Chapter 3: The 104th Cadet Corps

Walking through town, you were heading for the Military Base that would load you and the rest of the fresh pieces of meats that were heading off to join the cadet corps. As you walked in silence, you felt this strange feeling against the left side of your face. Turning your head, you noticed from the other side of your group, Mikasa was staring in your direction. When the two of you made eye contact however, she immediately turned her gaze back forward as you were confused and turned your head to the right and noticed a few food stalls you were passing by.

"Is she hungry?" You wondered as you stopped in your tracks in front of a fruit stall and reached into your pockets as your friends were confused.

"Y/N?" Eren called out to you in confusion as you handed over a few coins to the lady that was working the stall and she gave you an apple.

"Here. You looked hungry." You said to Mikasa with a kind smile as she was surprised by your gesture, but a bit relieved that you thought of it like that. "Let's go." You said as you pushed onward ahead of your friends.

After that situation blew right over your head, the four of you made it to the military base where you were checked in and moved into a courtyard inside the base where other cadets were waiting as well to be shipped out. At the time, you were leaned against the wall with your left foot kicked back and placed on the wall behind you as you whistled in boredom waiting to be shipped out. Out of no where though, you bounced off the wall and spun around before walking down the walkway.

"Where are you going?" Armin asked as you glanced back at him.

"Gotta take a piss. I'll be back before you know it." You said as you ventured off whistling without a care.

"We could leave any minute..." Armin sighed before hearing a bunch of rustling coming from the courtyard and he saw all the cadets gathering their things like something was happening. "...Not good..." Armin thought as the timing was not in your favor.

While you walked through the base trying to find yourself the men's room, you passed a few cadets here and there, and some Garrison soldiers who were stationed at the base during the time. As you rounded the corner, a head of blonde hair was the last thing you saw before you bumped into someone and fell back on your rear. While on your butt, you rubbed your chin that came into contact with the person's head as you heard a feminine groan come across from you. Looking in front of you, there was a girl around your age who was considerably shorter than you with blonde hair tied up near the back of her head. She had a slender, yet more muscular physique and her eyes were an icey blue color. She was rubbing the top of her head and opened one eye as the two of you made eye contact and there was a moment of silence before you hopped to your feet and walked over to lend her a hand.

"Sorry. I wasn't paying attention." You said as she stared up at you. "Are you okay? You're not hurt, right?" You asked as she stared at your hand for a moment before sighing and taking your hand.

"I'm fine." Was all the girl replied as she used her other hand to push herself up.

"W-Whoa!" You yelped as she didn't know you were pulling her up with some force and with her pushing herself to her feet.

During the accidental motion, the girl went wide-eyed when she stumbled forward and found herself in your arms as her face was close to your chest and the shirt you wore had its neck hole more open, exposing your well-toned chest. The girl blushed at the sight as she stared up and the two of you grew extremely red as she pushed herself off of you and turned away as you rubbed the back of your neck nervously.

"S-Sorry, I was a clutz..." You apologized to her.

"I-It's fine..." The girl said while her back was turned towards you as she couldn't help but hold her chest trying to calm her fast beating heart as you glanced over and saw the cadet jacket that was hung off her bag that fell.

"Y-You're a cadet, too, huh?" You said as she turned towards you. "Looks like we'll be seeing each other around during training..." You said as you turned your bag to show the cadet jacket that you had tied around your strap. "I'm Y/N, nice to meet you." You said as while giving her a friendly smile.

"Annie..." Was all the girl said as she picked up her bag and hoisted it over her shoulder.

"Well, I hope to see you around. Right now, mother nature's calling...Phew...I'm about to burst like a waterfall! See ya!" You said as you walked pass her in a faster paced walk as you searched around for a restroom.

After bumping into that girl and aimlessly trying to find a restroom, you were finally able to relieve yourself and cleaning yourself up and picking your things back up, you walked out the restroom with a relieved face and sighed while heading back the way you came in. When you walked out to the courtyard however, you dropped your bag to the floor as you looked to see that the yard was so empty, a breeze was able to blow away a few leaves into the wind. You dropped to your knees and hung your head low.

