The next day, Maddy, Jack, and Josie are sitting in a pastry shop trying different cakes. There are 10 different cakes with different icings.

They each choose their favorite cake and icing based on their flavor preferences.

Jack likes the vanilla cake with raspberry icing, Maddy likes the chocolate cake with blueberry icing, and Josie likes the strawberry cake with blackberry icing. The pastry chef comes up to them and smiles.

Rachel: So, have you decided on a cake and icing?

Maddy: We like three different cakes with different icings.

Jack: Is there any way we can get the vanilla cake with raspberry icing, the chocolate cake with blueberry icing, and the strawberry cake with the blackberry icing?

Rachel: Of course. How many people will be attending?

Maddy: Including the three of us, there will be 18 people. We want to keep the wedding small to save money.

Rachel: That makes sense. And when does the cake need to be ready?

Jack: In April. We want to have our wedding when it is not too hot and not too cold.

Rachel: That is a wonderful idea. We will have the cake ready by then and you can come to pick it up or we deliver it to your venue.

Maddy: We will come and pick it up when it is ready.

The three of them pay for the cake, and then make their way to the flower shop. They choose several bouquets of red, white, blue, and green. At the decorations shop, they get balloons, streamers, plates, and utensils to go with the color scheme. They book a quintet of violinists, a venue, and they get a confirmation on Jack's father being the officiant of their wedding.

They also order the wedding bands that they need for the wedding and head home for dinner. They had forgotten about lunch, because of the excitement of wedding planning.

After dinner, they change into their nightclothes and get in bed, snuggle under the covers, and fall asleep.
