Blake POV
I pace back and forward in my office, trying to figure out what to do about this. Now that the mate pull has gotten what it wanted, I'm not feeling the pull anymore. But now all I can do is think about her. My body is craving her touch.
I don't know what happened, it was like my body was controlling itself. When I came to my senses, it was too late. My teeth were sunken into the same spot where I once marked her. I stood there in shock, watching her run away. I didn't want this, and from her emotions that I felt, neither did she.
I look over at the door as Fred walks into the room. "I just talked to Andy. He's leaving, he said you marked Tammy last night." He looks at me with a confused expression on his face, closing the door behind him.
"I went into the forest last night for a run, and Tammy was at the spring. I lost control." I say not going into detail. I continue to pace back and forth, mentally cursing myself for not being able to control myself.
"What are you going to do now?" He asks.
"Nothing, you're going to make some calls and find Circe for me." Circe is the witch queen. I have witnessed the things her magic can do, so I'm hoping she can help me with my situation. Circe's mother and my father were good friends, so Circe and I use to hang out a lot growing up. I guess you can say she was like my best friends or like the sister I never had, but when our parents disappeared we didn't have time to hang out anymore. We were too busy, now that we had big responsibilities.
"The witch queen? Why do you need her?" Fred asks with a frown.
"She will get rid of this bond," I tell him as I continue to pace.
"Why would you interfere with the goddess work. I don't understand Blake, you said that she made you weak, but what is the true reason why you're doing all of this?" I can see that Fred doesn't agree with my decision, but they are my decision. And I don't have to explain why I've made the decision I have made.
"Do what I asked of you, Fred," I tell him, leaving no room for argument.
He let out a sigh, before making his way over to the desk taking a seat to make the calls like I asked. All of a sudden a wave of pain hit me, knocking me down to one knee. What the fuck is happening.
I start to feel Tammy's emotions and she's feeling the same pain. It's the bond. My mark is setting and we haven't made any contact since I marked her. And now it's forcing us together.
"What's wrong Blake!" Fred quickly makes his way around the desk, coming over to me. He takes a knee next to me, helping me to my feet.
"It's the pain from us not having any contact." My breathing picks up as I stand to my feet as the pain slowly started to die down a little.
"You have to go to her Blake, she must be in pain also," Fred says, I can hear the worry in his voice.
"I'm not going to h-" Another wave of pain hit me harder than the last one, causing me to roar out.
"It's not right for you to let her suffer, you're the one who marked her Blake," Fred says, heading towards the door.
"Stay!" I stop him. I take in a couple of deep breaths. "Make the calls and find Circe," I tell Fred once the pain starts to die down again, but not completely. It's still there, but it's bearable for now. My jaws clench down, glaring over at the door for a second, before leaving the room, heading to Tammy.
As I follow Tammy's scent through the castle another wave of pain hit me. I reach out grabbing the wall to keep myself up. I continue to move, fighting through the pain.
I can feel her pain.
Her scent leads me to the east wing of the castle. The second I crack the door to her room, her screams escape through the soundproof walls. My eyes land on her, as she lay on the floor screaming in pain. The way the covers are on the floor with her, I'm guessing that the wave of pain woke her from her sleep, and she fell to the floor trying to get out the bed.
As I feel another wave of pain about to hit, I walk into the room going over to her. I kneel down and scoop her up, lifting her off the floor. The second I make contact with her, I feel the pain fade away completely.
She rests her head against my chest. Her breathing starts to even out. "Andy something is w-" A deep frown appeared on her face when she looks up and realized it's me and not Andy.
"Put me down!" She says, trying to get out of my arms. I let her go, letting her drop down on the bed. "What did you do to me? Did you try to change me!?" She frowns as she reaches up touching the mark. She knows if I tried to change someone without their consent, then they'll die.
"If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn't poison you with my venom. I'll make it quick and just break your neck. It's the mark setting which cause for us to make contact for the next few days or the pain will only return." I tell her. This didn't happen the first time, became she was always by my side.
"Where's Andy?" She glares at me, as she slowly sits up, getting out the bed, standing a few feet away from me.
