                                Lucious

I sit here in my office, going over a few things as I wait for the firstborn alpha of our bloodline to arrive. After finally getting things situated his pack after the Lycan king took his land back from them, he called me a few weeks ago and agreed to meet with me here.

I'll deal with Lisa's brother myself, but If the fourteen firstborn alphas are willing to help, then the plan I have in mind could work. It won't be easy and they'll be risking their life. but if we plan everything out carefully, then we will bring down the Lycan king.

I don't know much about Lycans, but what I've seen so far for myself shows me that they are much superior to the wolves. They're stronger, fast, and much more agile. They heal at a faster rate and silver doesn't affect their healing the way it does with wolves. And the ability to rise up tall on their hind legs gives them even more of an advantage.

But I've been doing a bit of research on Lycans and I've found that they are affected by wolfsbane the same as wolves are.

The wolfsbane weakens them and stops them from being able to shift. Although they are affected by wolfsbane, the effects of the wolfsbane don't last nearly as long on Lycans as it does with wolves. It says that their bodies are able to burn the wolfsbane away within a couple of minutes, but a couple of minutes could be all the time I need to leave him vulnerable enough for me to rip his fucking head off.

Putting away the papers, I glance over at the blanket laying there on the couch that Lisa uses sometimes when she takes a nap here in the office, while I work.

Things weren't really good between us before she left. She was upset about what happened during the pack dinner and she was even more pissed about me killing that rogue.

She needs to understand the way things work here. She is no longer in her little human world and just because she doesn't agree with something here, doesn't mean she will do whatever she wants, like the way she attacks members of the pack to protect a rogue.

I've constantly been thinking about her. My inner beast has been restless, not liking that Lisa is far away.

I'm sure once she returns, things will be different here for her. I saw the fear in everyone's eyes as they stood there and watched Lisa rip that male and female apart. I'm sure words have spread throughout the pack about the savagery of Lisa's teeth and claws. They all will think twice now before coming for her again.

"Alpha, we've let the guest you're expecting though, he's on his way to your house." The border patrol tells me through the mind link. I stand up from the chair and leave the office, heading out front.

After a few minutes pass, I watch as a black SUV pulls up in the driveway.

The young first-born alpha of our bloodline gets out, along with another bulky alpha male, walking over to me.

"Alpha London." I hold my hand out for him to shake. I don't know him on a personal level, but I've talked with him once before when I went to visit their pack with father.

He gives me a nod, reaching out shaking my hand.

I look over at the other alpha male who's watching me as he stands a few feet behind London.

"This is my uncle." He looks over at the male, before bringing his attention back to me.

I give the male a nod, that he returns.

I lead them both inside, head to the office to discuss why I've asked him to come here.

"Is it true that you're some kind of hybrid of werewolf and vampire?" London asks as we walk into the office.

I make my way over to the desk, taking my seat in the chair.

"Yes." I look at him and his uncle as they watch me.

London frowns a little, looking over at me with curiosity.

"But that's impossible." His frown deepens a bit as he takes the seat in one of the chairs in front of the desk, while his uncle continues to stand.

I can see that his uncle has doubts about me, his guard is up as if he's waiting for something to go wrong.

"Well if it was impossible, then I wouldn't be what I am would I?" I lean back in the chair with my arms resting on the arms of the chair, letting my guard down completely so they can relax also. There's no need for the three of us to try and display who's the most dominant alpha male in the room. I'm sure the two of them know who's the superior one between the three of us.

London looks at me for a second, not saying anything. I watch as he leans back in the chair, letting his guard down. "I always wondered how you and your father held such power. My father and I were the head of our bloodline, but somehow you guys held greater power. I guess you being this hybrid explains things now." He looks at me with a raised brow.

"I guess so," I say, glancing over at his uncle who still hasn't relaxed.

"No one knew of this. Why didn't you tell us?" He asks.

"No one ever asked." I'm sure they all wondered how father and I held such power, but no one outside of the pack ever bothered to ask.

I'm sure they all can smell that there's something different about our scent, but when they smell the alpha blood in us, they just completely ignore that it's something different about it and just assume we're just regular alpha males.

"But enough about me. Why don't we get to why I've asked you here. I asked you to come here because I plan to kill the Lycan king and his family, just as they have killed our fathers. And I could use yours and the other thirteen firstborns help." I watch as London guard goes up as he sits up straight in the chair, no longer relaxed.

London and his uncle both hold this frown on their face, looking at me as if I've said something crazy.

Neither one of them says anything, but it's clear that they're holding a conversation through their mind link.

"My father held a much greater power that I'm yet to hold, and even with all the power my father held, I stood there and watched the Lycan king take him down like it was child's play. I've felt the power that the Lycan king holds and it's more than any of us can take on." He's not letting his fear leak from him, but I can see the fear in his eyes. The Lycan king has put fear into him. His uncle's eyes hold this same fear. They are afraid.

"I have a plan that will work if we all came together the way our father once did," I say, trying to convince him that we can end the Lycan king.

"I'm sure our fathers thought the same thing, but what they thought have gotten them killed. I would like to see him dead, but going up against the Lycan king is a risk I can't take. Before letting us go free, he warned us about trying to avenge our fathers. He said he would finish what he started. He will come back for our families. I can't put my family's lives at risk. I can't help you." He stands up from the chair.

He's afraid and has accepted his place below the Lycan king.

I give him a nod as I stand up from the chair. I see that there's no changing his mind about this.

"Good luck." He says before walking away leaving the office.

My jaws clench as I stand here, knowing there's a good chance that they all are afraid. I'll be getting no help from any of these young firstborns. I needed their help with what I had planned, but I'll now have to find another way.

A deep growl vibrates my chest as I knock everything off the desk.

I look over as uncle Jax walks into the office. He looks down at the stuff on the floor. "I guess things didn't go as expected." He looks at me with a frown.

"They're afraid." My jaws clench. He will never put fear in me, and I will never accept a place below him.

"What do you plan to do now?" Uncle Jax asks, walking over taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of the desk.

"I don't know yet." I frown as I take a seat, thinking.

"Last month I spoke with this friend of mines who's a vampire. He says he was there at the royals palace when the Lycan king and his son showed up there about something. Brock said that the vampire prince Samuel had an altercation there with the Lycan king son. See unlike the vampire king Draven, his brother Samuel holds this strong hate for our kind. Maybe the enemy of your enemy can be an ally." Uncle Jax says.

I've heard about this vampire prince Samuel and his hate for the wolves. He's the son of the first vampire, so he has to hold power that comes close to the Lycan king. Maybe Together we will be more than enough to take the Lycan king on. Maybe, uncle, Jax is right. Maybe he can be an ally.

I sit here thinking about what uncle Jax has said, wondering if this could work.
