish this part early because I left it at a big cliffhanger. So I hope you enjoy and have a great day. Love you all!
-Lanty/ThatIsUnfortunate
I shake my head in disbelief, as if my eyes are playing trick on me. How could she be here? How could she be alive? She can't be, this isn't real; it can't be real. I'm dreaming, I'm not seeing right. I can't be seeing her again, not after who she is, not after what she's done to me. No. I won't believe it. I shake my head once more and blink as many times as I can in the next few seconds. She looks up at me from the chair that she appears to be tied to and puts on a weak smile. As if she's happy to see me, what a joke.
"Violet? Is that you sweetheart?" She asks. I shake my head and take a few steps away from her.
"You're not real... You're not here... You can't be here..." I state in a voice that trembles in my own fear and dread from confronting her once more.
"Violet, I am real. I've missed you so much." She responds with that same smile. I shake my head once more and glance behind me. No one. Perfect. I spin around on my heal and run as fast as I'm able up the first stairs I see. Once I get to the top, I see windows with sun shining through them. I don't look any further and run at the glass at full force, then jumping through it. Once I get through, I feel sharp pains in my arms and legs, causing me to slow and almost fall to my knees. I'm able to keep myself standing and do the only thing I can. Yell.
"Mark! Jack! Mark! Jack! I need you! Please help me! It's Violet! Please Mark, Jack! I need help! I need-" I'm cut off by a hand grasping hold of my mouth and almost smashing me to the ground. Tears prick my eyes, but I try to shake them away. I then open my mouth and bite down as hard as I can on the flesh covering it.
"Help!" I scream once again as the man who caught me tries to tend to his hand. I continue to yell for anyone to hear me and rescue me. I thought that he couldn't hurt me, I thought that he couldn't do anything to make me actually scared. But I was wrong. Ian somehow, has the one person who can actually scare me anymore. My mother. My thoughts are interrupted when I hear footsteps approach me and stop so I see their boots standing a few inches in front of me. I glance up and it doesn't take long to find out that it's Ian.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. See now darling, look what you've done." Ian says in a surprisingly calm voice, I see his slander neck bend down to look at me as he speaks.
"I don't need to see. I don't want to see." I mumble under my breath, more to myself than Ian.
"What was that?" He hisses, more anger filling him now. I don't respond and just examine each lace in his shoes; they are very fixating.
"Now see here dearie," Ian pauses and I feel a grip on my hair as he pulls me by my hair to my feet. He looks me strait in the eyes, his face has never looked so terrifying until now. "You're not getting away that easily, I'll make sure of that. And, you know what? I might take your deal, I am starting to like the guts you have against me. A strong woman has always been my favorite type." Ian chuckles once more, his anger simmering down inside him.
"Good. Let Maddie go." I state. "She isn't as strong as me, I know it for a fact." I say in a more stern tone this time, making sure he understands.
"Is that so?" Ian questions with his regular smirk returning to his face.
"Yes." I respond simply, knowing that I'm right anyway.
"Prove it." He says in almost a whisper against my face. I nod my head slightly and put on a smirk.
"I will." I respond as I ready my fists and punch Ian strait in the face so he let's go of me entirely. I then kick him in the stomach and he grasps at it in pain. I ready my fists once more and pound them into Ian's right arm and left leg in an attempt to make him weaker. He whimpers in pain, I think I got a pressure point. I kick him again in his left knee and he drops to the floor instantly. I lean down slightly and pull Ian's hair so his head faces me as he did to me. I then, with my other fist, smash it repetitively into his face with a hard force. I soon see blood trickle down his face and my fists, making me only hit harder. I pound his eyes and mouth so he bleeds out of both. I glance at the ground to see small white teeth lying there that were previously in his mouth. I then let go of him completely and kick him in the face before he can fall to the ground completely.
"Do you think she could've done that?" I question as I lean down and grab the keys off of him. I then walk back inside, down the stairs until I see the cells once more. I hear Maddie whimpering once more and I dash over to her cell.
"Maddie?" I call in a slight whisper, careful not to be heard by anyone else who may be here. The sobs slow and I hear her sniffle a few times.
"Violet?" She questions. I hear her get up from the floor and her footsteps come closer.
