KAREEM'S POV

Five days, five days of nothing but agonizing torture, cold showers and erotic dreams. I almost regretted talking Diana into sharing a room but waking up to her adorable face buried into the pillows made it all worth it. Diana didn't even have to try and seduce me, it just happened. Anytime she wore her short dresses and skirts, when I saw her in a bikini or when her bare legs brushed against mine in bed, I was done for. As much as I was in agony from not getting any relief, those five days had been pretty great.

We had been to as many places as we could fit into our limited days and we were having a blast. We had been to Haller park, scuba diving at Mombasa Marine park, visited most of the main beaches and went to Simba Hills National reserve.

For our last day we had decided to visit Wasini Island for their beautiful and active Marine life. We were hopeful we'd see some turtles, dolphins and humpback whales amongst a few others.

"Did you pay for the scuba diving package?"Diana asked me as we walked towards the boat.

"I thought you were gonna pay."I replied and she immediately stopped in her tracks.

"Kareem this better be you messing with me right now."Diana scolded unamused by my joke.

"I'm not joking, I thought you were going to pay so I didn't."I said with a straight face.

"Like seriously of all times you decided not to pay it has to be today and you don't even bother to tell me about it."Diana expressed looking very frustrated.

She started walking away from the boat and me.

"Where are you going?"I yelled after her.

"To pay before the boat leaves, what else?"Diana retorted.

Before she could get too far, I snatched her back by wrapping my arms around her wrists waist and stopping her.

"Kareem let me go before the boat leaves without us."Diana demanded but I held on.

"I was joking, I already paid."I informed her.

Diana stopped all movement and before I could understand what was going on she stomped on my foot hard and I was forced to let her go.

"Fuck, what was that for?" I cried hoping around on one foot in pain.

"For lying to me."She replied before turning around and walking towards the boat.

I limped towards her and caught up to her before she could get too far.

"Cupcake I'm sorry, I was just messing with you."I apologized.

She didn't acknowledge me just kept walking. The pain in my leg had subsided already so I blocked her path before she side stepped me again. Diana crossed her hands against her chest looking up at me with a raised eyebrow. She looked like a kicked puppy which to me made her look more adorable but I wouldn't dare tell her that.

"I'm sorry."I apologized sincerely looking at her eyes.

"Not everything is joke worthy."Diana scolded.

"I hear you, it won't happen again."Is assured her.

"Okay, let's go."She replied with a shrug before walking away.

I followed after her silently knowing she was still a little prickly from my little joke.

"Did I tell you how pretty you look today?"I asked her.

I saw her fighting off a smile which let me know I was back into her good books.

"Yes you did so that line won't work."Diana replied pulling on a straight face.

"It's okay, I don't mind telling you again. You look gorgeous cupcake."I complimented wrapping my hand around her waist and pulling her to my side.

Diana did look beautiful in a white bralette, a short orange skirt with white polka dots and white sneakers.

When we got to the beach Diana had to take off her shoes since we had to get into the water to get to the boat. I got on the boat first before helping her on. There were other tourists on the boat plus the scuba diving instructors. After making sure everyone was on board the boats driver set sail and soon we were saying goodbye to land as we got deeper into the ocean waters.

The boat had a glass bottom in the middle so soon enough we were able to see the bountiful sea life under us. Diana would not stop smiling or pointing out at all the multi colored fish. Her smile was contagious and I found myself smiling too.

"Okay everyone we're far enough from land for you to have a good experience. Make sure your gear is secure, we don't want any accidents. If you have any questions please ask us and don't forget to have a good time."One of the instructors yelled out to everyone.

I only had to take off my shirt and I was good to go. Diana took off her skirt and top leaving her in a white bikini. Thankfully we were going in the water so that would help with the hard on rising in my shorts after seeing Diana dressed like that.

Everyone got their scuba gear on and one by one we started jumping into the water making sure not to go too far from the boat. Diana and I were the last ones off the boat.

