Sunlight glistens through green trees

Sit and hope for cooling breeze

As sun drops towards sleepy town

Reach for thoughts to release frown

Cardinal with a black bald patch

Hops deck rail for peanut snatch

Sharp chirps seem to say "Hurray!"

Old gent warms my heart each day

Bunny hops out from tree line

For an evening green weed dine

In the distance kiddies squeal

Smile as I feel laughter heal

Feel my tension drain away

Calm replaces mental fray

Nature and children's delight

Tranquil feelings fill my night
