Over there

In dark woods

As we stare?

There are two

Do you see?

There are more

In the trees

Under bush

Do you see?

Do you think

They are eyes

Stare at us

In surprise?

Watch them blink

Break their stare

Should we run

Up the stairs?

Mom, Dad look

Do you see

Many eyes

In the tree?

Mom and Dad

Who are wise

Point and say

Fireflies!