"Damn you, bladder...This is all your fault..." You cursed your bodily function as a set of footsteps stopped behind you.

"Hey, brat...What do you think you're doing?" You heard a menacing voice behind you as you slowly looked up and saw an officer towering over you with a piercing glare.

"I'm screwed..." You thought before jumping to your feet and standing at attention. "S-Sir!" You acknowledged him as you saluted him with your right fist flipped and pressed against the left side of your chest.

"The carriages with the cadets have already left. If you're still here, that means you missed them. Which means you won't be joining the cadet corps--hmm?" The officer stopped midsentence as he stared closely at you.

The way he looked you over made you nervous as you couldn't help but examine his appearance as well. The man before you was tall and intimidating. He was bald, with prominent wrinkles on his forehead and dark circles around his eyes. He had a small beard growing from under his chin and you saw he was wearing an instructor's uniform for the Training Corps. Upon seeing that he was an instructor, you gulped knowing how much trouble you were in and probably how lowly this man thought of you. After a few moments passed, the instructor stood straight and looked you in the eye.

"It would seem that you're his son..." He said as you raised a brow from his out-of-nowhere assumption. "Come, let's have a chat on the way to the training camp." He said while turning away and heading for an exit as you were stunned by what he said for a moment before stumbling in place and running off after him.

After surprisingly climbing into a carriage with the instructor, the two of you were going through the city and passing busy streets as the ride was silent for some time, being that you were nervous beyond belief. As you sat across from him with your head down, he suddenly spoke up and broke the silence.

"Your father's name is Michael, isn't it?" He asked as you were shocked upon hearing your father get brought up out of no where. "You're the spitting image of him, and I can see some traits of your sister in you as well." He said as you looked towards him.

"You knew them?" You asked as he turned his gaze towards you. "Do you...know where they are...?" You asked him as he stared you in the eye.

"Sorry, I haven't seen them since the wall was first broken." He answered as as you were disheartened and sighed heavily. "Why did you join the cadet corps?" He asked as you clenched your fists.

"My home was destroyed...My mother was nearly killed by a shower of rocks, and my friends lost their families to those damned monsters..." You said as your teeth grinded against each other. "...They even separated my family and I haven't seen my father and sister in three years, not knowing if they're alive or not...the countless nights my mother woke up from nightmares...How can I not take revenge for the people I care about?" You said in frustration. "I and my three other friends...we vowed to take back Wall Maria, and return to our home that we lost...I'll do anything to bring back those days of happiness...I deserve revenge against the Titans..." You said with a stern look as you stared at the instructor right in his eyes.

"...Keith..." Was all he said as you were confused by this. "My name is Keith Shadis. I'll be the one to put you through hell before you go off and meet your fate of either being canon fodder for the Titans, or becoming one of humanity's strongest soldiers. Nice to meet you, cadet L/N." He said as he extended his hand out to you and you took it with a firm grip. "You're going to go through excruciating, painful, mind jerking exercises. Do you have the resolve it takes to come face to face with death and keep moving forward, no matter the choices you make along the way?" He asked as you nodded.

"Yes..." You responded.

"Do you think you're special enough to take on those Titans that took everything from you? Do you think you're some chosen one?" He asked as you shook your head.

"I'm nothing special...I just have a promise that I have to keep..." You said as you remembered the final thing your mother said to the four of you.

"That's why you have to promise me...please...all of you come home..." Those words echoed through your mind as you tightened your grip without realizing.

"I'm going to get back my home and take my revenge against those monsters. I swear my life on it." You said as Keith could see the raging fire that burned behind your eyes.

"I'm sure your father wanted to keep you from going down this path, but if you're that serious about gunning it to the Titans and taking back Wall Maria..." Keith trailed off as the carriage stopped and the door opened to the bright outside. "...Then move forward with no regrets or fear in your heart..." He said as you stood up from your seat.

"Yes, sir..." You said before hopping out of the carriage and planting you feet on the ground, taking a look at your new home, the Cadet Corps.

