Warning; mean language :(
Although I couldn't feel it, I knew my heart was beating erratically within my chest. I couldn't move. I could only stare with anxiety at the approaching man.
He looked so ordinary, but his crazed smile and dark eyes told me that there was something disturbingly wrong with him.
"Look at your family Tomomi, aren't they just the sadest lot?" He pouted, spinning energetically.
"Your father, an Uchiha sympathiser, targeted by his own people! He couldn't help but pursue his own fantasies; having you married into the Uchiha."
His voice only became louder as he ranted.
"Your mother, a woman too quiet, who would just stand by and let her family be ripped apart as she sits in her house all day!"
"Your sister, who couldn't even kill one person but instead pathetically used herself as a meat shield to save your pitiful life."
"And then there's you. Clinging to the idea that now that you and Madara are together life will be magically wonderful. They all your problems will not exist. Your wrong. You have enemies now and they want you both dead. I'll happily grant there wishes."
"You're wrong," I muttered, barely clenching my teeth. "Everything you just said is a lie, you don't know a damn thing about my family and I."
"Is that so?" He taunted, his boots hitting the earth with each step he began to take towards me. I stared at him with venom as he stopped in front of me, and crouched to my level.
I struggled with no avail as he roughly gripped my chin and held my eye contact.
"Such a waste of a pretty face," he sighed, turning my head to the side.
"Get your filthy hands off her," Madara growled from beside him, shaking as he tried lifting his weight from the ground.
"Tsk." With one movement he slapped Madara's face into the ground once more. "I'll be glad when you're dead," he spat.
"I'll kill you," I said and felt his grip tighten on my face, and he looked back to me again. He smiled lightly, tilting his head.
"But you can't." With each word, he flicked my cheek hard with one finger.
"Stop it," Madara said from behind us again. I couldn't see him which made me panic.
Again he sighed, and pulled a kunai from within his pocket. My breath caught in my throat.
"Madara," he spoke with boredom, "unless you let me do this, I'll slice her throat open right now." Then he pushed me with force and I landed on my back, the impact made me gasp.
"Don't," I gritted out just as he sat heavily onto my stomach, each of his feet on the sides of my head. I knew soon it would be difficult to breathe.
"Do you know the joy of destroying a persons mind Tomomi?" He asked, smiling lightly and grabbed my forehead, then pushed my fringe back. His finger drew a line down my cheek, then he flicked it.
"You don't have to hurt them majorly, but the results are wonderful." I stared into his dark gaze with absolute hate, if only I could move my limbs. I flinched when he flicked my nose this time.
"You're nothing but an Uchiha whore Tomomi, you're never going to have the life you dream of, and you're going to die in agony like the rest of your dear ones." Nobody said anything else as he sat for a while, just flicking different areas of my face. Each flick followed with a small chuckle at my poor expressions.
I closed my eyes, feeling sadness consume me suddenly in a rush. This was madness. Then I opened them and realised from my angle, I could see Madara clearly.
He rested on his hands and knees, shaking noticeably still, with an expression of pure anger. His Sharingan flickered as if he was trying to activate it but it wouldn't stay longer than a second. I grit my teeth and whimpered, his eyes then met mine and a tear fell from my eye.
"Don't listen to him," he choked out, holding my attention. I let my mind relax as best I could as I stared at him, but then felt my head being turned slightly so I couldn't anymore.
"Eyes on me, Tomomi," he smiled devilishly, kunai pressed against my throat.
"Leave us alone," I pleaded, trying to keep my voice from wavering. I could hear almost silent sobs all around me, I almost forgot that the majority of the village was also laying with no strength around the area. That frightened me even more.
"You're already all alone Tomomi, who is going to save you otherwise?" The mad spark in his eyes made my own widen. He was absolutely insane.
"Kill me now and spare her," Madara's deep voice ordered weakly. I froze, seeing a wide grin pull onto my attackers lips.
"No," I whined, trying to lift my arms but nothing happened. He stood up with no problems, then grabbed my hair unforgivingly. I cursed as he dragged me with him, till he dumped me so I was looking up at Madara whose face hovered above me.
"Madara," I whispered holding his calm gaze.
"It's ok Tomomi, relax," he answered, that's when I watched his eyes change to Sharingan, and they stayed like that. My heart leapt with hope. Then he deactivated them normally.
"Now then," the attacker announced, he reached out and gripped Madara by the throat. "I will enjoy this."
"So will I," Madara answered heatedly. A gasp tore from the attacker throat as he let go of Madara and jumped backwards. Then he fell to his knees and just stared ahead blankly.
"What'd you do?" I questioned, confused.
"Genjutsu, he thinks I've grown into a giant man and is crushing him." I would have laughed if I wasn't so upset at the whole ordeal.
"What do we do now?" I rushed out.
"Shhh, look," he moved his eyes to the side and I followed his gaze. Warmth filled my heart as I saw my mother and Hansuke running towards us, behind him them was Hashirama and Tobirama.
"They weren't poisoned?" I questioned in awe.
"They don't like punch," Madara answered with amusement.
"Thank God," I sighed shutting my eyes tightly. My body was beginning to tingle weirdly, like my circulation was coming back. "Madara do you feel it?"