"Yeah, I'm getting you out and then we're leaving." I state as I put the key in to the lock and open the gate for her.
"Violet. How did you get those?" She questions in astonishment as she hurries out of the cage. I take the keys out and put them on my jeans' belt loop.
"It's a long story, let's just get out of here." I repeat as I quickly walk back up the stairs with Maddie following close behind. We walk out the window I broke and Ian who now lies, unconscious on the ground.
"What did you do?" Maddie questions in shcok as her eyes wander the scene in a complete distressed way.
"I broke a window and beat him." I explain, stopping in my tracks to wait for Maddie to catch up with me.
"You're hurt." She tells me in a hushed voice as I see her fingers touch my arms. I only now realize that they have small bits of glass and pebbles covering them, some burried in my skin leaving small blodd trails behind.
"It's fine." I say, trying to brush off the items in a casual way, ignoring the pain entirely.
"Violet!" I suddenly hear my name once more coming from inside. I turn my head to see her again. My mother runs towards me in a panic until she stops in front of me. I take in a deep breath before turning my entire body to face her.
"What do you want?" I snap at her once she finally stops running.
"To see you and go with you." She says giving me a smile that may look nice, but reflects none of her personality traits towards me.
"You're not going with me." I tell her sternly, tightening my fists slightly just in case I need them.
"Yes I am, I'm you're mother and I haven't seen you in years. I've missed you Violet." My mother says in a voice that even sounds fake, just like this personality she's trying right now.
"You never would have said that if I was still in the asylum. You just want me to protect you and pity you with my supplies and friends. And it isn't happening. I'm not letting you near any of it especially me because I won't let you near my child." I sat sternly with a certain amount if rage entering my voice.
"You have a child?" My mother questions with a hopenin her eyes that I can't ignore. I glance down at my stomach and back at her.
"Not yet..." I trail off, trying to avoid her eyes.
"Oh, Violet. That's wonderful!" My mother says happily with a smile covering her face even more.
"It is. For me and my friends. You're not ever going to see them and ruin their lives like you did to me." I state in a stern and cold tone that I'm sure she'll recognize; as she used it on me many times.
"But Violet, I never thought that I went that far, but if you"
"You didn't know? How didn't you know? You dragged me to a mental hisptial that you knew I didn't need to go to! You threw me out of the house and made me live on the street for weeks! You made me terrified every time I cane home, so don't you dare say that you don't know!" I shout at her as I try to hold back tears that now drip down my cheeks. I feel a hand touch my arm in a comforting way. I glance to see Maddie looking at me with eyes full of sadness for me with her hand just grazing my arm in a comforting way.
"Don't ever talk to me again, because next time I won't just yell my feelings." I spit the words as I spin around on my heal and start walking away from her. Maddie rushes after me, as I am going a fast pace, after all, I don't want to be near my mother longer than I have to.
"Where are we going?" Maddie questions when she finally catches up with me and walks next to me.
"To find them." I respond, and I know she knows who I talk about.
"Where are we anyways?" Maddie questions, her eyes staring up at the buildings we pass along the way.
"I guess we'll have to figure that out, but right now I want to get far away from here." I respond with a lump in my throat that I just now pay attanetion to. Even though it's been there for quite a while, it seems to have gotten thicker in my throat, almost choking tears out of me.
"We should find some street signs, it could help us." Maddie explains. Her words sound as if she's talking to someone who wouldn't understand. However, I am pretty hotheaded right now, so I might have needed her explanation.
"Yeah, let's look by the roads." I respond as I begin to walk down an expty road. I glance at cars on the way, checking for unlocked doors and working parts. A car is always useful these days. I glance inside one that I realize has keys in the ignition and the door slightly cracked open. I make eye contact with Maddie and gesture towards the car.
"It's open and has keys." I say, turning back to the rare find. Maddie walks towards it and grabs ahold of the door, pulling it open. Small drops of blood on the dashboard are the only mistake I see so far. Maddie jumps inside and turns the keys, making the engine rumble before it starts with all the interior lights and headlights turning on. I can feel my eyes widen and a smirk cover my face as she steps on the gas lightly and the car moves forward. I laugh in pure delight and shock at our lucky find.
"I think we'll find them a lot faster now." Maddie chuckles, making eye contact with me once more.