After arriving at the Cadet Corps training site, you and Instructor Shadis split up the moment you arrived and you were able to sneak your way back through the camp and find where all the cadets were standing and separated by gender. Suddenly, all the male and female cadets began to fall out to different barracks, and not wanting to be left behind again, you ran over to the male side and managed to mix into the crowd without anyone noticing too much. Once you were inside the barracks, there was an instructor stood in front of you all and you saw that the barracks were filled with bunks for all the men.

"You'll store your things in here and change into your uniforms before falling back out in the training grounds. You have ten minutes. Move!" The officer said in a stern voice.

"Yes, sir!" You all replied as you all fanned out and rushed through the barracks to claim a bunk and change in a quick manner.

Rushing over, you looked to see what bunk you could grab before settling with a spot towards the middle of the barracks and grabbing the top bunk. After placing your bag on top and grabbing your uniform from your bag, you began to undress as you heard someone stop next to you.

"Hi there." You heard as you took off your shirt and turned to come face to face with who you presumed would grab the bunk under you. "Hope you don't mind me grabbing the bunk under you." He said as you took a good look at him.

This young man had short, light ash-brown hair with the sides and back trimmed shorter; making them a darker hue. He has small, intense light-brown eyes with this vicious look in them. He was average height and had muscular build. He had a scowl that felt similar to Eren's to you, but he had long face. He extended his hand out to you before speaking up.

"I'm Jean Kirschtein. Nice to meet ya." He said with this confident, almost arrogant tone as you stared at his hand for a moment before shaking it firmly as he winced from the grip strength you had. "Ouch, hell of a grip..." He muttered under his breath.

"Y/N L/N. A pleasure." You said before releasing his hand and grabbing your button shirt and throwing it on as you buttoned up one at a time while Jean began to undress as well.

"Where ya from if you don't mind me askin'?" Jean tried to strike up a conversation with you as you stopped midway through your shirt and was a little hesitant to answer.

"Not too far. I live just in the town near over from here." You said as you took off your pants and got into your cadet trousers before tucking in your shirt and finishing up the buttons. "Jean, since we're gonna bunk together, I gotta tell you now." You said as you leaned down to throw on your boots as he stopped midway of putting his pants on. "I ain't that much of a talker, and it's we just met so it'll be a while til we all open up to one another. Just be patient with me and I'll show you the respect you show me. That sound good?" You said as you tied your laces and grabbed your jacket before settings your things aside and turning to him.

"Y-Yeah, sounds good." He said in a bit of surprise of how straight forward you explained how things would be in the beginning of things.

"Hope we get along." You said as you gave him one pat on the shoulder that made fall on his side on his bunk and you walked towards the exit.

After getting changed into your uniform, you headed out of the barracks and walked out to the main grounds where you saw that you were the first to come outside among both men and females. As the first cadet to be finished, you walked out to the open grounds and waited around for anyone else to come out. While standing around in your own thoughts, you heard a set of footsteps getting closer and turned to see a female cadet was heading towards you. This girl was petite and very short compared to the height of other cadets. She had long blonde hair, large blue eyes, and a heart-shaped face. Upon first look at her, you were instantly captivated by how cute she was as a red hue appeared on your cheeks. Shaking your head though, you straightened yourself out and tried to look calm as you noticed a kind smile on her face form when she saw you and headed straight towards you.

"Hello!" She said in a warm and fluffy tone that it almost made your heart skip a beat.

"Hey, nice to meet you." You said while turning towards her and placing your left hand on your hip as you extended your other hand out to her. "I'm Y/N." You said simply as she smiled and took your hand, which made you mentally swoon. "Such soft skin...What kind of girl is this? What's she doing in the military?" You thought as she spoke up.

"It's nice to meet you too! My name's Krista. Krista Lenz." She said as a gust of wind blew by and she was suddenly captivated by the way you looked and how your hair flowed with the wind.

"Hm? What's wrong?" You asked as she pulled her hand away and turned around to hide her cherry red cheeks.

"N-Nothing! I-I'm just a little shy is all..." She said as you smiled at her timidness.

