" alpha king am really bored can I please leave your wing for today ." she pleaded

" last time I checked you're punished sugar ." he spoke sternly while working on some papers as usual..

" b..but it's too much , and on top of that you left me alone all this time." she nagged

he ignored her , still working.

" I WANT to go out right this instant." she almost yelled

" well young lady am not one to be yelled at , on top of that I'm a man of my word , if I say you're punished for a month than it is as I command ."

" I'm suffocating here , I hate you , I want to go back to my village. "

he ignored her once again making her even more angry .

she walked towards his bedroom , then came back again " it's like you're not here , are these papers more important than me ?" she asked in anger .

still he ignored her once again , until she decided to earn his attention , she walked towards him and sat on the floor between his legs as he sat on the couch ..

he looked down at her in surprise " I'm not leaving this spot until we come up with a solution to my boredom. " she spoke determined

he shook his head in disbelief

" see these shelves go grab yourself a book to read instead ." he advised

" I spent the last weeks reading books , I want human interaction I'm going nuts ." she declared

he mindlinked his beta to bring his mate , which happened as he ordered in few minutes .

" I'm leaving to the study , behave. and most importantly don't bother me. " he ordered as she just nodded

he walked away towards the next room in his wing which is his study along with Sam.

" hello Luna, so long since the last time I saw you ." bowed Rebecca

" indeed , how are you Rebecca?" she smiled warmly.

" I'm fine , how about you , your highness ?"

" I'm doing well , at least am trying and call me wren please ." smile wren once again .

" it's forbidden Luna, you are of a higher rank , alphas , betas and gammas should not be addressed by their names as well as their females, by lower ranks . " informed Rebecca

" but .. it feels distant to be honest ." pouted the cute little wren " how old are you if I may ask ?" she added

" I'm twenty-two, what about you Luna?"

" I'm nineteen!" she exclaimed " you're still young too , how did you meet your mate ?" she added

" it was during a ceremony, I'm a werewolf so it was easier for us to accept each other. "

nodded wren , " I heard from my mate that his majesty brought you here against you will!!"

" yeah , I don't really want to remember what happened back then , it's nothing pleasant. " shrugged  wren

" it's not all that bad trust me , his majesty is a great man , he's cruel and merciless at some point but only when he feels it's needed , as long as you obey him you're fine, I assure you ."

wren seemed to be thoughtful.

"  how long have you been here ?" she asked

" two years already ."
" that's a long period of time compared to mine ."

" you'll get used eventually, life in the castle is nothing compared to the outside world, be careful , at first when I came here, I got bullied several times , if it wasn't for my mate being by my side I would've ran away ."

" it happened to me already ." responded wren

" would you like to come visit me often , I feel so lonely over here it's suffocating.?!" asked the Luna

" of course Luna anytime as long as our mates are okay with it ."answered Rebecca

after a long conversation , getting to know each other and strengthening their bond , their mates walked out of the study ..

she looked at him startled as his eyes fell on her , she started playing with the hem of her dress nervously

" what's wrong ?" asked the alpha king

" n..nothing ." She stuttered

" actually Luna and I would like to ask if we can meet often !!" spoke Rebecca looking at her mate than the alpha king ..

wren looked up at her mate waiting nervously for his answer

" you may ." he spoke shortly making her smile thankful

" but no going out even after your punishment is over unless I permit it."

her smile faded , she looked at the ground in disappointment nodding to him .. " okay." she whispered

" we excuse ourselves ." spoke the beta bowing along with his mate and leaving .

he took a step towards her making her take a step backwards, this continued until he grabbed her forearm hugging her to his chest , he put a hand behind her back while the other behind her head .

" what do you think of Rebecca. "

" she's a nice girl ." she spoke softly as he looked down at her

she met his eyes for a brief second then looked away immediate

" are you scared of me little mate ?" he asked oozing power intimidating her .

he could hear her heart beats she's nervous and he smelt fear ..

she shook her head in negative " I don't like liars little thing ." he warned his voice deep and authoritative..

" I.. don't you remember what you did to these people back at my village , the man you slaughtered and manhandeling me when I tried to run away ?" her voice was a little above a whisper

" these people deserved it , and you deserved worst than what I did to you when you tried to escape , I'm the ultimate King MATE I can do whatever I please and being soft is nowhere near my name ." he roared

tears rolled down her cheeks silently as she felt helpless and vulnerable ' is this the monster she's going to live with for life?'

" little mate you should be thankful you've seen nothing of my wrath and let's keep it this way .. I will protect you with my everything but remember to live by the rules if you don't want to be in trouble. "

she put her tiny hands on his broad muscled chest trying to get away from him .

" let go please ..." she pleaded looking down trying her best to get away from his embrace but it didn't even bother him as she can never overpower him.

" you are a monster, I can't believe I'm living with you and sleeping on your bed .!!" she whimpered

he went down to her level breathing in her neck " because you're my mate that's your place , next to me. " he whispered in her ear making her shiver and gasp

" I hate you !" she whispered leaving to the bedroom .

he ignored her walking out of his wing as she went to the bedroom crying herself to sleep ..
she was messed up , she remembered all the bloody images of the people he killed and tortured giving her nightmares .

he felt uneasy, he immediately went towards his wing for his mate, he heard whimpers and muffled screams , the alpha ran towards her to the bedroom .

" baby, wake up it's just a nightmare ." he tried waking her up

" baby girl you're alright I got you." she slowly opened her eyes and flinched " don't touch me ." she almost screamed

" alright calm down ."

her cries went louder as she hugged her knees to her chest still lying on the bed

" every night .. every night since you left and I'm seeing the same scenarios of you killing them ." she sobbed crying her heart out

he looked at her in sympathy ' is this what he did to his mate , he should've been more careful with her .'

" I'll be in the living room if you want anything take your time ." he tried comforting her

' as much as he didn't want to hurt her emotionally and physically he felt like he did the opposite, he didn't want to break nor harm her but what to do that's just who he is ' he thought