"Gone" Is the only thing I say. I can feel the sadness wash over her after hearing that Andy's gone. I can feel the feelings that she holds for Andy. She loves him. "Keep your fucking emotions to yourself!" I glare at her. I taught her how to block her emotions for me the first time I marked her. I didn't want to invade the privacy of her emotions if she didn't want me to, so I taught her how to block them whenever she chose to do so.
Her sadness that I just felt seconds ago, quickly turns into anger. "Don't fucking tell me what to do! You should've kept your lips and teeth to yourself! You ruined everything!" Her voice cracks a little, and tears start to fill her eyes. She reaches up and wipes the tears away before they start to make their way down her face.
"I didn't tell you to come here! You should've just stayed where you were and this wouldn't have happened!" I glare at her. I didn't want to see her. I didn't want her here. The twins wanting her here is the only reason I let her stay, but now I regret doing so.
"Yeah go ahead and blame me for this too! Tell me how this is all my fault! Tell me how I shouldn't have been in the forest when all I was doing was minding my business! Come on, blame me for this as you blame me for everything else!" She pushes me, causing me to let out a low growl. All the emotions that she once hid are now on the surface. Tears pour from her eyes as she yells at me. I can feel her sadness, hate, pain, etc.. rolled into one big angry ball.
"You ruined everything! Get out!" She pushes me, as she continues to cry and yell at me. I push her hand away as she goes to push me again. I glare at her, before leaving out the room. I don't have time for this. I can't bring myself to fight with her. Her sadness that I feel makes me pity her. The second she slams the door behind me, her yelling and cries are silenced by the soundproof walls.
I continue to go to her every few hours when the pain returns, only to get into a big fight over and over again. She yells at me, telling me how I ruin everything, and that she hates me. She even attacked me with those knives.
It's like the mark knows that Tammy and I only been making contact for a few seconds, just to stop the pain. Now we have to make contact longer, or the pain will return the second we stop touching. I try to go to her before the pain hits, but we always end up arguing until the pain finally hits, because she refuses to let me touch her as if I wanted to.
I look over at Fred, while he speaks with someone on the phone. He has been making call after call to find Circe. I pace back and forth in front of the desk, watching him write something down.
"Thank you." He says before hanging the phone up.
"This suppose to be the number where you can reach her." Fred picks up the paper, holding it out for me to take. Fred let out a sigh. "Is this really necessary Blake?" He asks.
"Yes," I say ending the conversation before he decides to take it any further. I take the paper from his hand and look at the number he wrote down. I turn the phone towards me and start to dial the number. I place the phone to my ear as it starts to ring.
"Hello" I hear the familiar sound of Circe's voice on the other side of the phone.
"Circe," I say to make sure it's her.
"Who is this?" She asks, sounding irritated by an unsuspected call, from an unknown number.
"It's Blake," I tell her. A couple of seconds pass before she says anything.
"So it's true, you're back." Her voice now holding a bit of amusement. "Wait, where the hell have you been Blake. Your werewolves have been causing a lot of chaos lately." Her voice is now serious again.
"It's a long story, but I need your help with something. Where are you?" If anyone can help me with this, I know it's Circe.
"France, But I can come to you if you need me to." I let out a sigh, I wanted to get this done today. But she's in France and it'll be at least two days before she arrives here.
"I was hoping you could help me with this sooner rather than later, but I guess it'll have to wait," I tell her.
I quickly look back as a bright blue light appears behind me. Seconds later Circe steps through the light with her phone still to her ear. She smiles when she sees me. "I'm here." She says to me through the phone, even though we're in the same room now. She waves her hand, causing the blue portal to vanish.
I'm not surprised that she managed to travel across the world in a matter of seconds. After all, it's Circe we're talking about.
"I could've killed you." I frown as I sit the phone down. I look at her. She looks exactly the same, other than her short red hair that now stops at her shoulders. I remember it being long.
"You make it seem as if killing me would've been such an easy thing to accomplish." She takes the phone away from her ear, sliding it into her pocket as she flashes me that big smile that I remember. She walks over giving me a hug. She pulls away, looking over at Fred sitting behind the desk. "Fred?" She says with a raised eyebrow.
"The one and only." Fred gives her a smile.
"Wow, you're all grown up. The last time I saw you, you were maybe six or seven, with missing front teeth. Nice to see you again." She gives Fred a smile.