"It's no problem. If anything I'm a little shy also...I probably wouldn't have approached you if hadn't come up to me." You said as she turned back and the two of you stared at each other before glancing away as both of you turned redder.

"W-Why'd I have to try and be more open now!? Especially with someone who looks like that?! I bet other girls are probably gonna go for him the second we all get acquainted..." Krista thought timidly as she twirled her hair around with your finger.

"What's up with this girl!? How can she be so cute!?" You thought as you shook your head and swallowed shyness back up. "A-Anyways, don't worry about trying to open up to much in the beginning...." You said as she turned back to you. "...Take all the time you need to get use to me, I'm a patient person..." You said as you turned back to her and the two of you shared a smile with one another as more and more people began to come out.

As everyone began to come and gather in the main grounds, you were able to acquaint yourself with some of the other cadets before finding Eren, Mikasa, and Armin. They explained to you how worried they were and questioned how you were able to get to the camp. Not wanting to bring up the ride with Instructor Shadis, you just told them you ran like hell until you found and were able to jump onto the last carriage of cadets. As you were conversing and making new friends with the rest of the cadets, you were stood a bit taller than most of the cadets and noticed off in the distance Instructor Shadis and a few other instructors were heading towards you and you turned your head to those around you.

"Hey, we better straighten up. Here comes the brass." You said as everyone around you looked to see Instructor Shadis coming.

"Line up!" An instructor yelled out as you all began to move faster before you were all lined up in different lines and spaced perfectly, standing at attention as Shadis stood in front and spoke out in a demeaning tone as you all stood under the bright light of the sun.

"We now begin the enlistment ceremony for the 104th Trainee Corps! I am Keith Shadis, and I had the misfortune to be assigned to train you bastards. And I'm not here to welcome you at all! Right now, you're mere cattle, fit for nothing but Titan food! No, less than cattle...!" He trailed off as you all stood silent, like good cadets with your hands behind your backs as he continued his monologue. "In three years, we'll take you worthless pieces of crap and train you! Give you the means to fight the Titans. In three years, when you stand before a Titan, will you still be food? Or will you be a noble wall, shielding the king? Or perhaps, one of humanity's glorious soldiers that slay Titans!? You will decide!" Shadis finished his speech as you furrowed your brow, reaffirming your resolve to become one of humanity's greatest weapon's against the Titans.

As you stood in place, being one of the souls at the front where he was giving his speech, Keith suddenly stepped right in front of you and glared like he was looking into your soul.

"Who are you!? What the hell are you doing here!?" He yelled in your face as you gave him a firm salute.

"Y/N! From Shiganshina! I'm here for revenge!" You yelled before grunting as you were met with a knee to the stomach as you dropped to your knees and coughed repeatedly.

"Revenge for what? Against who? That's a stupid reason. Why don't you rethink you're reason for being here while you get up off my dirt! Next!" Keith said before moving on as you gritted your teeth while struggling to your feet as everyone was shocked from the hazing you just went through.

"Rethink...my reason...?" You thought as some spit trailed from the side of your lip as Keith glanced at you from the corner of his eye.

"Think of something that will help you clearly see and drive you towards your goal, not blind you from the obstacles in your way." Keith thought before stopping in front of Armin. "You there! Who are you!?" He yelled in Armin's face as Armin gave him a salute.

"Armin Arlert, from Shiganshina!" Armin answered in a clear tone as loud as he could.

"Yeah? That's a stupid name." Keith insulted Armin as you fully stood up and wiped the drool from your face before standing back at attention.

After that, your line along with the line behind you turned around to face the rest of the Corps as you watched Shadis go through cadets and trying to break them down. As you watched, you noticed the nervous looks on some cadets faces, while others seemed to hold their cool and seemed unnerved by Keith's yelling. You could tell from the eyes of those who were unnerved and steeled, they had gone through their share of hell that even Keith trying to break them isn't something to be phased by. As you watched Keith, you took interest when you saw him stop in front of Jean who was a few rows away from you.

"Who are you?!" Keith yelled in fury in Jean's face.

"Jean Kirschstein, from Trost!" Jean answered him.

