Fanfics with too much detail are always the popular ones...but are also the most boring. I don't want to know what color the sun is or how fast the wind is going (unless it was like leading up to a tornado scene or something). It's always the smaller books that don't sorry about detail and just give the readers what we want. We want story line, we want dialogue, we want something that'll make us sit on the edge of our seat. I can't tell you how many times I've either dozed off or just deleted a book from my library because the book was so boring. And these were all from the well known authors. Not to be rude, but it's literally like watching paint dry. Chapters 1-5 are fucking detailed chapters that don't tell us shit about what the hell is going on and then chapter 6 is some dialogue THAT THEY STILL MANAGE TO MAKE BORING!!!!! No one talks that proper unless they're like a speaker or something. Add some slang in there, dang.

I guess to sum up this confession, too much detail is very very bad and it's most definitely only coming from the popular authors (minus Kelsey because she knows how to make books interesting but 🐸☕). Sorry bout it.
