As I stood alone on the veranda of my home, eyes to the afternoon sky, I contemplated the last couple of weeks.
Konoha was created finally, my dream reached.
Mother and Madara helped me improve my abilities, even going to the lengths to teach me new jutsu's. I was grateful for their help.
Everything was falling into place.
A chuckled to myself as I wiped a tear from my eye. My eyes fell to white dress I wore, with red flowers creeping around the sleeves and sides.
I felt like I was glowing.
Because today Madara and I would marry, finally.
My hair nestled with a headdress of flowers, my face painted with red and white, I felt weightless.
"Are you ready?" Came my mothers sweet voice from behind me. I smiled lightly, turning slowly to her.
"Yes," I bowed my head, blushing as I averted my gaze.
"You look beautiful," her voice broke as she came forward and gripped my arms gently.
I raised my head to her, giggling.
"Thank you Mother," I couldn't contain how giddy I felt.
"Everyone is ready, lets go," she linked her arm with my own and lead me back through the house.
My father, Hansuke, Yui and a small group of our Uzumaki relatives waited outside my house. When I reached them, they all expressed their own reaction of excitement.
"Miss Tomomi, you look like a goddess," Hansuke quietly spoke as I walked close to him. Father had instructed that Hansuke would be staying close to me today, he was worried something would happen.
"Thank you," I blushed, standing next to him.
"Let us go," my Father announced to us all, regarding me with a small smile. I stood behind him and mother in our small formation, then behind me followed Hansuke and Yui, then the rest of our family.
The ceremony only required my family, then during the after party celebrations more people could be invited.
Each step closer to the shrine, my breathing became quicker and my skin tingled.
Then before me, I could see Madara and his family behind him. Madara stood with his back to me, facing his family. When they got his attention to to turn around, I stopped breathing.
He smirked unapologetically.
He held his gaze to mine until I was standing next to him. Then we walked step by step together towards the wedding ceremony.
"I will not forget this day," Madara said to me before the ceremony officially started. I was sure my smile was going to tear my cheeks open.
Throughout the entire ceremony, I surfed through all the memories I could think of from our children till this moment.
From the first time Madara made me cry of laughter, to the first time he made me cry of sadness. He had seen me at my worst states, to my happiest.
I vowed to always care for him, no matter how difficult. I would try my absolute best to protect his welfare.
I couldn't help embrace the peace I felt inside me.
We were married.
We sat side by side in front of at least one hundred guests, a glow around us.
Food covered the tables, as well as cups of sake and punch which was a delicacy. Tonight we would celebrate, and start a new era of life.
"This union is one of a kind," my father had said to me shortly after the wedding, a peaceful aura surrounding him.
Whatever father's agenda, I was glad to see him finding some comfort in all of this.
I smiled to myself as I peered out to my family. How far we had come until this day.
I only wish Tomoko was here to enjoy it with me.
"You know what we should do, Tomomi," Madara turned to me, a smirk on his lips as he held his glass in front of them. I stared up at him with question.
"You have an idea?" I asked, he nodded, putting down his glass.
"We should get a dog," he replied, crossing his arms and slouching in comfort. I felt my eyebrow raise as I pursed my lips, staring at the table in front of us.
"You want a dog?" I repeated, lifting my eyes to his gleaming ones.
"I love dogs," Madara reinforced, sighing. From the silence that followed I began laughing quietly.
"What's so funny?" Madara asked, leaning towards me with a scowl. I shook my head and waved my hand at him, trying to settle me laughing. It took a while.
"Is that what you've been thinking about all this time?" I teased, coming face to face with him, a smirk reaching my cheeks. He blew air out of his nose amusingly, then held my eyes with his dangerously. I felt my heart skip.
"No, this is what I've been thinking of," he whispered, then his Sharingan replaced his black orbs.
I knew it was genjutsu as soon as I blinked and blushed intensely at what he showed me. My eyes widened and I punched him in the arm, earning a cheeky grin and chuckle from Madara.
"You're so unbelievable," I muttered, glaring at him weakly.
"Is that better than a dog?" He laughed, poking my side. I scowled, but couldn't help smile lightly afterwards.
"You wish," I retorted, holding back my laughter when he pouted uncontrollably. He was starting to remind me of Madara when he was a child.
Expressive Madara.
"Looks like the entertainment has finally arrived," Madara muttered, lifting his hand to point in the distance.
I followed his gaze, seeing a tall man dressed smartly walking through the middle isle of guests. He held his head high and quite obviously held our attention.
"Fancy," I giggled, eyeing Madara who stared with a hard glare. "What's wrong?" I questioned, my smile dropping.
He tensed his muscles, resting his elbows on the table in front of us squarely.
"Where is his instrument?" Madara murmured.
I froze, slowly turning my head to the man again. My skin felt numb, something about the situation sent anxiety throughout my whole body.
"Maybe he forgot it?" I weakly answered, frowning unconvinced by my own explanation.
"Guests, dearly beloved newly weds!" Suddenly the man spun once he reached the front of the crowd and addressed us all. Without thought I gripped Madara's thigh tightly.
He slowly tilted his back and gazed at us, a smirk on his lips.
"Special mentions to Lord and Lady Uchiha," he continued, his eyes darkening. I cringed.
Making me jump in shock, he jumped around and faced us completely. Then he had a skip in his step as he approached us. I was sure my nails would be hurting Madara by now. His jaw clenched.
"Oh how lovely," the strange man licked his lips, "are you ready to die?"
My breathing stopped, eyes wide.
"What did you just say?" Madara growled darkly, Sharingan blazing.
"And, drop," the man lifted his palm out in front of him, then let it fall to his side. I only just caught this action before my head and body collapsed forward and my chin smacked against the table. I felt nothing.
My lips quivered as I tried to move them.
"What have you done to us?" Madara slurred, obviously struggling to talk.
The man smiled widely, and only then I notice the crowd before us collapsing.
What is this? I thought in terror.
When he met my gaze again he chuckled, biting his lip as he smirked.
"Want some punch?" He questioned, then started laughing hysterically.
