Showdown

After Madison had reassured her cousin that she would be fine, and everything will go back to normal, she went back to the apartment.

When she entered, she was about to apologize for leaving but she stopped herself, noticing something.

"Where's Peter?"

The two brothers shared a glance before Dean spoke, "Oh, he went back home. He wanted to talk to his sister about something, not sure what though. Said that he might be there a while, so we should just go on ahead without. He would catch up."

Madison felt that they were keeping something from her, but she was unsure what, she thought it best that she would ignore it for now as they have bigger problems.

"...Okay. So, is everything ready?" She asked.

Liam nodded, "Yes, I believe so. We should probably head there now, get things ready, get prepared."

Madison nodded in agreement, "Yeah sure, that's a good idea. Let's go now."

Dean collected everything they will need and headed for the door. As Madi and Dean were about to leave they noticed that Liam wasn't following.

"Hey. Liam, you coming?" Dean asked his brother.

Liam rubbed the back of his neck, "Yeah, but I... I need to do something first. Don't worry, I will be right behind you."

Dean seemed to understand what his younger brother was talking about, so he sent him a nod and walk out, Madison following.

When Liam was sure that the two had left, she walked toward the bathroom. Opening the door, he saw Peter Hale tied up and still unconscious. He walked towards the sink, filled a glass up of cold water and poured it on Peter's head, causing him to wake up with a muffled gasp.

Peter looked around confused. He tried to get out of his bindings but failed. Looking up, he saw the grinning face of Liam Hall.

Remembering what had happened, Peter's eyes turn gold as he growled from the back of his throat.

"Hello Peter. Did you have a nice sleep?"

Peter just glared.

Liam rolled his eyes and reached forward to rip off the duct tape that was over his mouth. Peter flinched as he did so, it had pulled at his skin making it red.

"I'm going to kill you and your brother. I'm going to kill him first, so you can see the life slowly fade from his eyes. You are going to stare into his eyes as lose their colour. You are going to watch him die, slowly and painfully. He's going to blame it on you, you do know that? His weak little brother who had failed him again. In his last few moments he' going to hate you. Despise you! He would probably feel relived, knowing that I'm going to kill you afterwards! And when he finally dies, I'm going to rip your fucking head off!" As Peter threatened Liam, the volume of his voice increasing with each word.

Liam was terrified inside, but outside his face remained emotionless. He would see the pure hatred boil in Peter's eyes. He almost starts to think that all of this was a bad idea, before ignoring it, of course it was a good idea.

So Liam swallowed his fear and answered in an almost calm voice, "Well that would be intimidating if you weren't tied up."

He then stood up and started to leave, but before his hand touched the handle, Peter called out, "Why are you doing this? Why hurt Madison?"

This made Liam smirk. He cared for her so much. That would be his downfall. The younger man sat on the floor in front of Peter.

"I guess we have a few hours to spare, I want to take this time to explain our evil plan." He laughs.

Peter just rolls his eyes, "Tell me now or your death will be slow."

That wiped Liam's smirk off his face. He sighed, deciding to tell him.

"Fine." He cleared his throat and shifted, "The alpha that's hunting us isn't doing it for power, he's trying to stop us. For the past 3 years Dean and I have been travelling across the country trying to find more Shadow Warriors. We had found out that if a Shadow Warrior kills another of its kind it has gain their powers and become powerful. We had found two in D.C, Dean wanted us to kill them, so we could become stronger. However, when Dean killed one of them the other killed themselves before I could kill them. Dean become determined to find another Shadow Warrior, so I could be like him.

"But somehow word got spread about what we were doing. People try and hunt us down to stop us. That's where the alpha comes in. Apparently, the two Shadow Hunter we found were his son and daughter. He had made it his goal to find us and kill us. So, we had to go underground for a while, find a quiet town and hide there. Here.
We were quiet for months but then I met Madison.

"I had told Dean about her and he started to form a plan so that I could kill her and become powerful. As we were piecing everything together, the alpha found us. We had to change the plan quickly and adjust it. But then you had to come along and complicate things.

"But now that you are tied up and out the way, I can finally kill her, and we can leave this dump."

Peter was quiet for a few moments, staring at Liam as anger was slowly bubbling under his skin.

"I might kill you slowly after all." Peter finally said, in a disturbingly calm tone.

Liam held back a shiver as he stood up, "You need to get out of that rope first." He said, heading to the door, "Good luck!" He shouted over his shoulder before leaving.

Peter then tried his hardest to get out of the binding but found it extremely difficult. After a few minutes of struggling, he stopped, panting with effort.

He could feel hot anger tears build up in his eyes at the thought of failing his mate.

He had to get out!

Peter looked around the bathroom, trying to find something sharp to cut the ropes. After a few seconds of searching, he noticed a nail sticking out of the wall.

He had to twist at an awkward angle to pull it out the wall.

Madison's POV

It had been a few hours since Madison and Dean arrived at the location of where the fight was going to happen. Peter and Liam still weren't there.

