Ivory Evans

It's been two weeks since we talked about our marriage and ever since that night, Leon has been acting a little bit weird and it's making me so suspicious. He even politely asked me to stay at my house instead of spending the night at his place.

Don't tell me that.. he changes his mind.

Suddenly I remembered that Celine was supposed to get married around this week. Please don't tell me that Leon decided to get back with her by kidnapping her and got married with her somewhere.

"Aahhhhhh." I wanted to pull my hair so bad for being so furstrated.

"That's it! I need answers!" I hissed and I got out from my room. My dad saw me and he looked at me a little confuse but I just walked pass him. I ran downstairs and walked out from my house taking my car to Leon's restaurant.

When my car almost got out from the gate, Leon's car suddenly appeared. He gave me a signal to reverse and I quickly reversed my car. I got out from the car as soon as I parked my car back.

"Where are you going?" He asked as he got out from the car. I walked towards him and he raised his eyebrows completely had no idea. He showed me a plastic bag full of groceries.

"Have you eat dinner?" He asked and I sighed. I turned around to walk back to my house. He's making me angry but at the same time I really love him. There's nothing I can do about it. I tried to understand that just got out from a really bad breakup.

"Ivy?" He called me and I didn't stop.

"Ivy.." He called me again but this time his tone was a little bit deep like he wanted to me to answer him.

"What?" I asked.

"Where did you plan to go earlier?" He asked as he slowly walked to me.

"Meeting Ben." I hissed.

"What?!" He raised his tone but I ignored him. I walked back into the house and left the door open for him to come in. I sat down on the sofa in the living room and saw Leon walk pass by me to the kitchen.

"Annoying.. he didn't even try to talk to me." I hissed and I turned to see him in the kitchen. He was busy taking pans and stuffs out from the fridge.

I got up and walked towards the kitchen slowly. Leon as busy cutting some meat and vegetables. I stood at the edge of the kitchen table looking at him.

"If you want to go and meet Ben then go ahead." He hissed coldly without looking at me.

"Did you go to Celine's wedding?" I asked and he stopped cutting the onion. He put his knife down and turned to me.

"Are you seriously asking me that question?" He asked as he looked at me disbelief.

"Did you? Or did you not?" I asked.

"No." He answered and then continued to do his cooking again.

"Then why are you acting so weird for the past 2 weeks? It's like you avoiding me."

"I'm not avoiding you, Ivory." He said.

"Are you trying to back out from the arranged marriage?" I asked carefully and Leon stopped again. He put his knife down and washed his hands.

"Are you doubting me?" He asked me as he walked towards me slowly. He looked straight into my eyes and I gulped nervously.

"I just.."

"What? You're thinking that I went to Celine's wedding? Cancelling the marriage? Can you at least have faith in me a little bit?"

"Sorry.. I was just.. worried." I said as I looked away.

"Worried about what?"

"I don't know.. you leaving me.. or maybe you will kidnap Celine and get married somewhere else." I hissed and he decided to get back with his cooking. I can't believe him that he just ignored me.

He kept cooking and cooking. I sat on the dining table looking at him and sighed.

"I'm sorry." I said and he ignored me. He didn't even glance at me, is he that mad?

He was done cooking and he walked towards me. He put a plate full of risotto with meat. He put his plate on the seat across me and he gave me a spoon and fork to eat. He sat down and he started to eat up.

"I'm sorry." I said once again and he looked at me sighing.

"I don't understand why you have that doubt inside fo your mind, Ivy." He said as he put down his spoon and fork.

"I will never play you if you're doubting that I will back off from the arranged marriage. About Celine, I told you that I will not see her again, I will never. It's done and we both have our own lives. Why are you so afraid?"

"You changed for the past 2 weeks. You didn't even let me stay at your place." I said as I looked at the food blankly.

"Eat up and then we'll go to my place." He said and I already lost appetite. I forced myself to eat because he already cooked it for me.

As soon as we're done, he dragged me to his car. I got inside and he drove towards his apartment in silent. There's a tons of questions inside my head, why is he bringing me here now?

As soon as we got into his apartment, he gave his car to the valet chauffer. He grabbed my hand and we went up to his condo. He opened the door and my eyes widen.

"What?"

"I changed all the interiors and add some stuffs for you to move in once we get married." He said and that made me speechless. He did change a lot of things and I was so surprised.

It used to be all light brown cozy vibe but he changed into all white and marbles. This made me speechless and he gestured to check his bedroom. I walked towards it and opened the door.

My jaw dropped when he added a walk-in closet. He used to have an office beside his room. He changed into a walk-in closet and re-model the entire room.

"Why didn't you just tell me?" I asked as I turned to him. He held my hand and brought me into the walk-in closet. He gestured me to open one of the white cupboard. I opened it and there's a small black velvet box.

"Open it." He said and I took the box.

"What is it?" I asked because I'm expecting something here.

"Open it." He said and I opened it slowly. My whole body froze, my heart stopped beating for a second and I turned to him completely speechless.

"You're doubting me for no reason, Ivy. I'm doing this for you.. I want to make everything special but you kept being suspicious with me." He said sighing.

"I'm sorry." I said as I put down the box and hugged him. He hugged me tightly and kissed the top of my head.

"I'm just afraid that you.. will leave me or.. you know.. want to cancel everything."

"I told you that I want lots of kids with you. Why am I leaving you? That's stupid." He said as he released the hug. I turned to the box again and then turned to him.

"You know the drill.. I'm going to ask for it because you already agree with it in the first place." He said as he took the box from me. He pulled out the ring and kneeled in front of me.

"Leon."

"Ivory Evans, will you marry me?" He asked and I crashed my lips to his right away. I cried as I hugged him.

"Yeah."
