Oh to hear tweet cacophony

Melodies override dawn's light

Chirps, peeps, warbles and trills compete

Stay away from my nesting site

Of course my feathered female friends

Please come closer for love's delight

Oh to hear tweet cacophony

Squawks and wings race through emerald trees

Stay out of my nest blue winged thief

Blue eggs I do not give to thee

And for your effort this morning

We add pecks to your feathered flee

Oh to hear tweet cacophony

As young beaks open wide with peeps

Open door to my covered porch

With paper and pen my hand sweeps

My advice for warm spring season

Give up efforts to oversleep