"To living like there's no tomorrow."Diana cheered before giving me a quick kiss and jumping into the water.

I laughed at her innocence before jumping in after her. Watching Marine life swim all around us was a statement of how beautiful out world could be. I swam towards Diana who blew me a kiss before driving deeper. I followed after her my swimming goggles allowing me a very clear visual of her. Suddenly Diana stopped swimming and I got alarmed. I swam towards her and was relieved to see that she had stopped to admire a pod of dolphins swimming towards us.

Diana tapped my arm excitedly and I nodded letting her know that I could see them too. Dolphins were friendly animals so there was no need for us to swim away from them. They got close enough for us to touch them. When the dolphins moved on Diana and I continued exploring and were even lucky enough to see a turtle and a few exotic fish but no whales. It was okay though since we'd already seen them at the Marine park.

We stayed in the water until the instructors started rounding us up since our tanks would be running out of oxygen soon.

"That was awesome."Diana declared as soon as we got back into the boat.

"I couldn't agree more."I replied sneaking in a kiss.

We got out of our gear and were given complimentary towels to dry off since they were part of the package. We would be going out deeper into the water for a ride and hopes of catching more Marine life. Diana and I climbed to the top of the boat for a much better experience.

"This had been one of the best week I've ever had in my life, thank you."Diana whispered as she cuddled to my side.

"I haven't had this much fun in a long time too, I'm happy that you came with me."I replied kissing her temple.

The breeze at the top helped with the heat of the scorching coastal sun. We stayed an hour longer in the ocean, took lots of photos and learnt a few things about Marine life before heading back to land. Diana and I were tired so we went back to the hotel, took a shower then laid in bed for an afternoon nap.

I was woken up a few hours by the ringing of my phone. I picked up quickly before it woke Diana up. Getting out of bed I went out to the balcony to receive the call.

"Noel, what's up?"I asked.

"Hey man, are you okay, you sound sleepy."Noel commented.

"Just woke up from a nap."I replied stifling a yawn.

"Living the good life huh?"He teased with a laugh.

"Yeah so better get to it."I demanded not in the mood for small talk.

As much as I was loving the unplanned vacation, Noel was the reason I was having such a hard time with that shipment in the first place. He was in charge of transportation for Vihaan but he was slacking at his job.

"Okay sorry, I have some bad news."He informed me making me instantly angry.

"What now?"I gritted out.

"My driver bailed again. I know your were supposed to leave tomorrow but I need a few more days to find you a new driver."Noel requested.

"What do you mean by bailed? That truck is supposed to be released from the port tomorrow. You're incompetence is why we're in this situation in the first place."I yelled feeling very frustrated.

"Look man I understand why you are angry but I'm trying my best here."Noel defended.

"Well your best is not good enough Noel."I spat.

What the fuck was I supposed to do now? Paying another fine to the port authority was out of the question.

"I'm sorry man but I need a few more days."Noel pleaded.

"You're not getting another extension Noel and you know what I don't care if you're under contract with Vihaan, you're fired. Expect an invoice from our lawyers to pay for your incompetence. Have a good day."I shouted before hanging up.

I resisted the urge to fling my phone against the wall in anger and just tossed it on the sofa. I had a dilemma in my hands and I had no idea what to do.

Tiny arms wrapped themselves around my waist and I relaxed a little when I felt Diana pressed against my back.

"What's wrong?"Diana asked in a sleepy tone.

I must have woken her up with all my yelling. I apologized for waking her before filling her in on what was going on.

"What are you going to do?"Diana inquired.

"I have no idea."I whispered turning around slowly and burying my face into her hair. It smelled like the apple shampoo she used.

It was silent for a few minutes as we were both lost in thought about the situation we'd found ourselves in.

"I saw your license the other day and you're certified to drive an eighteen wheeler, why don't you drive the truck to Nairobi yourself."Diana suggested.

