I'm not huge angst person so, I'm sorry if this is bad.

Doc promised himself not to get attached to anyone, but promises like that get broken like fragile glass. He got attached to you, he never admitted it but he wouldn't mind a bit to be with you. But unfortunately, you have fallen for another.

And his is name is deimos.

Yes, to your desire of a man, deimos is just that, cocky, confident, handsome and so much more, and doc was the complete opposite of what deimos is. And with that the petals soon grew in him.

Every other night, he'd cough up flower petals, trying to hide it from his peers, at one point Sanford questioned his well being but got yelled by him about it. Sanford just looked disappointed and walked away with a hunch that something was wrong.

He was right
But..

Him or his peers never found out.

As doc watched you and deimos relationship grow more and more, he felt himself getting weaker and weaker by each passing day, minute and every second.

True agony can be stubble, and unrecognizable.

"Doc you sure your okay, you've been coughing a lot..." you said in concern, he's been pushing you away, like he's trying to hide something. "I'm fine [name], leave me be-" "No." he was interrupted by you, the stern tone caught him off guard.

"Wha.." he murmured underneath his breath, in some what disbelief. "I'm not- I'm not gonna let you keep pushing me and the others away like this, so please just say it doc." Your voice being the most fermented yet gentle thing he has ever heard.

Before fading away into petals.