"What are you doing here?" Keith asked for Jean's reason for being a cadet as Jean was surprised, but had a nervous smile as a cold sweat ran down his face.

"Joining the Military Police, for a life deep within the walls." He said as you raised your brow at this as Jean grew a nervous face as Keith spoke.

"Is that so...You want access to the Interior?" Keith asked as Jean seemed ecstatic about the topic.

"Yes." Jean answered before his smile was wiped away before Keith suddenly headbutt him, making Jean drop to his knees and hold his forehead while writing in pain. "Who said you could sit down!? Anyone who can't handle this will never make the Military Police!" Keith yelled before moving on as Jean continued to write in pain.

"Who are you? What are you doing here?!" Keith asked the cadet near Jean.

"Marco Bott, Jinae City, Wall Rose South District! I want to join the Military Police, to offer the King my body and self in service!" Marco yelled with a nervous and ignorant face as you got a good look at the other person who wanted to join the Military Police.

"Really...I'm glad to hear that. Good luck. However..." Keith said before getting scarily close to Marco's face as he looked terrified. "The King doesn't want your body." He said as Marco looked absolutely scared of Shadis.

After a handful of cadets, Keith finally made it to another special case where you saw a scrawny shaved head cadet who had a slim build with gray eyes. This cadet really looked nervous as Shadis stopped right in front of him.

"Next! You! Who are you?" Keith asked as the cadet did something dumbfounded you, as he saluted the wrong way with the wrong arm and hand.

"Connie Springer, of Ragako Village, Wall Rose South District!" The cadet said with his eyes closed not wanting to look Shadis in the eyes.

"Oh shit..." You thought as you watched Shadis pick Connie up by his head with two hands and glare right into his soul as Connie hung in his salute position.

"You're doing it wrong, Connie Springer...I explained that this salute demonstrates your resolve to devote your entire heart to the people. Is your heart on your right side?" Keith said as everyone watched Connie dangle for a moment before something bizarre happened.

Just as Keith had finished speaking, there was distinct sound that echoed through the air and caught the attention of every single cadet in formation, especially Shadis. Turning your heads, you were all dumfounded and jaw-dropped when you saw a girl with long brown hair tied in a pony tail, suddenly munch down on a steamed potato. The area was so silent that you could hear a needle hit the ground in the open air, but instead what you all were hearing was the munching noise of the girl who had potato crumbs on her face and was in a cold sweat as she held the potato up near her mouth before swallowing. Keith just dropped Connie where he was as you watched him walk his way over to the potato girl as the air suddenly felt heavy.

"Hey, you...What are you doing?" Keith Shadis spoke in a tone that would make any cadet tremble as he got closer and closer to her.

"..." The potato girl looked even more nervous when he saw him walking towards her direction, and what baffled you was, she actually looked around thinking he was talking to someone else, and not herself as she took another bite of the potato!

"You're the one I'm talking to! You! Who are you!?" Keith shocked as she chewed faster before gulping down the piece in her throat before saluting him......with the potato in her hand...

"Sasha Braus, from Dauper village, Wall Rose South District!" She answered as Keith towered over her.

"Sasha Braus, what are you holding in your right hand?"

"A steamed potato! The kitchen had a fresh batch, and I couldn't resist." Sasha answered in a straightforward manner as you facepalmed.

"A thief AND an idiot!? This girl's screwed..." You cringed at the thought of what would happen to her.

"Did you steal it? Why? Why would you choose to eat a potato now?" Keith asked as he couldn't fathom her reasons for taking it.

"Letting it get cold would've been a waste, so I decided I should eat it now." Was what she replied as you covered your mouth with one hand trying not to laugh.

"Well, I still don't understand... Why would you eat that potato?" Keith asked as Sasha looked a bit dumbfounded by his question.

"Are you asking me why people eat potatoes?"  Sasha questioned Shadis as a gust of wind blew by and everyone was dumbfounded while you teared up trying not to laugh.

