Blake POV
As the days slowly pass the pull of mate bond continued to grow stronger. It has gotten to the point where it's hard for me to stay in the same room and watch the way Andy looks at her, the way he touches her, and smells his scent on her. The bond wants me to claim what's mine.
I know the pull isn't as strong for her as it is for me, but I know she's feeling it. Sometimes I can feel her eyes on me when I'm not looking. She may not think I know, but I can feel when she's watching me. I find myself stealing glances over at her while she eats in the dining hall. It's the effect of the bond causing me to do these things.
I thought about leaving the castle to get away from the pull, but this is my home. I will not let her run me away. If anyone is going to leave it will be her. Soon all of this will be over. One more day, then I'll take the alpha kings mate. And once I kill him, Tammy can leave.
I leave out of the castle, skipping breakfast. I have been spending the past days in the prison, punishing the alphas, using the strong stench of their blood to drown out Tammy's scent.
I look around at the all cars parked in the parking spaces of the castle. Each passing day, more and more wolves are arriving here. Fred said when I left there was war after war amongst the packs. Packs were getting wiped out, so wolves started to leave the packs to live amongst the humans. Things must have gotten really bad if wolves were willing to go rogue.
Now that I'm back, the wolves that went rogue are coming here. The wolves may fear me, but at the same time, they also know that they are safe here as long as they respect and obey my laws.
I head into the prison, walking into the cell with the alphas. When they see me, they let out low growls, flashing teeth. I look at them covered in dried blood, seeing that they have healed again.
I walk over and grab one of the silver blades off the wall. "Did you mutts really think that silver box was going to hold me forever?" I glare over at them hanging there.
"It would've if everything went as plan." Alpha Thompson says glaring back at me.
I slowly walk over to alpha Thompson, His eyes go down to the silver blade in my hand, before looking back up at me.
"Even if it took me three hundred years to claw through the walls of that box, I would've gotten out." I bring the silver blade up, slowly dragging the sharp edge across the side of his face. I can hear the sizzling burning sound, as the silver slightly cut into his flesh.
His jaw clenches down, keeping his head in place. He holds my gaze, taking the pain.
"I'll die before I beg you for my life." He spits at my feet in a sign of disrespect. I grip the handle of the silver blade, thinking about ending him now by shoving the blade into his neck and watch him bleed out.
I loosen my grip on the handle of the blade. "We'll see about that." I leave out the cell, going to the cell that alpha Thompson mate's in.
"What are you doing! Let her go!" Alpha Thompson sons growl out. They watch me grab their mother by her arm, dragging her out her cell.
I take her into the cell with the alphas. "What were you saying, you'll die before you beg for your life." I force his mate to her knees, bringing the blade to the side of her face. "Beg for your life." I glare over at him.
"Let her go!" His words come out through clenched teeth, as he jerks at the chains, glaring at me.
I place the side of the silver knife against her face, causing her to scream out as the silver burn her flesh. "Beg!"
He glares at me for a second, before looking down at his mate. "Please let me live my king." His words come out low.
"I can't hear you!" I growl out.
"Please let me live!!" He glares up at me. His breathing picks up and his eyes turn black. I hear a bone snap as he gets ready to shift. I watch, knowing if he shifts while chained up in that position, his arms will be ripped clean out their sockets.
He stops the shift and drops his head, helpless. I pull the side of the blade from the side of his mate's face.
"W-why are y-you doing this?" She sob, holding the side of her face. I honestly get no satisfaction for her pain, but the pain I cause her mate by making her hurt is what I get satisfaction from.
"From the looks of things, I may appear to be some ruthless savage." I look down at her, knowing that's exactly what I am, a ruthless savage. "But you should be used to that, seeing that you're mated to one. I'm sure he didn't tell you about how he tried to kill my family, innocent people. So I'm just returning the favor. He brought this onto you, so whatever happens to you, your mate is the one to blame." I actually pity her, but my pity only goes so far.
They are the descendants of the first alpha wolves. They are the strongest of their bloodline. They were supposed to lead by example, showing the other alphas how to lead a pack. But instead they helped to bring chaos amongst the wolves.
An alpha will always put their pack first, but the way they used their packs as puns to distract me, makes them unworthy to lead any pack. They may have been young alphas when it all happened, but that does not excuse their actions. Their fathers prepared them to lead the main packs, and while doing so, I'm sure their fathers told them where they stand when it comes to me. But they still chose to go against me, thinking they would win.
I stay in the prison all day, continuing to give the alphas beaten after beating, as they continue to heal. Once the sun goes down, I leave the prison, heading into the quite castle, going up to my room. I go into the bathroom and take a quick shower, getting the alpha's blood off. I leave out the bathroom, to see Vicky laying on the bed. She smiles as her eyes scan over my body.
Vicky has been meeting me in my room around this time every night, since the night that I ran into her in the halls of the castle. The sex with Vicky helps a little. The smell of her arousal helps block out Tammy's scent. Sometimes Adam sneaks to my room late at night, so I tell Vicky to leave. Even though that kid talks way too much, sometimes I find myself looking forward to his visits to my room.
"I'm not in the mood tonight Vicky." I walk into the closet, sliding on some gray sweat pants. I leave out the closet, walking over taking a seat on the edge of the bed.
She positioned herself behind me on her knees, wrapping her arms around my neck. "We can lay here and talk if you like." She leans over, placing a kiss on the side of my face.
