Book Universe Info
So you've read a book and noticed in yet another book, the same characters pop up? Aren't you clever!
I don't often talk about the universes because sometimes people get VERY hung up on book order and those details can become confusing.
Yes, there are several books that not only share the same world, but the same character experiences. Thus, they also share some spoilers. I've tried very hard to keep the mystery so that even though some things are spoiled, main events are not.
The smallest universe is the Perception universe which includes fairy tale retellings. So far, there are two books and they intersect. Either can be read first.
The next universe is the Volunteer universe. This is a sci-fi dystopian world. The books are closely related but aren't dependent on one another. The reason for the second book WAR is because book AIR was difficult for some to understand. WAR will take a slower pace and a more detailed view of the world.
The hunchback series is one of my favorites. It feels awkward saying 'hunchback' as it's a term used to disparage the character in the story but that was never the intent here; it's only an identifying marker.
I really like the strength of this character and the way the three stories unfolded in this world of magic and mischief.
The biggest universe by far, spanning 13 novels and one short story, is the Elementals universe. These are written to be read out of order but it's a bit complex if we break it down. For me, this is the most fun universe because old favorites show up again as secondary characters.
In this universe, there are 13 books, made up of 4 trilogies (not to mention a short story). That's 14 books. Each 'first' book is written with closure.
When I See You (Trilogy)
The Nobleman's Masterpiece: The Difference (Trilogy)
Sated (Short Story)
The Me You Stole (Standalone)
We Can Go Back (Trilogy)
The Stuff of Dreams (Trilogy/Origin Story)
If you're unsure, look for this symbol on the cover. It will be added to all new books (and previous book covers) until they are uniformed.
This is the likely order they'll be read. But that's not the timeline. And the books sorta intersect so it's hard to say 'start' here. I do recommend starting with either "When I See You" or "The Difference" and "The Ruins We Cherish" even, but it appears that you need at least ONE book from the universe before getting to We Can Go Back which is a bit fast-paced.
