After Lucious leaves to get the herbs that his mother needs, I spend the rest of the day alone in the house. I could've gotten the herbs for his mother, he didn't have to go there to get herbs. I just don't want Lucious to do anything that will cause problems.
Lucious promised me that he wouldn't kill anyone for those herbs and I believe he will hold true to his word.
I Don't know much about those mountain pack, but from listening to the things that Jax's was saying, they Don't seem to be very friendly people.
If Lucious can't get the herbs from one of those packs, then I will get them from father or Andy. Lucious will just have to put his ego aside and take the herbs from my family. I Don't want Lucious's mother to die. I Don't want to see Lucious hurt over the loss of his mother. These herbs can help her, so I will get them for her if Lucious can't.
The next day I get dressed and grab my coat and scarf and head out to take a walk. I can't be cooped up inside bored and alone like yesterday. I need some fresh air.
Forgetting to grab my gloves to keep my hands warm, I slide my hands into my coat pockets as I walk along the sidewalk through the streets.
I pass by members of the pack as I walk and it's the same way as it was durn the pack dinner. I Don't receive any growls or flash of teeth. They just look at me, but the second I make eye contact with them, they look away.
I don't want them to respect me because they fear that I'll kill them. I Don't want to kill them. I Don't want to kill anyone.
I let out a sigh, I guess this is better than having to deal with their bullshit all the time.
I continue to walk along the snowy sidewalk, ignoring those that I pass.
My thoughts go to Lucious, wondering when he'll be back. The mountains are a long way from here, so there's no telling when he will return if he has to visit multiple packs about those herbs.
As I walk, I see Lucious uncle Jax heading my way.
"Luna." He slightly bows his head to me, like he always does. "Where are you headed?" He turns and starts to walk next to me.
"Just going for a walk," I tell him.
"That advice you shared with me to help solve that problem with being predictable was really helpful. I'm heading to the pack warriors training session and I want for you to come and tell me what you think of my training of the pack warriors." He says.
I let out a sigh. "No thank you. I'm just going to go for a walk." They make me feel unwanted here enough durn the pack dinner. I rather avoid having to be around them when I Don't have to.
"It'll be good for you. You can get to know them and they can get to know you this way." He tells me.
"I'm sure none of them wants to get to know me," I say, looking across the street at the people walking.
"Despite what you may think, but Not everyone here holds ill feelings towards you, you know. Most of them haven't approached or spoken to you out of respect for the others who lost mates and family members to the hands of you and your family. Some of them have this foolish concern of being labeled as a trader by the others if they befriend you as their Luna." Jax tells me.
Thinking about what he's saying, I guess not everyone here has taunted me in a way or picked a fight with me. Some just stand by and watch.
"You never have seemed to be concerned about the respect of those who lost mates and family, or being labeled as a trader." Jax and Maggie have always been kind to me.
"I respect the way the others feel, but I'm not going to not talk to you because someone else doesn't want me to talk to you. After all, I am an alpha male, and being a follower and doing what others want me to do isn't in my nature." He says, slightly shrugging.
"But you follow Lucious and his orders," I say, looking over at him.
"That's different, he's family and my wolf is okay with following Lucious as its alpha," Jax tells me. I guess that makes sense. "So are you going to come to the training session?" He asks again.
"I guess I have nothing better to do," I tell him after thinking about it for a second.
I head over to the large building with Jax, where my trials took place. I walk into the building with Jax, where many males and females are training. Some in hand to hand combat and others in wolf form.
Many of them stop what they're doing and look over at Jax and I. I'm sure they're probably wondering why I'm in here.
"No one said to stop what you're doing," Jax says, causing everyone to continue with their training.
"What do you think of the pack warriors?" Jax removes his coat, standing next to me looking at the pack warriors train.
I look around, watching, and observing their movements and the way they attack. I'm no expert at these things. I guess there's nothing wrong, It's just not the way uncle Fred trained us.
"It's just different from what my uncle taught us." I'm sure many packs and wolves have a different way of fighting and their way is just different from how uncle Fred taught us to fight.
"Different?" Jax asks, looking over at me with a raised brow.
"It's just all different. The way they move and attack is different. This isn't the way my uncle taught us to fight." I look over at Jax, before looking back at the warriors.
"What style of training?" Jax asks.
"My uncle trained us the way my father trained him. My uncle may be a wolf, but my father trained him to fight and move like a Lycan, pushing him past the limits of a werewolf and my uncle trained me, my brother and cousins, the same way my father trained him." I explain to Jax.
"I guess that explains why the beta wolf I fought was much stronger than what a beta wolf should be. This training that you speak of, can you help me with training our pack warriors?" Jax asks.