Suddenly, they heard a twig snap not that far away from them. They waited quietly, using their heighten hearing and vision to try and see who or what was there.

"Dean? Madison?" They heard.

Dean let out a sigh of relief, "Liam! We're over here!"

After a few seconds, they saw Liam emerge from the trees.

"Come on. The alpha should be here soon." Dean told his brother.

Madison looked out to the woods, hoping to see someone, "We need to wait for Peter."

Without her noticing, Dean and Liam shared a look.

Dean turned to her and said, "I'm sure he will be here soon. Don't worry."

"I hope so." She sighed. Madison was unaware that the two men she is trusting were lying to her face.

Another hour then passed. Madison spent that time looking out into the woods hoping to see Peter walking towards them. She really regretted not bring her phone with her.

As she was thinking about heading to the Hale house to try and find him, Dean's head snapped to the woods, he could hear someone approaching.

He whispered, "Someone is here."

The three stood next to each other, getting ready for what's about to happen.

When footsteps came closer, they could see two red orbs.

It was the Alpha.

He continued to walk forward until he was a short distance away from them.

Dean was the first to extend his claws. Madison and Liam soon followed him.

The Alpha looked amused by this and did the same. He then spread his arms out and said, "Shall we?"

This caused Dean to charge towards him, Liam not too far behind.

The three men threw kicks and punches and slashed their claws. But no-one was doing that much damage to each other. They were perfectly matched.

Madison decided to change it.

She ran up behind the Alpha and kicked the back of his knees with as much force as possible. This made the Alpha stumble and almost fall. But that stumble costed him.

Together, Dean and Liam ran their claws over his chest. The alpha howling in pain.

But somehow, the alpha got the upper hand. He pushed them off and grab Liam and threw him off to the side. He then punched Madison in the stomach causing her to kneel over.

The alpha then turned to Dean.

Before Dean could move out the way, the alpha grabbed him and stuck his sharp claws into Dean chest, hitting his heart.

Dean let out a pained gasp.

Then the alpha leaned in towards Dean and said harshly, "That's for my daughter, you son of a bitch." With that, he withdraws his hand and threw Dean, making his back smack a tree with a sickening crack.

Liam, who was recovering, looked up when he heard the gasp. He could feel his heart break as he saw his brother fly through the air.

"Dean!" He screamed. (A/N - I can't be the only one that read that in Sam Winchester's voice!)

His scream caught the attention of the alpha, who then started to stalk towards him, this caused Liam to crawl backwards.

The alpha stood above Liam and brought his hand up to cut his throat but before he could he was knocked down by Madison. She had jumped up off the ground and tackled him to the floor. She held him down while she repeatedly punched his face.

Madison then decided to finish it. She raised her claws, just like he did only moments ago, but unlike him, she brought her hand down. Cutting his throat.

What Madison didn't know was that she just killed an innocent man.

As he laid there, dying, Madison stood up and offered Liam her hand. Which he took.

Standing on shaky legs, Liam looked at the body of his brother and let out a small sob when he couldn't hear a heartbeat.

Madison wrapped her arms around him as he started sob, "I'm so sorry, Liam."

They just stood there, at the very edge of the cliff. Liam crying in Madison's arms. His sobs quieted down after a while when he realises that he had to finish the plan. He had to make his brother happy.

Peter's POV

Peter had been in that bathroom for hours. Hacking away at the rope with a rusty nail.

At the angle his hands were in, it was very hard to cut the ropes. But after a few hours he was finally able to break free, ripping the ropes apart when they finally became weak enough.

Quickly, he stood up and ran out the bathroom and to the front door. Before he left, he looked at the clock in the corner of his eye.

1 o'clock.

He's too late. But he couldn't let that stop him.

He ripped the door open and ran out of the apartment and headed to the cliff. He had never run so fast before in his life. His heart beating so fast, his arms and legs aching from being held by ropes.

He was scared. He can't remember the last time he was.

Peter was terrified to lose her.

After a few minutes, Peter finally got there.

He could almost hear his heart break at the sight.

Liam knew what he had to do. Apart of him didn't want to, she did just save his life only moments ago. But the other apart of him was screaming to do this. This is what his brother wanted him to do. What his brother died doing.

He slowly pulled his head off her shoulder and looked at her in the eye.

"I'm sorry." He told her in a broken voice.

Madison didn't have enough time to look confused as Liam had sunk his claws into her stomach, causing her to choke on a pained yell and grab at his shoulder.

That was the moment Peter arrived.

The sight caused him to freeze up.

He couldn't believe it.

He was too late. He couldn't save her.

"No." He whispered.

Somehow, Madison had heard this and turned her head to look at him. This will be the last time they ever look at each other.

Madison could feel Liam's claws leave her body. She couldd feel herself slowly fall back, towards the edge of the cliff.

Before she could think, she reached out and grabbed Liam's arm tightly as she fell. Bring him down with her.

Peter couldn't do anything but watch. His feet glued to the ground as he watched his mate and her killer fall off the edge of the cliff together.