My head shot up immediately as I looked at her like she had gone crazy.

"That's close to a thirty hour drive hauling all those kilograms."I pointed out.

"So?"Diana asked with a shrug as if she was suggesting a drive to the supermarket.

"So I can't."I replied.

"Yes you can and I don't see any other options here."Diana reasoned.

When I thought about it, Diana was right. I had to drive the truck myself because I'd failed to find a driver. That whole ride would be a pain but I didn't have any other choice.

"Okay you'll still take the bus to Nairobi and I'll meet you there in a few days when I arrive."I informed Diana when I made up my mind.

"What are you talking about? I'm coming with you."Diana informed me.

"No you're not."I argued.

"Yes I am and don't fight me on it, you know you'll loose anyway."Diana declared before walking away from me.

"Where are you going? We aren't done here."I replied following her.

"To the restaurant, I'm hungry and yes we are done."She said putting on her slippers before grabbing her phone, some cash and leaving the room.

I put on a sweater, took the room key, my phone and caught up to Diana in the elevator.

"We're really not going to talk about this?"I asked Diana as we rode down to the lobby.

"Nope because there's nothing to talk about. We're driving to Nairobi together tomorrow."Diana answered.

Diana was stubborn so when she made her mind up about something that was final. If I tried convincing her otherwise I would make her angry so I just gave up and besides it would be good to have some company for the thirty hour drive.

When we got to the restaurant Diana and I ordered mishikaki and a bottle of apple cider to wind up the evening. The meal was filled with talk about the memories we'd made during our stay.

"Let's go watch the sunset."Diana suggested after we were done eating.

We carried our bottle and glasses to the hotel's private beach to watch the sunset. We laid out a towel we'd borrowed from the hotel and Diana sat in between my legs as we faced the ocean.

"I'm gonna miss this."Diana sighed her eyes trained on the setting sun.

"Me too."I concurred leaning on my arms and lying back.

It felt good to have Diana in my arms at that moment, like everything was right with the world. A question I had been putting off invaded my mind and I realized there's no way we were going to leave the coast before I asked her. The setting was also perfect because of the sunset.

"Cupcake, turn around I want to ask you something."I requested Diana sitting up.

Diana turned around and crossed her legs over mine so that there wasn't any space between us.

"What's up?"She replied looking at me.

I took some time to admire how beautiful she looked bathed in the setting rays of the sun before I replied her question. She looked so beautiful in all her natural beauty, her hair pulled back to a neat bun, her lips cherry red and brown eyes glowing back at me.

"Will you be my girlfriend?"I asked directly without beating around the bush.

I'd always been straight forward with Diana and I wasn't going to start cutting corners when it mattered most. My words shocked Diana because she looked at me surprised her eyes wide in shock.

"What?"She chocked out.

It was so cute to see her flustered but I needed an answer before I started second guessing myself.

"I like you and you like me too so I would like to make our relationship official. Will you be mine and be my girlfriend?"I repeated myself.

Diana went silent for a moment her yes glazing over as if she was looking right through me instead of at me.

"Cupcake?"I called out tipping her chin so her eyes could meet mine.

"Yes, I'll be your girlfriend."She whispered finally taking me out of my misery.

I smiled victoriously before leaning in and capturing her lips in a smile. Finally Diana was mine and I could declare that to the whole world without fear.

"I like you."I whispered my lips brushing against hers.

"I like you too."Diana replied a smile lighting up her whole face.

When she had told me that her parents wanted to meet me I had been scared, how could I meet her parents when our relationship was so undefined. Diana was my girlfriend now so I didn't have to worry about that anymore. I could meet her parents and not feel guilty about anything.

I wrote this chapter three days ago but I haven't been in the right head space to edit it. I also feel like it's not really that good but I've tried my best. I'll definitely improve on the next chapter, enjoy for now and forgive any mistakes.

I'm also a little behind schedule with this book but it's nothing I can't make up for.
