Mackenzie grew up on the isle with her dad Hades and at age 16 she got chosen to go to a different school in Auradon with her identical twin sister Mal, her bff's Evie, Jay, and Carlos and was in love with Harry hook son of captain hook. 

But he wasn't coming with her and she became sad to leave him on the isle alone with Uma and her gang.

Mackenzie's childhood was rough being the daughter of Maleficent and Hades and the identical twin sister of Mal and being the future Queen of the isle of the lost.

Mackenzie's childhood friends stood by her since they became best friends forever.
