Snowflakes hit the cold window while Jeongin sat in front of his fireplace wrapped in a thick fluffy blanket and spacing out, shivering from time to time and getting ripped out of his trance. The once big flames got smaller and eventually went out, only leaving an orangey glow behind that was not enough to heat up the living room he was currently spending this snowy afternoon in.

He sighed and sunk deeper into his blanket, half of his face now hidden in the fluff and tickling his nose, making him rub his hand over his face, eventually reaching his eyes where now tiny tears had formed, threatening to leave his waterline and run over his face. Jeongin quickly wiped away the liquid in his eyes, then he sniffed  and slowly moved onto his feet to lay down on the sofa, being unable to find the power to put on the fireplace again.

Once he had settled on the soft cushions, he heard footsteps coming from the hallway, followed by tiny paws galloping over the floor, bringing a small smile to Jeongin's tired face. A second later his mom and Berry came around the corner, the woman giving him a crooked smile before setting the two cups of steaming hot tea onto the living room table.

"Thank you," the brunette mumbled and reciprocated the small smile, it getting a tiny bit bigger when Berry jumped her front feet onto the sofa, wagging her tail and panting at him. Jeongin pat his thighs to tell the small dog to get onto the sofa, her gleefully jumping onto the couch and curling up on his legs.

"Feeling better?" his mother sat down next to him and caressed his leg, making Jeongin sigh for the nth time that day. "Not really," the boy mumbled, looking down at the cup he had grabbed before taking a small sip of his peach tea. "Everything will be okay, yeah?" she sympathetically looked at her son, giving him another smile. "I hope so," Jeongin said, petting Berry.

A nod followed, biting his lip. "I'm...," he began but faltered. "I'm just so scared, mom," Jeongin looked up at her, tears once again sparkling in his eyes, pupils shaking. "Oh honey," Mrs. Yang slid closer to him, setting her cup down on the table to sit down where Jeongin was sitting to give him a hug. "It's going to be okay, yeah? We both know Chan."

That made Jeongin laugh out loud, tears now spilling from his eyes before he broke out into crying, sobbing into his mom's shoulder until a loud ringing disturbed the otherwise silent room. Jeongin jumped at the sound, looking up at his mother with fear written all over his face, heartbeat picking up, almost resulting into hyperventilating if Berry hadn't cuddled up to him. Jeongin turned his head towards the little dog, while Mrs. Yang gave him another small smile and got up to go towards the front door.

The clicking of the door opening was heard and Chan's voice could be made out, friendly greeting the woman he has known for half his life. "Hey, Chan! Glad you got back safe," she hugged him before letting the young man into the house where he quickly took off his shoes. "Jeongin's in the living room," she informed him and then went into the kitchen to give both boys some privacy.

The Australian quickly jogged through the hallway into the living room where he found the brunette sitting on the sofa, still cuddled into his big fluffy blanket and Berry sitting on top of him. And as soon as he had walked through the living room door, the dog's head perked up. When she realised who was standing in front of her, she quickly jumped up, wagging her tail and barking a few times while running towards her owner.

"Hey, Berry," Chan kneeled down to pet the dog happily jumping up and down on his leg. He scratched along her scalp a few times before getting up and walking towards Jeongin, who smiled the same small smile at him that he had given his mom before. "Hey, baby," the blonde smiled and settled down in front of him, biting his lip as worry spread across his face after seeing the younger's slightly reddened eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked and gulped, placing his hand onto Jeongin's fluff covered thigh, to which the younger nodded, looking down. "Yeah, I'm okay," he mumbled. "Just missed you," Jeongin added before eventually getting up and carefully taking a seat on Chan's lap. The Australian smiled up at him with eyes filled with love, looking into the face he has only been able to look at on pictures for the past four and a half months. "I missed you too, Innie."

After that, all hell broke loose. Jeongin broke down, sobs shaking his entire body while thick salty tears ran down his cheeks, dripping off his chin and wetting the fluffy blanket. "Jeongin, hey, what's wrong?" Chan asked in shock, quickly pulling his boyfriend into his arms, rubbing his hand up and down the younger's back to hopefully soothe his outburst.

"Hyung," he cried out, hiding his face in the blonde's shoulder, his own shoulders still rocking with sobs. "Shh, baby, I'm here, okay?" Chan whispered into his ear and kissed his temple. "I'm here." The next few minutes, the couple just sat there, huddled together into each other's arms, until Jeongin eventually calmed down, only his irregular breathing sounding into the room.

Once he had fully recovered, the younger sat up a little, wiped his face with the blanket, but not looking into Chan's face, who now pushed his chin up with his hand. He then put their foreheads together, noses bumping against each other, until their lips eventually found their way to one another, carefully embracing the other and moving in unison.

The heat that has been missing in the Korean's body quickly came back, spreading through all his limbs and warming him up from the inside. Oh how he had missed his boyfriend and being in his arms, feeling his hands upon his body and kissing him until he ran out of breath.

After they had parted, Jeongin licked his lip and cleared his throat, nervously moving around on Chan's lap. "Baby, what's wrong? You're worrying me," the blonde looked up at him in desperation, being unable to decipher what just happened to Jeongin. The younger swallowed before lifting his head, his gaze meeting Chan's.

"Please don't be mad at me," he said with a quiet voice, worrying the older even more. "Why would I be mad at you, Jeongin? Are you okay?" His face contorted into pure confusion, his thumbs caressing Jeongin's thighs, who now took a deep breath before closing his eyes and eventually unwrapping himself from the blanket.

Chan's eyes grew big, being unable to process what his boyfriend had just revealed to him, eyes jumping around trying to piece things together. "Hyung," Jeongin's lip quivered, body trembling. "Baby, hey, everything will be okay, yeah?" Chan quickly shook his head to get out of his train of thoughts. "We- We can do this, we're okay, okay?"

Jeongin nodded with new tears streaming down his face which Chan immediately wiped away. "I love you, Jeongin, I will always be here for you," the blonde reassured his boyfriend before leaning in and connecting their lips to another loving kiss, Jeongin immediately snaking his arms around Chan's neck, pulling closer and pouring every ounce of love he has for Chan into this kiss.

The next five minutes they just sat there, kissing, touching and comforting each other, Jeongin actually smiling for the first time in weeks.

"So, uh, how did this happen," Chan cleared his throat and let his hands run up and down Jeongin's waist. "We obviously had sex, you idiot," the Korean raised his brows and laughed. "Very funny, I know how babies are made, smartass," the blonde laughed back and smirked up at Jeongin. "I'm almost five months in so I guess it was the night before you left," the brunette shrugged, leisurely letting his arms hang off Chan's shoulders.

"I just left something of me behind so you could always think of me while I'm gone," Chan grinned, receiving a small punch against his chest. "You stressed me the fuck out with that, I was going crazy thinking you would leave me." To that the older laughed. "You know I love children, why would I leave you?"

Another shrug. "I was just scared okay? We're still young and I never planned on getting pregnant with almost 23. I was just scared it would be too early for you, but when I found out it was too late and... yeah." Chan gave him a sympathetic smile. "You could have told me, baby, I would have come back to help you," continuing to caresses his waist and hips.

"That's the point, I did not want to ruin your time with you family," the younger crossed his arms in front of his chest. "Well, nothing is more important than spending time with my family, but you have always been family to me and now we have our own, Jeongin, and that is even more important."
