Chapter 22

Lisa
I lay here with my eyes closed, unable to really fall asleep. I've grown used to sleeping in Lucious arms and now it feels a bit strange to not have him next to me. I lay here in bed through the night, thinking about Lucious. I may be upset with him, but I still can't keep him out of my thoughts.
I let out a sigh, turning on my side, trying to get comfortable. I can feel the effects of the blood moon pulling at me. The feeling has grown stronger and stronger as the days passed, getting closer to the blood moon. But now know why I've been feeling this way helps a lot.
I was starting to worry, wondering what was wrong with me. And all the crap I've been dealing with there wasn't making things any better. But now I no longer have to wonder why I'm feeling this way, or if something is wrong with me. Now I know it's all because of the blood moon arrival.
My thoughts go to the male and female that I killed. I want to blame it on the effects of the blood moon. Uncle Fred said one of the effects will make us more aggressive, but I know the effects of the blood moon isn't to blame.
Maybe it did play a small part, but overall it was just me growing tired of all the crap they all have given me every day I've been there.
Apart of me feels bad about killing them. They were someone's family, someone's friend, and I've taken them away. But it's done and there's no changing it now.
The next morning, I get out of bed and leave the room, excited to see everyone. It's been months, but it feels much longer.
As I make my way through the beautiful castle, everyone that I pass slightly bows their heads to me, addressing me as princess.
Having to deal with the crap Lucious people have been giving me makes me really appreciate these simple gestures that I'm receiving from the people here. It's like a breath of fresh air to actually feel wanted somewhere again.
A big smile spread across my face when I turn down another hall, seeing Freddy, Frank, and Fin.
Frank walks over, giving me a hug. "We were just on our way to drag you out of bed." He lifts me off the ground, spinning me, causing me to laugh. It's been a long time since I've felt this happiness inside.
Once he put me down, I give Freddy and Fin a hug. "I've missed you guys," I say, unable to stop smiling.
"Go ahead cousin, tell these two shit heads that you missed your favorite cousin the most." Frank smirk, pointing to himself.
I let out a low chuckle, moving next to Fin, putting my arm over his shoulder. "I missed my sweet cousin Fin the most." I smile, placing a kiss on Fin cheek.
Frank put his hand over his heart, making a face as if he's going to cry.
I let out a low chuckle. "Fine, don't be a crybaby. You're still my favorite cousin." I walk over giving him another hug, causing him to smile. I really miss being able to joke around with them this way.
"Where's Mother and father?" I ask them.
"They're down in the dining hall, having breakfast," Freddy tells me.
We all start to make our way through the castle, heading to the dining hall.
"I see there are many more people here now than it was when I left." I look around as we walk through the castle, seeing all the new faces that weren't here before.
"Yeah, lots of wolves started to arrive here after you left. Some of them have come to stay at the castle, but some come just to get a look at uncle Blake. I guess After all the stories people have heard about uncle Blake, they want to see the Lycan king for themselves." Freddy says.
"This place is filled with hot females. Too bad we'll be leaving soon." Frank says causing me to shake my head. I guess I should expect Frank to say something like that.
"Leaving?" I ask with a raised brow.
"We'll be going to our pack land that BJ got for the pack soon," Frank tells me.
"Oh yeah," I say, remembering that BJ did tell me that he bought land and was getting houses and things built for his pack. I'll go to visit them all there after they've settled in.
Walking through the dining hall doors, I smile when I see mother and father sitting at the end of the table.
"Lisa!" Adam gets up from his seat at the table with the other kids and runs over to me, wrapping his arms around me.
I let out a low chuckle, hugging him back. "Did you miss me?" I ask.
"I did." He looks up at me with a smile.
"I missed you too." I give him a smile, reaching out ruffling his hair.
Mother and father both come over to me, giving me a hug. As I hug them, I have to stop myself from crying happy tears.
I've been gone with Lucious for months, but it still doesn't feel like home there. But here with my family feels like home. I can feel the love for me here. All I feel there is hate.
I continue to smile as uncle Fred, aunt Sarah, and uncle Tim comes over to me, giving me a hug. When uncle Tim step to the side after giving me a hug, my jaw drop. I look at BJ and Alia coming over to me. She has a little round stomach.
"Y-you're pregnant," I say, staring at her little round belly with wide eyes, stocked.
"I am." She let out a low chuckle, giving me a hug.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I frown looking at them both.
I've talked to all of them many times and not once did any of them mention that BJ and Alia are having a baby. "Frank you suppose to be my favorite cousin, but you're keeping things from me." I glare over at him. Frank tells me everything, even things he doesn't suppose to tell anyone. He can't keep a secret to save his life.
"I wanted to tell you, but BJ used that command on me, forcing me to not spill the beans." He shrugs.
