BJ POV
Alia hasn't been herself since she found out about her family. She hasn't left the room and she has barely eaten anything. Throughout the night I can hear her low sobs, until she finally falls asleep. I hate seeing her this way and not being able to do anything to help.
"I'm going to get your mother and brother out some way." I take a seat on the edge of the bed behind her as she lay on her side with her back facing me. This is pretty much all she has been doing, laying in bed. I know she's hurting right now. I just need to give her some time, and be here for her while she's mourning her father's death. But if father kills her mother and brother it will only make things worst.
"Don't lie to make things better. You talk to your father already and he's told you what he's going to do." Her voice comes out a bit shaky. I watch from behind her as She reaches up, wiping her eyes.
I reach over, moving her hair behind her ear so I can see her face better. I feel an ache in my chest, seeing her puffy red eyes.
"I'm sorry." My words come out low. I wasn't trying to make things better by lying. I should've worded that statement differently and told her I'll try to get them out. I don't want to get her hopes up, only to let her down. Because there's a chance that they won't be leaving alive.
I'll talk to my father again. I've been trying to figure out a way to convince father to let her mother and brother out. Maybe if I do as he said and just ask, instead of demanding him, Or maybe I can get Lisa to ask him. Just like any other father, he seems to have a soft spot for his little girl. Anyone with eyes can see that.
"BJ I'm ready." Adam walks into the room. I told him that I would teach him to ride his dirt bike today. I look over at the door to see him smiling excitedly, wearing all his protective gear.
"I'll be back in a little." I lean down, placing a kiss on the side of her head. I don't want to leave her, but I'm sure she wants a little time to herself.
Adam skip next to me, carrying his helmet in his hands, keeping up with my long strides as we make our way through the castle.
"Frank brought you guys bikes here, they're out back waiting for us." Adam looks up at me beaming me a smile. I can smell the excitement rolling off him.
"I know, I told him to go get them." I let out a low chuckle, seeing how happy he are. Adam had been asking for a dirt bike for a while now, but mother said he had to wait until he got his wolf. But when he asked me to get him one, I couldn't say no. Khloe, Lisa, and I give Adam pretty much anything he wants.
Khloe, Lisa, and I moved out a while before Adam was born, so we're not really around him every moment like Khloe, Lisa, and I was growing up. So I guess we try to make up for it by spoiling him.
We make our way out back where I see Khloe, Lisa, and a few others from my pack joking around. Adam runs over to where Freddy, Frank, Fin, and Jackson are and stand next to his bike. I walk over to Adam and start to help him with his helmet.
"We're about to head into the forest," Freddy tells me as he put his helmet on, starting his bike up.
"I'll keep your bike nice and warm for you," Jackson says smirking, grabbing my helmet off my bike putting it on. All four of them take off racing towards the forest. Adam watches them with a big smile, not looking away until they disappear behind the thick trees.
I put his helmet on and let the front visor down so nothing will fly into his eyes while he rides. He quickly climbs onto the bike, looking up at me.
"It's just like riding a bicycle, just without pedals. That's the starter." I point down to the starter on the side of the bike. "You stomp dow-"
"I know I know. I've seen you do it before." He says. I let out a low chuckle and watch him stomp down on the starter, bring the bike to life.
"Now this is the brakes to stop and this is the throttle." I point to them both. He nods his head, paying attention to the things I'm showing him. "Twist the throttle slowly to start moving. The further you twist, the faster you'll go. But we're not trying to go fast so slowly twist a little.....slowly." He twists the throttle, slowly propelling the bike forward. He laughs excitedly, riding the bike, causing me to laugh along with him.
I jog next to him while he rides, just in case, I need to catch him if he falls. I don't want to have to deal with the wrath of our mother. Me jogging next to him turns into a light sprint, as he speeds up a little. We keep this pace for a while before he slowly comes to a stop.
"Come on, lets go into the forest with the other now." He looks over towards the forest. I can't see his face, but from the sound of his voice he's smiling.
"Mother would kill me if I took you riding in the forest." Even if mother was okay with me taking him into the forest, he's not ready to ride in the forest. There's bumps, stumps, logs, etc that he'll have to get over.
"Don't be a vagina BJ." He let the visor on his helmet up, frowning at me.
I frown, a bit shocked. I never heard Adam speak that way.
"Where did you learn that?" I ask him.
"I heard Frank tell Freddy that." He shrugs his shoulders a little. "Is it a bad thing to say?" He asks looking up at me. I have noticed that Adam has started to pick up on some of the things we do and say.
"Yeah, don't repeat the things you hear Frank say. Most likely they are bad." I tell him.
"What's a vagina?" He asks, leaving me stuck, not knowing how to answer that.
"Just don't repeat it. If mother hears you say that, she'll skin you for sure." I tell him.
"Okay." He twists the throttle, propelling the bike forward again. I lightly jog next to him, until I was sure he wasn't going to fall off. Adam rides over to his friends, once he sees that they are out back now. I let out a low chuckle, watching him explain to them how to ride. Telling them everything that I just told him.