I frown a little, shaking my head as I watch everyone train. "I'm no teacher, I don't have the patience for it. The training is difficult and for wolves, it is best learned as newly shifted juveniles." I tell him.
"Why is that?" He asks.
"When shifted Lycans body have this flexibility naturally, allowing us to turn and twist at angles that wolves bodies can't. But newly shifted wolves bodies, muscles, and bones are still developing and have flexibility for growth. Instead of letting them lose this flexibility over time, this training helps to increase it, training their bodies to be more flexible like a lycans body when shifted in their wolf form. This training is difficult as is, but It will be even more difficult for these males and females to learn to move this way now that their bodies have lost that window of flexibility." I've seen BJ working with his pack and those wolves were really struggling with the training. They have lost the flexibility and their bodies just can't twist and turn certain ways now.
"I want to start the newly shifted juveniles with this training. For the others, Can you give me pointers to start with?" Jax asks.
I look at the pack warriors and let out a sigh, knowing this will be a long difficult road for him.
"Sure," I tell him.
"Everyone! Get over here!" Jax yells over, calling everyone over to us.
"Kain and Phil I want you two to sparr for the Luna and I want the rest of you to watch." Everyone gathers around, watching.
I watch as the two young males take their stance. They circle each other for a second before they both move quickly, attacking each other, taking unnecessary blows that could easily be avoided with the right movement.
"Stop," Jax tells the two young males after a few minutes. They both stop, breathing heavily, trying to catch their breath.
Jax looks over at me, waiting for me to say something.
I look at the two males for a moment before removing my coat. "You can move fast now, but you need to remember that you're not the only one who is moving at high speeds, so is your opponent. So speed will do you no good if you're not making the right movements." I tell them what uncle Fred once told us as I walk over to the two young males, stopping in front of them while everyone else watches.
"Its call the shadow movement, watch my feet, and the way I move." I take my stance and start to move around as the two young males look down at my feet, watching closely.
"This isn't a dance class." Someone says, causing some of the others to laugh.
I stop and look over at this beta male who's standing there smirking. "You think you can do better?" I say to the male as he stands there smirking with his arms folded across his chest like he's cool for saying what he said.
"maybe." He says with a shrug.
"Well, how bout you give me a round and show me Mr. bigshot" I fold my arms, mimicking that stupid smirk on his face.
I hear a couple of oouuu's in the crowd
"Nah, I'm good." He says shaking his head.
"Scared?" I ask with a raised brow.
"Nah, I just don't want to have to answer to the alpha for putting hands on his mate." He's concerned about Lucious doing something to him.
"Let's say that you do manage to land an attack, whatever happens here in this building, stays here," I tell him.
His friends standing with him, slightly push at him, hyping him.
He stands there looking at me, trying to decide what he's going to do. "I'll try not to hurt you." That smirk on his face widens as he walks forward.
He takes his stance and I take mine.
I move in a smooth rhythmic pattern as we circle each other, sizing each other up. I watch his footwork, seeing that it's very sloppy.
He attacks, moving quickly.
I move just as fast as him, dodging and blocking every attack he throws at me.
After his misses another attack, I duck and sweep his legs from underneath him, knocking him to the ground.
"What happened to you putting hands on me?" I look down at him with that same smirk he had on his face.
"Yeah yeah whatever, you proved your point." He says sitting up.
I reach out to help him up from the ground. He looks at my hand for a second, before taking it.
I look at all the pack warriors who have gathered around watching. "The footwork of the shadow movement allows you to move and change direction quickly and smoothly, making it easier to dodge attacks and block attacks. Once you have practiced and done the movements enough, your body will grow to remember it and it will become a natural movement for you, even in wolf form." I tell them as I walk back over to Jax.
"All of you get a sparring partner and learn these movements. Everyone will learn this today and no one is leaving until you all get the movements down." Jax tells them all.
"I'm not doing that bullshit." I look over, watching as Tilda walks away, leaving out the building. With so many people being in here, I didn't realize she was here.
The rest of them start to practice the shadow movement, even Jax get him a sparring partner and fight, moving around the way I just showed them all.
I Stand here watching as they move and stop to start again once they lose the rhythm of the movement. Every couple of minutes someone will ask if they are doing it right. A few even came over and asked if I could show them again.
Maybe Jax was right, maybe this can help some of them see that I'm actually a nice person if they just got to know me.
After a couple of hours, they all learn the movements. They all still have to move at a slow pace for now, but with practice, they will learn to move quickly using the shadow movement.
After Jax ends the pack training session for the day, I head back to the house.
I let out a sigh as I head up to the stairs, going up to the room, knowing I'll be sleeping without Lucious again tonight.
I strip down and walk over to the dresser grabbing one of Lucious shirts, putting it on before getting into bed. I inhale Lucious scent from his shirts, closing my eyes to sleep.
