Sunrise diamonds sparkle

With Mother Nature's sneeze

Fog tornados vanish

Hair dancing with her tease

Glass lake mirror ripples

Wee imps skate by on skis

Raptor swoops warm waters

Sun captures feather flash

Wings beat to slow descent

Grabs snake with talon slash

She soars up to her nest

Snake whips in final thrash

Underneath a pine tree

A unicorn peeks out

Looks up and down lake edge

Head swivels as he scouts

Ears twitch to hear a sound

Before he steps about

A large gray water horse

His head held up quite high

Comes surging down blue lake

He looks me in the eye

He gives a little wink

And rumbles low good-bye

Bits of color flutter

Through trees and flower beds

Fairies jump, laugh and twirl

With tiny hats on heads

Joyous fun brings a smile

Delightful feelings spread

Then a furry critter

Gives me a little slap

My eyes begin to twitch

She crawls into my lap

Furry creature purring

She wakes me from my nap