"We wanted to surprise you and I know Frank talks too much," BJ says, putting his arm around Alia.
"Well, I'm definitely surprised." I look at Alia's belly again. "I'm going to be an aunt," I say mostly to myself, smiling, causing the others to laugh at my reaction.
"Come on, let get you some food." Mother says.
We all head over to the table and a plate of food is brought over to me by a female.
"Thank you," I tell the female. She slightly bows her head to me, before walking away.
Being there with Lucious and his pack, I've grown used to waiting in line for my food when we have pack dinner every Saturday. I don't really mind waiting in line. It's not like I've never waited in line for something before. But waiting in line there comes with problems. The whole time I wait in line, I'm arguing and stopping them from breaking line, forcing their way in front of me. It's just a lot of crap I have to deal with there.
It feels nice to not have to deal with all of that just to eat.
"So this is your look?" I smile over at father, seeing him in his fancy custom made suit that fits him perfectly.
BJ let out a chuckle. "He looks like he's going to a damn business meeting every day dressed like that."
"I told you that this is the look of a real man. You just worry about keeping those tight jeans that you wear from digging into your ass." Father says, causing us to laugh. I can see that father and BJ have been bonding.
"How have you been feeling?" Father asks as we begin to eat.
"I've been on edge the past few weeks. My inner beast feels irritated and restless. At moments it's hard to hold the beast back from taking control. Sometimes I get this sudden rush causing my heart to race and my body heats up." I tell him. I feel on edge now, but now that I'm not confused as to why this is happening, the overwhelming feeling is more tolerable now.
"It's the power of the blood moon flowing through you. All this that you feel will continue to increase as the blood moon grow closer. On the day of the blood moon, those feelings won't come and go the way they do now. They will be there the whole day and much more intense than what you're feeling now. There's a good chance that you're going to lose control during this blood moon, so you'll need to be locked away." He explains, telling me some of the things uncle Fred told BJ and me a few years back.
I take in a calming breath, hearing that what I'm feeling will be much more intense on the day of the blood moon. I can barely tolerate it all now.
I can see that mother and BJ are feeling the effects of the blood moon. BJ is constantly tapping his slightly elongated black claws against the table, while mother constantly runs her fingers through her hair. But father seems fine.
"Do you not feel the effects of the blood moon?" I ask.
"I can feel the pull of the blood moon, but it doesn't affect me the way it once did. Your next blood moon won't be this intense. With each blood moon, your beast and body with adapt to it. It's your uncle Tim's second blood moon and he's not struggling as much with the pull of the blood moon this time." Father tells me.
I look over at uncle Tim who's sitting at the other end of the table, eating food from his mate's hands. He does look to be fine. I guess my next blood moon will be better.
I sit here talking and laughing, listening to them all tell me things that I've missed since I've been gone. It nice to sit and talk with them after only being able to talk to them through a phone call.
After having breakfast, I make my way through the castle with Adam, heading out back so he can play in the snow with the other kids.
"Where's dad?" I ask, not seeing Andy here. I talk to Andy a couple of days ago and he and Adam both were visiting Andy's family pack again.
Andy may not be my biological father, but he has been the only father that I've known for a really long time. Andy has raised and loved BJ and I just as he has loved his own daughter Khole. I may have my biological father now, but that doesn't change or take away anything Andy has done for us.
"He had to go get some things from our old house, but he'll be back tomorrow," Adam tells me as we leave out the back door. I look around, watching the kids play in the snow, while some of them slide across the frozen water in the pool.
"How was it at dad's family pack?" I ask Adam, watching as he lay down on the snow and start to make a snow angel.
It had been many years since Andy had seen or spoken to his family. BJ told me what Andy had told him and I was pretty shocked to hear that Andy's oldest brother tried to kill him because he felt that Andy had taken his birthright to lead the pack as the next alpha. And in the end, Andy killed his older brother while everyone just stood there and watched.
That had to damage Andy mentally, being forced to kill your own flesh and blood.
"The people there are really nice. I met my granddad and my grandma. I have one aunt and four uncles, but two of my uncles have their own packs now. Dad is going to take me to meet them too." Adam stands up, looking down at the snow angel he made.
"Are you going to leave again?" Adam asks, looking up at me with this sadness in his eyes.
"I'll have to leave, but I'll be back to visit you. Maybe one day you can even come to visit me." I say, trying to cheer him up.
"When I join BJ's pack, I'm not going to leave when I find my mate and she's not going to make me." He says with a frown.
I let out a low chuckle. "You don't have to worry about that buddy. She'll come and join BJ's pack with you." Even if Adam was okay with joining his mate pack when he finds her, I highly doubt that her alpha will be okay with Adam joining his pack. Adam will be a strong alpha male and the alpha will be threatened by him.
I lay down next to snow angel that Adam made in the snow, and make a snow angel myself.