Fred let out a low chuckle. "You too."
"So, what is it that I'm here to help with." She asks looking back over at me.
"I need for you to get rid of my mate bond," I say getting right to the point.
"That shouldn't be a problem. I'll need you and your mate together to do so." She tells me.
"Blake can you at least think about this before you do it?" Fred asks, hoping that I will change my mind.
"There's nothing to think about Fred," I tell him, heading to the door, leaving the office with Circe right behind me.
Circe walks next to me as I make my way through the castle, following Tammy's scent. "I thought mates were the most cherished thing amongst your kind. Why don't you want one?" Circe asks, looking over at me as we walk down the halls of the castle.
"I don't need or want a mate," I tell her.
"Do you not want a mate, because you're still being a whore, jumping from girl to girl?" Circe moves in front of me and starts to walk backward, looking up at me with a smirk. She uses to walk in front of me like this when we were teenagers. After all these years, she hasn't changed. She's still the same carefree friend I grew up with.
"Mind your business Circe and worry bout who you're sleeping around with," I tell her, looking down into her rare shiny silver eyes. I have never seen such eyes on anyone else before.
"That's probably the only good thing about not hanging out with you all the time. I get to sleep around, without you scaring my boyfriends away, by threatening to kill them." She says.
"I was doing you a favor. Those guys weren't good for you." Circe has terrible taste in guys. She falls for the bad boy type. The kind that only wants one thing. I know that kind very well because I was that type.
"Whatever." She takes her spot back next to me before we turn onto the next hall.
I follow Tammy's scent, leading us to the laundry room, where I find her taking clothes out the dryer.
"So which one of these poor women is your mate?" Circe asks looking around the laundry room at all the women, washing, and drying clothes.
All the females in the room look over at me, slightly bowing their heads.
"Lady's excuse us." All the females stop what they are doing, and leave the laundry room. Everyone except Tammy. She continued to take her clothes out the dryer, putting them in the basket in her hand.
"She's human." Circe looks at Tammy for a second, before looking over at me.
"An hour hasn't passed yet, so what do you want Blake?" Tammy glare over at me.
"She's beautiful and feisty. Why don't you want her Blake, I like her already." Circe says smiling.
"I didn't bring you here to make friends Circe, can you get this over with now," I tell her.
"Hi, I'm Circe, the queen of the witches." Tammy looks at her, waiting for her to get to the point. "I'm going to get rid of your mate bond," Circe tells her, walking over to Tammy.
"How?" Tammy ask.
"Magic," Circe says causing a look of worry to cross Tammy's face. "You don't have to worry about anything. It won't hurt." Circe gives her a reassuring smile.
"Okay." Tammy gives her a nod, siting the basket down. Circe motioned for me to come over. I make my way over to them and stop a few inches away from Circe. Circe stands between Tammy and me. She reaches up and places one hand on both of our chests.
Circe takes in a deep breath, slowly exhaling. Those silver eyes of hers started to fade away until her eyes were completely white. I can feel her magic flowing through me, causing my body to heat up a little.
A deep frown appeared on Circe's face and the silver iris of her eyes come back. She drops her hands and looks over at Tammy's neck. "You already marked her. Why did you mark her if you didn't want to be with her?" She looks back over at me.
"Is that a problem?" I ask.
"Yeah, I assumed you didn't mark her, seeing that you don't want to be together. Your souls are one now. Half of your soul is fused with hers, and half of hers with yours. If I attempt to rip your souls apart, there's a high chance that you will survive it Blake, but you won't be the same person. Maybe just an emotionless shell."
"He's already that, so he'll be the exact same person when you're done," Tammy says shrugging as she folds her arms across her chest. I glare at her but don't say anything as Circe continues to explain.
"You're a human. You won't survive this." Circe tells Tammy. "I may even be hurt in the process. I may be powerful, but the power of a soul is something we could never fathom. Only gods are meant to tamper with such a thing." Circe tells us.
Circe was the only one who could've helped with this. If only I would've thought of this before I marked her. Now I'm stuck with her.
"The most I can do is put a temporary blockage up, but it won't last long. The blockage will probably only last a day maybe two.." She tells us. Even if it's a couple of minutes, I will take it, if that means I don't have to be near Tammy.