"Where's Alia, I haven't seen her since I got here," Khloe says walking over to me.
I let out a sigh. "She's in the room. She's not really up for anything right now."
"What's wrong?" Khloe asks with a raised brow.
"Our father killed her father and has her family locked away," I tell her.
Khloe frown. "Lisa told me what happened to mom, I'm guessing her father was apart of that." I give her a nod. My feelings haven't changed and they won't. I may not voice my opinion to Alia, but her father deserved what he got. Father saved me the trouble of having to kill my mate's father because if he didn't do it, I would have.
"She's hurting and I don't know what to do." I let out a sigh of frustration, not being able to help Alia.
"There's not much you can do, just continue to be there for her," Khloe tells me. I give her a nod and watch as Lisa make her way over to us. Maybe I can make things a little better if I can get her mother and brother out.
"Lisa can you do me a favor?" I ask her. Father has waited seventy years to kill the alphas and their families. If anyone can get him to let them out, it'll be Lisa.
"Sure, " she says.
"Can you to ask father to let Alia mother and brother out. They didn't have anything to do with what her father did." I tell her once they get their excitement out the way.
"Why do you need for me to ask?" Lisa ask.
"I already ask, bu- well it was more of a demand that caused him to say no." If I would've just asked, then maybe they wouldn't be inside those cells right now. But I let my anger towards him get the best of me.
"What do you want me to say?" Lisa ask.
"I don't know. Tell him they are your friends or something, just make up something that will convince him to let them go." Lisa has never met Alia's family so she has no kind of relationship with them, but father doesn't know that.
"I'll come up with something." She tells me.
I give her a nod, before looking back over at Adam. "Keep an eye on Adam while he rides his bike," I tell Khloe and Lisa as I walk off heading back inside to check on Alia.
I head into the dining hall, where members of my pack are starting to have lunch. I walk over to the table, where aunt Sarah and mother are, making them a plate.
"Where's Adam?" Mother asked, looking over at me as I grab a plate.
"He's outback with Khloe and Lisa. They should be bringing him in soon to eat." I tell her.
"I can fix your plate for you Alpha." This female name Abby says, slightly bowing her head.
"It's okay Abby, I can manage." I know that they only want to be helpful, but I don't need them doing everything for me. She gives me a nod, before grabbing her a plate.
"Good to see that you're not letting all of this go to your head. You're going to be a great alpha BJ." Aunt Sarah pat me on the back, giving me a smile.
"Thanks," I say returning her smile as I start to place food on the plate for Alia. Alia literally only had like four bites of the breakfast that I brought her this morning. I try to get her to eat as much as I can, I don't want her to start losing weight.
"How's Alia doing?" Mother asks. I can see the sympathy in her eyes, as she looks at me. I talked to her and Andy yesterday about everything because I have no clue how to make things better for Alia. They pretty much told me the same thing that Khloe did.
"Pretty much the same as yesterday," I tell her.
"She's going through the grieving process, just give her some time, things will go back to normal." I give her a nod. I know things will go back to normal. I just Don't want for her to start getting better, only for father to take her back to this state by killing her mother and brother.
I walk into the bedroom to see that Alia is in the same position as if she hadn't moved at all. I walk over and take a seat on the edge of the bed. "I got you some food."
"I'm not hungry BJ." She says, not turning around to look at me. If it wasn't from my heightened hearing, then I probably wouldn't have heard her.
"You haven't eaten much the past two days. Can you just have a little?" I say, pleading with her.
She moves the covers down a little as she slowly sits up. I sit the plate in front of her and watch her pick the fork up. I just need for her to eat a little, even if it's just a few bites like this morning.
I place my hand on her leg while she eats. I stay quiet, not knowing what to say. I don't want to say something that will make her think about her family and start to cry, causing her to stop eating. She needs to eat so I'll just sit here with her and not say anything.
She eats almost half of the food on the plate. It's not much, but it's more than what she ate this morning. She places the plate on the bedside table, before laying back down in the same position, on her side with her back facing me. I let out a sigh, standing up. I grab the plate to take it back down to the dining hall.
"Can you lay with me BJ?" Her words come out in a whisper. I sit the plate back down and get into the bed with her. She turns towards me, resting her head on my chest. I wrap my arms around her, laying here silently, feeling her body relax as she inhales my scent.
After about an hour, she finally falls asleep in my arms. She hasn't slept much in the last two days, so I know she must be tired.
"BJ I tried to convince father to release Alia family, but he's really set on killing them all. I'm not saying he's right, but I do understand where he's coming from. He's pretty much doing exactly what they tried to do to him." Lisa tells me through the mind link. I understand where he's coming from too. When I first found out what they did to mother, I didn't care that father was going to kill them all. But it hurts me to see Alia this way.
I guess there's nothing I can do about this. I just have to let time sort this out and just be here with her while she goes through all of this.