"Don't ruin what we have, by trying to connect with me emotionally." We have nothing to talk about. I don't need for her to get emotionally attached to me. I don't know how long it has been since she lost her mate, but I'm not the one to fill that hole for her.
Things go silent for a few seconds.
"I guess I'll see you tomorrow night then." I give her a nod. She places another kiss on my cheek, before getting off the bed, leaving the room.
I lay here staring up at the ceiling, unable to sleep. I look over at the clock to see that it's 1:22 a.m. I let out a sigh, sitting up, getting out the bed. Maybe a run will relax my mind, helping me sleep.
I leave out the castle, taking in a breath of the fresh night air. I look up at the full moon. It lights casting a glow on everything that it touches. I head deep into the dark forest, drowning out all the sounds of the insects and small animals. Only focusing on the low thumps of my feet steps.
As I get ready to shift a cool breeze blow, carrying an all too familiar scent with it. A scent that I know very well. Tammy scent. I frown, wondering what she's doing in the forest at this time of the night.
I can't go on a simple run without her ruining it.
I start to follow her scent through the forest until I start to approach the spring. I stay in the shadows of the trees, watching her in the water, unable to take my eyes off her. The light of the moon, casting a glow on the sparkling blue water as she swims around. One may think the water was her natural habitat from the way she gently glides through the water, without so much of a splash.
I remember we use to come here on nights like this to swim when she couldn't sleep. She swims over under the waterfall, tilting her head back, letting the water hit her face. She stays like that for about a minute, before she starts to swim around again. She always did that, I never asked why. I would just smile, watching her have her moment.
I don't know how much time has passed, while I stand here watching her swim.
I watch her swim over, getting out the water. My eyes scan over her wet body, looking at the red bra and panties she's wearing. As much as I want to look away, I can't. It's like my feet have grown roots, holding me in place, unable to leave even if I tried.
She walks over to her pile of clothes. I swallow the lump in my throat as thoughts of her start to fill my mind. I watch her bend down to grab her clothes, but I realize that it's not her clothes that she's reaching for. She quickly spins around, throwing a blade my way. The blade pierces into the tree right next to me.
She knows I'm here.
"I know you're there. I may not be able to see you, but I can see your stupid eyes glowing in the dark. Stop watching me like some fucking creep." She glares over in my direction. My jaws clench down, reaching over pulling the blade out the tree.
"Stop throwing these fucking knives at me!" I growl out, stepping out from the shadows of the trees, walking towards her, until I'm only a few feet away.
"Give me my knife so I can go, I'm sure I can find something better to waste my time on, other than you." She reaches down, grabbing her clothes, before holding her hand out for the blade.
"Choose your next words carefully. I could end you here and now, get rid of your body and cover your scent. No one will ever know." I glare down at her.
She let out a sound of irritation. "Just give me my knife." She says calmly, keeping her hand out as if my threat meant nothing. Every altercation that we've had since she has been here, I never once smelt a drop of fear roll off of her. Anyone else would've been soaked in fear, but she isn't.
I look down at the blade in my hand, before glaring back up at her. I throw the blade into the air and watch it pierce into one of the highest branches.
"If you want it, go get it," I say, unable to stop the smirk that tugged at the corner of my lips.
She looks up at the blade, stuck high in the tree. She looks back over at me with that killer look in her eyes. That calmness she once just had has left. Now her face is covered with a cold glare, that would probably strike fear into anyone else. She drops her clothes back to the ground, before quickly throwing a punch at my face.
I step back dodging her attack, but she doesn't stop, she keep coming after me. Punch after punch, kick after kick. I dodge and block all her attacks. The second she leaves herself open, I push her, knocking her to the ground.
"You're pathetic." I glare down at her.
The glare leaves her face. She let out a sigh, defeated. She slowly stands up from the ground. Her hand quickly shoots out towards me. Before I realized what she just did, the dirt already hit my face, getting into my eyes, blinding me.
The second the dirt hit my eyes, she delivered a hard blow to my face, followed by two hard blows, causing me to stumble back. Unable to see, I use my hearing to detect her next attack. I hear her next punch coming towards my face but quickly slaps her fist away, causing her to miss.
I blink away the dirt, getting my visions back. A deep growl rumbles from my chest as I grab her by her throat. I quickly move her across the forest floor, slamming her hard against the trunk of a tree. I feel her legs give away, but I hold her up by her throat.
She reaches up, grabbing my wrist, causing those tingles to start to shoot up my arm. I had every intention to rip her throat out just a second ago, but the urge to rip her throat out is suddenly gone. I loosen my grip from around her throat, staring down into her eyes as those pleasurable tingles continue to make their way up my arm.
Blinded by the effects of the pull, sending me into a trance. I crash my lips down on hers. But I'm not alone. She reaches down, grabbing my waist, pulling me closer, kissing me back. My hands start to roam over her body, while I place a trail of kisses from her jawline down to her neck, causing a low moan to escape her lips.
Seconds later she lets out a scream, pushing me away, snapping me out of the trance. My eyes go wide as I realize what I have just done. I quickly pull my elongate teeth out her neck, backing away, wiping her blood from my mouth.
I marked her!
All her anger, hate, and pain started to flow through me. BJ was right, she may not show it, but I did her hurt her.
