"Nooooooooooo!!!" I scream out as I try to pull myself out the vampire's hold. "Please! Let him go!!!" I cry out as I watch the vampire lift up his head. He wipes the blood that runs down his chin with the back of his hand. A sadistic laughs escapes his mouth as he releases Tim, his head thumping loudly against the floor as he meets the ground.

"Oh no no no no......Timmy... please.... timmy, please answer me...." I whimper. Sobs begin shake me to the core as fear starts to sink in. I fear that I may have lost my friend forever.

"Let's go my dear. Your coming with us. Jasper, go get the car." As if she understood what he said, Mia snaps her jaw at the vampire called Jasper. Unaffected by her, he kicks her in the torso causing her to slams hard against the wall. She whimpers as her body falls to the floor.

"Mia!!!!" I cry out. "Why are you doing this?" The vampire starts to pull me out towards the door. I fight hard to get out of his grip but fail. I begin to scream hoping that my nieghbors would hear my cry for help. He then clamps his cold pale hand over my mouth silencing my cries. Then that's when I hear his voice. The voice I've come to love so much.

"Where do you think you're taking her, bloodsucker? Release her now!" Jacob's commanding presence fills the living room. He steps forward with Derrick and another man I've never met before.

"I'm sorry is this little human your pet. Well, Im sorry to say that she is coming with me. I have orders to deliver her to my queen and that's what I will do."

"You will show respect to my mate, bloodsucker. I could care less what your orders are or what your queen wants. Now hand her over while you still have your life." Jacob roars as he steps forward slightly.

"You want her......Come and get her!" The vampire snarls as he shoves me behind him, scratching my left arm in the process. My body bounces off the wall behind me and hit the floor.

I look up to see that Jacob has the vampire held up against the wall. A sickening crack rings through the room as Derrick reaches up and twists his neck. As if that wasn't enough, he rips his head successfully detaching it from his body.

I cringe and tightly shut my eyes at the sight. I feel the bile rising up the back of my throat.

Jacob turns to look at me, checking my body for any wounds. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asks when he sees me flinch from his touch.

I remain silent and unmoving as he continues to search my body for any other wounds besides the one on my arm. "Your hurt, love. Can you hear me, Samantha?" He asks and I nod. "Let's get you some medical attention."

"I'm fine, Jacob." I stare as I pull away from Jacob's hold. "We need to get Tim to a hospital. Please!! Help him." It barely comes out as I stare at Tim's bloodied body that remains unmoving.

My body sways when I try to walk forward. I suddenly feel dizzy and nauseated. "It's happening quicker than I thought. Let's get her to the pack doctor. Derrick, call Lyla and tell her that she and their healer must meet us at the mansion now. Eric check that he's alive. If he is, carry him out as well. They need attention immediately."

"I'm fiii......ne...." I try to say but my words come out chopped up.

"My love you are not fine. These vampire have a deadly venom embedded in their claws. But I will take care of you." He says as he carries me out the apartment. "Miii...."
I try to say but Jacob stops me.

"Don't worry, we've got her. Don't close your eyes. Talk to me. I need you to keep talking.."

"I...i...llll....bdjcssss." I try to say but it comes out like gibberish. I stare at him confused and afraid as I feel my eyes closing on their own. I fight to keep my eyes open but eventually my eyes win and darkness envolpes me.

--- Jacob's POV-----

Samantha went limp in my arms and hasn't spoken a word for about 15 minutes now. I sped the whole way over here. I surprised that I didn't get pulled over. I run down to the trauma wing, carrying Samantha in my arms. Derrick is running alongside me bringing Tim in, as well.

To tell you the truth I don't know if he'll come back from this. It's hard to tell. The fighters are the ones that survive vampire bites but the ones that don't fight well they don't make it.

I lay Sam's unconscious body on the nearest bed and yell for the doctor to hurry the hell up. "I sincerely apologize for my tardiness alpha...." Before he can say more I interrupt him.

"ENOUGH of your excuses! We don't have time. This is my mate and your future luna. She has been infected with vampire venom. Save her life..." My voice begins to crack with emotion. I can't lose her when I just found her.

"I'll do what I can, Alpha. We will take care of your mate to the best of our abilities." He says quickly as he begins to draw blood and take her temperature.

"I'm here. What happened?" Lyla says as she rushes into the room. A young woman runs in alongside her. She is wearing a long dress with bracelets filling up her arms. Her hair pulled up in a braid that runs down her back.

"Vampires broke in her apartment and tried to kidnap her. They beat up her friend pretty badly, he's in critical condition but she was wounded here on her arm. She's been infected and it's quickly spreading throughout her body. Can you do something? Our pack doctor is mostly in an expert in werewolf anatomy. "

"This is our healer, Nadine. Please stand back so she can use her healing magic on her." Lyla says as she ushers her forward. She explains the process as she begins to pull out some herbs and inscense. She lights it starts to speak words in language I don't understand.

After several minutes, a burst light emanates from Nadine's hands and goes into Samantha's body. The small orb seems to be searching for the poison. I watch in awe as we watch the orb travel through her body.
Then it disappears and a black vapor seeps out of Sam's skin.

"It is done. She must rest now but she should awaken in a few hours or less."
Nadine, the fae healer says as she looks at me sympathetically.

"Thank you. Could you please check on her friend? Although, I am not sure if he can survive the injuries he received since he is only human. They are quite severe." I ask her as she nods and heads over to check on Tim.

As they leave, I look at her sleeping form and I can't help but admire the beautiful woman laying before me.
The moon goddess truly blessed me when she gave me this amazing woman.

"Baby, I know your asleep but I'm hoping you can hear me. I'm so sorry of all that you've had to go through so much in your life. But even though this world tried to beat you down, you overcame. I see an amazing strength in you. I can not ask for more in a mate. I love you, all of you.

I need you, without you I know I'd be a wreck. You make me stronger, you make me better, and you make me feel alive. My love, you are everything to me. I want to marry you and grow old together. I don't care about your past, all I care about is OUR future, together. I love you and I'll be here right next you when you wake up." I lean down and kiss her lips softly.

As I lift my head back up I hear a crash outside of the room. I rush out to find a very pissed off Scarlett.
I raise my voice and command her to control herself. When she looks calm enough, I ask her what happened and all she says is one word. "Mate."

I turn to see who she is speaking of and I see she is staring right at Tim's unconscious form lying on the bed.
