I ended up reaching school just on time... I really did my nitro boost on my feet huh? Looks like my routine jogging really did pay off...

I took a packet of bread from a vending machine, which someone had tinkered and one packet slid down. Lucky day~

I Chow down the bread before I went back to the vending machine to buy canned coffee.

After buying one, suddenly a familiar beeping voice appeared behind me.

"Ah, you want one too? OK!"

I bought one more can, and the both of us opened the cans and drank in the same... Wait a minute!

"BRRRSHHHUAHH!?" I gasped causing me to spit out some of the coffee to the air.

I looked at the figure whose coffee I bought for... It's none other than her.

"What... What on Earth are you doing here!?"

I heard more beeping voices from her as she finished sipping on the coffee.

"Yeah I know the companion protocol is still on, but you shouldn't have followed me all the way here... Especially without uniform!"

The girl's school uniform is consisted of a white sailor fuku shirt with a blue collar and tie, a blue skirt, and a pair of Tuscan colored shoes.

She beeped, and I responded "No, you need to enroll first!"

She put down the can, and she took out 2 objects from a bag, which is the school uniform set, and the enrollment form.

"Aahh! You've gotta be kidding me!" I clutched my head, trying to find a way out of this situation.

Well... At least she'll be in a different class right?

And later on, I went to my classroom where the Military training class is about to start.

The teacher came in wearing a khaki jumpsuit beneath a thick armored vest, and is wearing a helmet, all of which is the Imperial Warriors armor.

The Imperial Warriors are no ordinary soldiers, they were hard trained, to serve the Emperor or die trying... They were mostly armed with the Kinetic Carbine, something which I heard from the log Playback MA-I replayed... And also, if they had to charge through enemy infantry they had to rush at them with beam katanas, another exceptional piece of weapon technology, which can kill an unwary person in one stroke. The warriors were mostly men, but due to Emperor Akechi's more... Non sexism way there are some women who became warriors, and hell they are agile as heck!

"Good morning young warriors! We have a new warrior to our class!" He said, bowing at the figure outside the room.

I widened my eyes as I see it was her who came inside. The other boys went rowdy, and some even wanted her number while the girls whispered to one another.

She didn't speak anything, but she wrote her name on the chalkboard Mai Miyamoto and below it she wrote I can't talk.

I sighed in relief, she had found a way so other students won't suspect she's a machine.

"Where do you wish to sit, young lady- Warrior?"

She pointed at the empty seat right next to me, and the other boys looked at me with angry flames in their eyes.

"H... Huh? Guys, don't look at me like that--"

She then showed the boys a notebook page in which she wrote "Don't be mad boys, (Y/N) is my boyfriend!"

And of course this angered the boys even more, I could even hear one of them cracking their knuckles.

"You damn nerd..." One of them spoke.

"You don't deserve an angel like her..." Another one spoke.

"Wait, wait wait! This is a misunderstanding!"

And hours later is lunch hour, I walked to the cafeteria with bruises on my face and a black eye.

I sat down alone on top of the Academy roof, looking at the futuristic view of the city.

If Japan didn't have the tech to stop the bombs... I wonder what could have happened here...

Then I heard beeping and clicking, and I looked to the right, MA-I was there with 2 bentos.

"Why did you brought 2?"

She took out her notebook, and wrote something, and as soon as she's done she gave it to me. You forgot yours at home. I made these myself.

Ah I just remembered. I did forget to take a bento... Well, it's all or nothing then!

I took the bento box and opened it, inside were some sashimi and onigiri.

I took the pair of chopsticks on the side of the box, and I picked one of the sashimi pieces up before putting it to my mouth....

.....

My....

It's DELICIOUS!

I can't explain it, but it's as good as Mom's cooking!

"You really cooked this!?"

She nodded, but then frowned.

"What? It's good! Delicious!"

She let out a beep, and took my chopsticks before taking some of the sashimi pieces.

She then opened her mouth as she held the chopsticks and pointed it to me.

"Wanna spoon-feed me? Well I don't know how to--"

She thrusted the chopsticks into your mouth as you bit the piece off from it. You blushed heavily, and then...

"Look at that lucky bastard! Let's get him!" The boy from before said pointing at me.

He appears with 4 other boys, all of them wielding kendo sticks.

"Guys! I... I can explain!"

And I got the beaten up again.

Later on after lunch hour is over we had technology lessons, in which both of us completing 30 worksheets in 3 minutes, most of which is caused thanks to most of the other students couldn't focus on theirs due to laughing at my pretty face now. It got more bruises, and red stick marks.

And as a result I get tased by a taser carried by a guy who then told me "You got too lucky today, Boi."

I give up... Is my new everyday and school life is gonna be like this? Getting loved by a machine, but get hated by humans in the end? Wow.

The next day....

I woke up, to see her on top of me again.

She beeped and pointed at the clock.

"I'm not going today." I told her.

She beeped and clicked as she tilted her head.

"I... It's the Lumbago. If I overdo it I get a relapse, MA-I... It's real serious--"

Her eyes then glistened, like a sharpened sword before she stood up, making me face the side, before kicking me right in the back.

"OWWW...!"

And my Lumbago is cured instantly, I didn't have any other choice.

And for the next few days, and weeks I spent them being beaten up every each day by the boys, while MA-I kept comforting me.

However, one day.... At a Friday...

She tugged on my uniform and I looked at her. We were currently at home, barely just arrived with me heavily bruised.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Download complete, Begin recording. Tokyo Main HQ Engineers and Scientists, I am glad that MA-I 21 has reached you. You will find several databanks of information in this unit." That Yuri girl's voice came out of MA-I's mouth, so all of those scientific data I found inside her is meant to be sent to Tokyo for continuing research?

"MA-I 21, log Playback, resume."

"Please handle this information with the utmost care as it represents the sum total of the results of my research on the All-purpose Androids. There are also several databanks with information on my research into the American's Poseidon Energy and some projects that involved with them in the Akihabara area back before the war."

The log then finished abruptly as Yuri's voice says "If this unit is destroyed, please locate the clone of this prototype in--" before it turns into static.

So there's more than one MA-I... But where? Also, she mentioned something about Poseidon Energy...

I looked into some of my books for clues, and found that Poseidon Energy did have a branch somewhere here in Japan as both of our nations were the only allied ones while the others were at war. The problem is, the branch was never operational, since the bombs fell first and the first personnel never came.

But MA-I never made it to Tokyo. If suddenly something like her memory core triggered, she might leave me... I can't have that!

I need to find somebody who can help me in clearing the logs and also upgrade some of her systems so she wouldn't leave me...

But, why do I want to not let her leave?

My heart skips a beat... Is it...

No, it can't be. I can't be falling in love with a machine, can't I?

Maybe I'll find more of the truth later on...

"MA-I, let's head out together."

She grinned and beeped happily.
