Madara

"Stay here, I'll be right back I promise". I said softly as I hid Hashirama inside a small cave so he'd be protected. The sun was out so I couldn't have him walking beside me anymore. I needed to find something I could put him in that would shield him from the sun and be easy to carry him around in.

He gave me a closed eye smile in response. I smiled back and kissed his forehead before heading off to find him shelter. I searched and searched until I finally came across a basket. Only problem was it belonged to a farmer, I didn't have a choice though.

I made my way over to him and gently tapped his shoulder. "Excuse me sir but would it be alright if I borrowed that basket over there as well as some straw and bamboo. I'll pay you anything you want for it".

"That won't be necessary, I don't have a need for it anymore. The same goes for the straw and bamboo". "Thank you, I appreciate it". I gave him a forward bow then gathered everything and headed back to Hashirama.

I smiled softly as I saw him slowly drifting off to sleep. "Love". I said softly. He opened his eyes and hummed softly. He still had the gourd in his mouth. "It's time for us to get going". I said as I tied the straw and bamboo to the basket making sure to cover all of the holes that were exposed. He nodded his head and made his way over to me.

I was surprised when I saw him shrink his body size before climbing in. I  closed it then placed him on my back and started my journey towards the mountains once again. He wasn't heavy at all not surprising though. He always made me carry him on my back when he would get tired of walking or wanted me to spoil him.

I walked nonstop all day. A nice woman I had met was kind enough to give me directions to where I was going. She had insisted on me staying the night with her and her son but I politely declined her offer and continued my way up the mountain path I was currently on.

When nighttime came I let Hashirama out and we walked together as he held onto my arm. We eventually came across a temple and started to make our way towards it but I was soon hit with the fresh smell of blood.

I grabbed Hashirama by the hand and ran towards the temple with him but when I slid the door open I was greeted by a demon feeding on two people he had just killed. The sight was terrifying and I could only imagine what was going through Hashirama's mind right now.

He had to witness both our families get killed in front of him and now he has to see this. "The hell are you doing here? This is my territory. Anybody who sets foot on my terf is going to gave to pay". The demon said in a rough scratchy voice. Blood covered his hands and mouth as he turned to face us.

"Somethings not quite right. Are the two of you human as well"? He asked as he licked his blood-covered fingers. He stood up and looked us over before lunging at us. He attacked me first and I quickly used the hatchet I still had to cut his throat.

That didn't kill him however, he was standing on his feet right after. "A hatchet huh, not bad kid but it should heal in no time". The next thing I knew I was on the ground with his hand around my throat.

"You got lucky but it won't happen again and now I'm going to snap your neck". He said grinning wildly. The next thing I knew Hashirama was running over to us and kicked the man's head clean off his neck.

I threw the headless body off of me but when it started to move Hashi kicked it into a tree. "You bastards! So the boys a demon after all huh? I couldn't tell with that weird vibe he gave off but what are you doing teaming up with a human"!?

I wasn't at all surprised he was still able to talk. He was a demon, after all, I knew it would take more than that to kill them. I watched as his body took off and went after Hashi. He jumped in the air and brought his leg down fast but Hashi was able to jump out of the way dodging it.

Hashirama wasn't much of a fighter though. The demon's headless body kicked him repeatedly then grabbed him by the head and threw him into the woods. I grabbed my hatchet and started to run after him but the head part of his body stopped me from doing so.

He used his hands to run towards me then jump up. I quickly grabbed my hatchet and put it in his mouth to try and prevent him from biting me. He fought back against me for a bit until I eventually head-butted him. I then wrapped his hair around the hatchet while also throwing and aiming it at a nearby tree.

He was still attached to it as it landed in the tree pinning him to it. "No to get to Hashirama". I took off into the woods and went after him. I searched all over until I saw them next to a cliff. Hashi was laying on the ground as the headless body attacked him.

Without a second thought, I charged towards him to make him get off of him, that resulted in the two of us falling off the side of the cliff. I never hit the ground though, hashi grabbed me by the back of my shirt before that could happen and pulled me back up.

"Thank you". I said smiling while gently cupping his cheek . He hugged me in response and I hugged him back. "Did he hurt you bad"? He shook his head. We stayed like that for a while before deciding to make our way back to where the head was.

"I wonder how many of them are out here"? I said as I took out a knife I had on me getting ready to kill him. I was stopped by someone placing their hand on my shoulder. "That won't work on him". He was wearing a red mask with a long nose.

"How do I kill him then"? "Think for yourself or aren't you capable of solving your own problems"? I l looked up at the sky and saw that the sun was starting to rise. I made my way over to Hashi and opened the basket for him as the demon's head burned to death in the morning sun.

As long as he's ok, that's all I care about

I placed his basket on my back and made my way over to the old man who was now holding a burial for the people who were killed. "My name is Sakonji Urokodaki. You're the one Indra sent my way correct"? "I'am, my names Madara Uchiha and my boyfriend's name is Hashirama Senju. 

"Answer me this Madara. What do you intend to do if Hashirama eats a human"? "That will never happen". "How can you be so sure? You don't know what a demon's hunger is like". "That may be true but I know Hashirama.

If I tell him no he'll listen to me. He's kindhearted". "No, the correct answer is to kill Hashirama when that happens then cut open your stomach and die along with him. That's what traveling alongside a demon means but you must never allow that to happen no matter the cost.

Your lover taking the life of an innocent person is the one thing that can't happen. Have I made myself perfectly clear"? "Yes sir". "Very well then. I'll test rather or not your capable of becoming a member of the demon slayer core, now follow along". He took off running and I ran behind him.

We ran and ran. For hours all I saw was farms and grasslands. When we finally came to a stop the sun was starting to set. He took me to a house that was on a different Mountain then the one we were previously on.

My arms and legs were burning as I panted hard. I wasn't use to any of this in the slightest but I didn't care. I wasn't following him to help myself but to help Hashirama. "Bring him inside". He said as he slid the door open.

I did as told and laid Hashi down gently on the bed after taking him out of his basket. "I'll take care of him for you while your away". "Where am I going"? "Youll be climbing a mountain". "I appreciate it". I said before leaning down, taking out his gourd and giving him a gentle kiss on the lips.

"I'll see you soon".

I stood up and left with him. I could feel my legs starting to get weak the more we walked. It was completely dark out now. The more I walked the harder I found it was to breath. Not to mention how exhausted I was from the nonstop running we did.

We eventually came to a stop. I looked around but could barely see anything because of the fog. "Now find your way back to my house at the foot of the mountain. This time I won't wait until daybreak". A cloud of smoke a appeared and he vanished.

So that's the test huh? I get it, he thinks I'll get lost because of the fog.

I started walking but stopped soon after, something didn't feel right to me. I crunched down to the forest floor and slowly moved my hand along with it, that's when I realized the mountain was covered in traps. This combined with the thin air on the mountain was going to be quite the challenge to get through.

I placed my hand over my heart and tried to gather as much of my breath as I possible could then closed my eyes and focused on Hashirama's scent before taking off.,

Control your breathing Madara, panicking won't do you any good. You need to keep a calm mind in order to pass this. Hashirama is counting on you

I sensed a log coming at me and jumped to the right. Another one followed and I jumped to the left. I continued running and ducked down as I sensed another one flying towards me. I wasn't relying on my eyes for this at all.

These traps were set by a human so it was easy to locate where they were. It took a while but I was finally able to find my way back to the house. I slid open the door and made my way to Hashi's side and laid next to him.

"I made it back". I said barely over a whisper. I was completely exhausted and could barely move. "Your now my new student Madara Uchiha". I smiled before passing out beside hashi.