As everyone stood in silence, wondering what kind of torture Sasha would go through, the potato girl looked as if she had finally understood the position she was in. She looked down at the potato before breaking it into uneven halves and scoffing before handing the smaller half to Shadis.

"You can have half..." She offered as Shadis took it while he was baffled.

"Half..." Was all Keith could mutter as the girl in front of him gave a stupid grin to him.

"Pfft...!" You spat your laugh into your hand as Keith shot a terrifying glare towards you that made fall silent.

"Shit..." You thought as you went into a cold sweat seeing Shadis heard you and you were more than likely screwed along with potato girl.

Five hours after the welcoming ceremony, you and the girl were still running around the main grounds in exhaustion as the sun was setting behind the camp. You and the girl were huffing and puffing as it felt like you were dying inside and your legs would fall and crumble into dust. When you were told you were going to run until you died, the face you had was that of regret. However, when Shadis told she wouldn't get dinner that night, she looked more distraught than you did. As you breathed heavily and your shirt was soaked in sweat, you threw off your jacket and continued to run as you turned your head and saw Eren and Armin along with a few other cadets watch you two run.

"Damn...Me and my...Big mouth..." You cursed yourself as you looked ahead and noticed a carriage that was leaving the camp. "Huh? What's that? Dropouts? Why do I see three wagons?" You thought as you almost tripped and face planted on the dirt, but caught yourself.

"Hey, L/N!" You heard your voice get called out as you turned and swore you saw four of the same instructor's on the side of you. "You're done, get changed and grab some grub. You're lucky you get to eat anything. Braus, keep going." He said before walking away.

"Thank god..." You said as you dropped on the dirt and rolled onto your back in exhaustion.

"Damn it all..." Sasha groaned as she continued.

After grabbing your jacket and dragging your feet back to the barracks you were in to get into a change of non-sweat drenched clothes, it now night time and time for supper as you were sat at the same table as Eren, rubbing your legs while you ate.

"Man...I don't think I'll be able to walk straight for a while." You said in pain.

"It was five hours of running, even you would feel that eventually." Eren said as you both continued to eat the stew in your were served.

"Huh? A lot of people are coming to us." You said as you looked up and saw a bunch of people coming and suddenly crowd Eren.

"Hey, you saw the Colossal Titan, didn't you?" One of them asked as you raised your brow in confusion and looked at Eren.

"I already told you I saw it." Eren answered as those around you were surprised.

"Really?" A blonde haired cadet who you learned was Thomas, said in disbelief.

"How big was it?" A male cadet you didn't know asked.

"Big enough to look over the walls." He answered as everyone was listening in the story Eren was feeding them.

"Big enough to look over the walls." Eren said as another cadet named Daz barged in.

"What? I heard it stepped right over them." Daz exclaimed the information he heard.

"Me, too!" A girl who you met, named Hanna, agreed with Daz.

"That's what they said in my village." Someone else supported the misinformation as you turned your head.

"Who the hell heard that? People shouldn't just openly spread information they don't know fully..." You thought as you took another spoonful of stew, annoyed a bit at the past that was being brought up.

"No, it wasn't that tall." Eren answered them.

"What did it look like?" A girl named Mina asked as Connie was crouched next to the table and right next to Eren.

"It barely had any skin, but it had a huge mouth." Eren told her as he went for another spoonful of stew.

"What about the Armored Titan that broke Wall Maria?" Someone from behind the crowd asked.

"They call it that, but it looked like a normal Titan to me." Eren said as he went to eat his stew.

"Th-Then what's a normal Titan like?" Someone asked as you went wide-eyed and looked at Eren who was stunned by the question.

Suddenly, Eren dropped his spoon into his stew and looked as if he were about to threw up as you put your hand on his back.

"Hey, you okay?" You asked as you gave Marco an intense and suggestive look and he turned to the crowd.

"Guys, let's stop with the questions. I'm sure he'd prefer to forget some things." Marco said as Eren looked to have calmed down and took his bread.

"I'm sorry for asking--." Connie tried apologizing for his set of questions, but Eren spoke up suddenly.

"Don't be!" Eren said as you were all surprised by his sudden recovery as he ate his bread aggresively.

