Eerie night as the stars glow bright

White barn owl swoops in silent prowl

Small black bats circle witches' hats

Gray wolves howl and scary ghouls growl

As we walk we hear creatures talk

Giggles spill as the cool wind chills

Full moon shines on tinkling wind chimes

Old house creaks as we knock and speak

"Trick or treat," small goblins entreat

Front door slides as it opens wide

Look inside, candy floats and glides

While ghost haunts with loud spooky taunts

Goblins flee while ghost slaps his knee
