-One-

Of course being somewhere new would be scary, only knowing a family friend because you're father's knew eachother.

Yoongi was incredibly intimidated by every person, but he was an ambivert so it'd be okay.... he leaned towards the extrovert side, fearing being alone in his own thoughts for too long but also incredibly anxious and shy around those he didn't already know.  He could be chaotic but also self reserved and careful, though he trusted too easily and was gullible.  And he knew it.

He quickly found his friends, who he thought were his friends.  His father's friend's son Taemin, Jackson, Jisoo, Haechan.

He thought.

His school was separated into class A and B and he was the only one in A.  He was Jackson's soon target, gaining the name's big mouth, beast, loud mouth, ect.

He was confident until then, his confidence dropping into being the one who would speak up when knowing the answer to being too afraid to even be first to stand up.

Now Yoongi could be hella lazy, but he would never pass up swimming at the start of after school rec.  Going with the group was hard but wearing a t-shirt and shorts instead of any sort of swimming suit made things less difficult to face.

And he enjoyed most of it, chasing Jisoo and Haechan around.

Until he swam past a certain group with Jackson and a female Haseul, the girl deciding it'd be a good idea to push Yoongi down to the bottom of the pool, holding him down even as he began to choke on the water.

Yoongi panicked, being pushed to the bottom of the pool and held there, the people around him laughing as his obvious struggle and pain, pushing himself away from them through his panic and surfacing, coughing and choking as Haechan immediately swam up to him, helping him to the side of the pool and rubbing his back as he coughed up water, his eyes puffy from being allergic to too much chlorine from the pool water he was held under.

He sniffled, then attempting to settle his breathing, "You should tell..." Haechan mumbled, wanting to be supportive but he himself wouldn't go against Haseul so they had to settle with some authoritive figure.

Which they did, going to rec leaders and teachers about the incident who promised to do something but never did.  Nothing ever happened.

Yoongi lost these friends.  Lost all of them.  Haechan leaving the school, Jackson joining Haseul in her relentless teasing, Taemin not bothering to continue talking, Jisoo always taking Jackson's side.

Yoongi became the least wanted person around, no one ever wanting to talk to him except one person. Taehyung Kim. The other reason they met was because of their similar love for anime and other cultures

Though it was rare for them to talk due to Yoongi being in class A and Taehyung being in class B.

Then there was a new kid, hyper, loud, loved musicals and dance, someone people didn't like due to his loudness.

So Yoongi took his chance at befriending him.  Jimin.

Yoongi really thought he could find one friend.  Raise up that one friend.  Help that one friend and made them popular.

Yoongi was the first one to befriend Jimin, but because of his few other friends... well acquaintances... he helped bring Jimin up to becoming popular in the class.  To having people that cared about him.  Jimin got all the attention, Yoongi was just the side line, the one who was there for everything, who would drop everything to make sure Jimin was okay and would take every insult and tease just for the one friend.

He took it.  He just let the pain build up to keep that relationship.  And even through all the toxicity... he still caught feelings.  He had a crush on him.  He did everything.  Even when Jimin got a crush on Haseul, the one who he knew practically attempted to drown him.  Who knew of all the teasing.

Yoongi stayed.

He stayed through it all and endured it, soon becoming a bit more sensitive and aggressive.

Teases that he would stand there and take soon made him lash out, break down, and push things.

He had begun reaching his breaking point with everything.

But he still stayed, he still kept his feelings for Jimin, through the other's relationship with Haseul, through him becoming friends with Taehyung as well.

Despite all the teasing, the two called frequently, almost every week.  This one having gone from calm to talking about crushes and Yoongi decided to make a big decision, knowing Jimin was incredibly supportive on LGBTQ+...

And he confessed.

He expected it.  He expected to be rejected.  He was okay with it.

But over time, due to his dumb confession, the toxicity grew.  He wasn't "Yoongi." He was "The one who always knows what's wrong with Jimin."

He was the one who was the weakest.

The target.

He soon wasn't teased as much.  He was just.

Invisible to anyone but his bullies.

It soon came to the point he couldn't wait in the auditorium before classes and ended up spending his time in the office, not that he minded, having a better relationship with his teachers than anyone else in the school.

His best, most trusted friend.  Was the one he grew up with, Woodam.  Though they didn't get to see eachother too much due to different schools, he was there.

Having enough of Jimin, he decided to message him a good long message to stop fucking with people, to not be so toxic.

Which made things so much worse.

Rumors began to spread.

Yoongi was teased for being Pansexual, for having a crush, and then they put words in his mouth.

Turned the whole school against him.

He would never be so insensitive to tell someone to kill themselves, having an incredibly suicidal sibling, saying that to someone which was already not right would make him no better than a murderer in his mind.

But that's what was spread.  He got slapped and hit for no reason, all because of Jimin spreading lies. Spreading about how he had depression and how Yoongi had told him to kill himself.

That's where Yoongi began to break, found himself crying alone most days, trying to figure out where things went wrong.

Why he didn't leave.

And soon he cut for the first time, wanting something to balance out his emotions.  It was small at first, sharp edges or paper cuts, but soon moved to scissor blades, hoping something would save him from hurting.

Nothing did.

He didn't know how to stop it, nothing could stop Jimin and Haseul who had become good friends.  Yoongi wasn't needed anymore and was thrown to the side and ridiculed for his interests, for things he was passionate about, for being affectionate, for having an appetite, for wanting one friend to talk to.

He let things go on and found a friend in Lalisa, aka Lisa, who wasn't mean. Just mildly uninterested.

But she stayed despite it.

And Yoongi was okay with having her there, thankful for having her even if she didn't care about a few of his jnterests.

The school year was almost over so he took each tease or being ignored. Invisible was better than each painful word.

He was getting closed off but still easily irritated and sensitive, having gotten to the point of punching Jackson in the face twice and twisting his wrist.

His friends were getting threats, Woodam who went to a different school was getting threats even if they didn't know him.

He was assumed to have also told Jimin to kill himself.

No one ever listened to Yoongi's side because no one liked him in the first place.

He ended the year, loved by teachers, hated by everyone else in the school.

Amd through the mandatory summer school, nothing got better.