"Eren?" You muttered as you were surprised by the front he was putting on.

"The Titans aren't all that tough...If we can master the Three-dimensional Maneuver Gear, they won't stand a chance! Finally, I'm able to train as a soldier...I was just so excited, I forgot myself for a second. I'm joining the Survey Corps, so I can wipe the Titans off the face of this earth. I'll kill them all--." Eren was speaking his mind before a voice chimed in suddenly.

"Hey, are you nuts?" You heard as you lifted your head and saw your bunkmate, Jean, sitting at the table across from you two. "Did you just say you want to join the Survey Corps?" He asked with a smug grin on his face as Eren looked annoyed.

"Yeah, I did." Eren answered him sternly. "And you said you wanted to join the Military Police to take it easy, right?" Eren questioned back as Jean rested his head on his hand, supported by his elbow on the table.

"I'm no liar...I'm a straight talker, unlike someone who pretends to have balls of steel, even when he's about to piss himself." Jean retorted as Eren suddenly stood up from his seat.

"Are you talking about me?" Eren asked as if he was offended by Jean.

"D-Don't..." Marco tried reasoning as you grabbed Eren by the shoulder and stood up.

"Stop, Eren. Don't be stupid." You tried reasoning with him.

"Hey, I didn't..." Jean said as he stood up and walked towards Eren, while your friend shook your hand off and squared off with Jean, face to face.

You grew nervous wondering what was about to happen, but before you could step in between the two, the sound of a bell being rung echoed loud enough for everyone to hear as this signaled the end of supper. Now the scene grew awkward before Jean sighed and smiled at Eren.

"Well, I'm sorry. I didn't want to say you're doing the wrong thing. Peace?" Jean asked with a smug grin while holding his hand out while Eren sighed as well.

"Yeah. I'm sorry, too." Eren said while walking away and towards the door while you and everyone watched him leave.

Just after he left, Jean's eyes suddenly were caught by the beauty that was Mikasa with her long black hair as she walked by him. Wide-eyed, Jean's face turned red as he nervously spoke to her.

"Hey, you..." He called as Mikasa stopped and turned around to him. "W-W-Well, uh...It's just that you look different than the rest of us. I'm s-sorry...Your hair is very pretty." Jean said in a stuttering mess.

"Thank you." Was all that Mikasa said before noticing you head towards her direction.

"Hey, Mikasa. Let's catch up with Eren." You said while walking pass Jean, as he couldn't help but notice the superiority of your looks and body size compared to his.

"Y-Yes." Mikasa said as her face turned a little red, and Jean noticed this while being jaw-dropped while the two of you walked out of the canteen.

Snapping out of his stun, Jean rushed out of the door and looked around trying to find her, but when he turned to his right, he saw you and Mikasa walking with Eren.

"I'm fine, leave me alone." Eren complained.

"You're always so impulsive when you're riled up." Mikasa said as Eren seemed pestered.

"This again? Anyway, isn't your hair a little long? It could cause an accident when you're practicing with the Maneuver Gear." Eren said as Mikasa held her hair between her fingers.

"Very well. I'll cut it." She said as you wrapped an arm around Mikasa.

"But you know, you'd probably look pretty nice with short hair. Nice suggestion, Eren." You gave a cheesy smile as Mikasa blushed before you stumbled, causing her to stumble and catch you. "S-Sorry, my legs are still numb..." You said.

"I see..." Mikasa said as she placed her hand around your hip and you were confused.

"Hm?" You wondered before you found yourself being picked up and hoisted over her shoulder with no problem. "This is a little...hmm..How do you say? Degrading..." You said as you slumped over her shoulder, emotionally and mentally dead while being picked up by a girl significantly smaller than you.

"Should I stop?" Mikasa asked.

"It actually helps, so no..." You said as an embarrassed tear left your eye and Jean could only watch in disappointment and sorry as Connie walked by him and Jean rubbed his hand on Connie's back.

"Agh! H-Hey!  That's my shirt! What did you wipe on my shirt?" Connie asked while trying to feel around on the back of his shirt.