"Yes," he answered immediately. If the poison was wearing off this early, how close was he to killing us? The thoughts made me anxious.
As Hashirama made his way to us, he did a few hand signs and then wooden branches leapt from the ground and wrapped around the attackers limbs, restricting them like bonds. I finally felt some peace.
"I'm sorry we waited so long," he then told us as they all finally reached us.
"My baby," mother cried out and lifted me up into her lap. I closed my eyes and relaxed into her embrace.
"I'm so thankful I left for a quick patrol and wasn't poisoned," Hansuke announced slightly out of breath as he kneeled to my level.
"We will deal with this despicable rodent," Tobirama seethed, standing in front of the still shocked and restrained man.
"My strength is coming back," Madara announced just before I noticed him lifting his head.
"Good, we'll need you in a minute." Hashirama commented.
I felt my own bodies control starting to come back, I could feel it in my fingers at first.
"So is mine," I sighed in relief.
I didn't drink much of the punch.
"That's great dear," mother answered, she was holding me in her arms like she was never going to let go again.
A loud groan left Madara as he suddenly pushed himself up and sat on his knees. He breathed heavily, shaking his arms out as if they had water on them.
"I never want to be paralysed ever again," he commented, then slowly on one knee began to climb to his feet. Hansuke ran over to him and lifted him under the arm to stop him from collapsing once again.
Madara nodded his head in thanks and stood for a moment, gathering his strength. Then he lifted his arm from Hansuke and walked towards the attacker like nothing had even happened.
Super ninja, I thought to myself in amusement.
"Right," Madara let out a breath, pulled his hair back from his face, and shook his hand in the air to make sure it was completely awake.
Tobirama placed his hand on the attacker shoulder. "Release," he spoke and a small force of wind hit us.
Just as the man gasped, and shook his head suddenly emerging from his genjutsu, Madara punched him straight across the jaw.
A groan filled the air as his lopsided head was slowly pulled straight again by Madara gripping his hair.
"Genjutsu aye, I knew you weren't capable of turning into a giant turd," the man lazily spoke, blood lining his grinning teeth.
"Don't fuck with me," Madara growled lowly sending shivers through to my toes. The man was silent for a while, keeping his eyes closed as best he could.
"I'm going to give you one chance to tell me who you work for," Madara spoke with authority, pulling the mans head back to an awkward angle. He grit his teeth.
"You've already met him," he answered with his voice strained, "not that it matters anyway."
"That could be anyone you stupid shit," Tobirama replied crossing his arms at Madara's side.
"No," Hashirama cut in, holding his chin as he look out onto all of the crowd that had began to struggle to sit as the poison was wearing off.
"Who then?" I asked, rubbing my hands along my arms as my strength was returning rapidly. It felt wonderful.
"Our Uzumaki friend." That is all Hashirama said and it sent a chill down my spine. My mouth felt dry.
"It couldn't be..." I answered shakily.
"Jiro." Madara finished, clenching his fists.
"How?" Hansuke asked with disbelief. "He seems like a complete idiot."
"Perfect disguise," Tobirama commented. I groaned in annoyance again.
"Dammit."
"We've captured him, that works to our advantage." Madara added, at his words the attacker started to laugh. Madara frowned, bringing his face closer to the man. "What so funny?" He threatened.
He finally opened his eyes, "you're going to die." That's all he was able to say before he passed out and Madara let go of him.
"I think we have a problem." Hansuke said in worry, he was looking behind us all.
I gasped, Souta was running towards us. He gripped his side where red stained his hand and clothes vividly.
"He's gone!" He shouted in panic and pain.
"How?" Madara asked, rushing past us and catching Souta over his shoulder just as he fell. He sat the man on the ground gently and helped him remove his shirt quickly.
"He killed the other guards, I don't know how he managed honestly, I almost died myself." Souta spoke with extreme worry.
Madara inspected his wound and immediately called Hashirama over. "His wound is deep," he commented.
"He's not who we thought he was Madara, he's been playing us all." Souta closed his eyes in pain as Hashirama placed his palm against his wound.
I stared in awe as a green light began to cover his palm.
"What is that?" I asked curiously, using my mothers shoulder to get to my feet. I stumbled slightly but caught my footing and walked to them.
"It's a healing jutsu." Hashirama answered with a small smile.
"It's beautiful," I replied.
"Soon many will know how to use it."
"We don't have much time," Souta interrupted, the pain starting to disappear.
"Where did he head to?" Madara asked anxiously.
"I was able to keep track of him for a while and followed him...he went in this direction, I'd say he's waiting for his opportunity to strike."
"Be ready," Hashirama then said to us all and we pulled Souta to his feet.
A large explosion then knocked me down as the earth beside us blew up like a meteor had hit it.
"Move!" Madara yelled with anger and I did with no hesitation.
We skidded to a stop when we reached the rest of our group and gazed upon a smirking Jiro who walked from within a cloud of dust.
His gaze locked with mine as he stopped walking, it was like he had a completely new personality. Before he was sneaky and unrestrained in his emotions.
But now, he stood as if he had already won. As if he knew my deepest secrets. He looked intimidating, as he stood unreadable.
And as he spoke to me, his voice was like velvet, and I did not feel safe.
"It's time to burn, lovely Tomomi."
