Chapter 21

Lisa
I lay here on the bed on my laptop. I haven't left the room yet today, not wanting Lucious to say anything to me. He's always silent when his pack is being assholes to me, so don't say anything to me now.
He's alpha and he needs to control his people. He sat there silent last night at dinner and watched me barely manage to keep my inner beast for taking control. If I would've lost control many of them wouldn't have left that building alive.
But I'm sure Lucious wouldn't have cared if people were killed last night. He wants for me to kill. He has told me many times now that killing one of them just to make an example out of them will make them respect me as luna of the pack. He says it's what needs to be done.
I frown thinking about it all. Thinking about the way the people here treat me. Other than Lucious, Maggie, Jax, and Nakel, no one seems to want me here and they make sure to let me know with growls, glares, and a flash of teeth.
I never asked for any of this. I never wanted to be apart of a pack. I never wanted to be a Luna. I just wanted to find my mate one day and be happy, but all of this came with finding my mate. A mate that doesn't seems to care about how his people treat me.
These thoughts cause that suddenly rush to slowly build up as anger fills me. I take in slow breaths, trying to calm myself.
I get off the bed, deciding to go for a walk in the forest to get some fresh air and calm down.
I grab my coat and leave the room. Heading down the stairs, I see Lucious coming up. I zip my coat up, ignoring him.
"Where are you going?" He asks.
"Out." I roll my eyes passing by him as I head down the stairs. I open the front door, leaving out, not giving him a chance to say anything else.
I take in a breath of fresh air as I walk, looking down at my feet, sinking into the soft snow with each step.
I take in a deep breath of the cold air, trying to push away this on-edge feeling. I continue to look down at my feet, watching the snow, ignoring the people that I pass as I head to the forest.
"Lisa." I hear Nakel voice call out to me as I get closer to the forest. I look back, seeing him heading towards me with four others.
"Where are you headed?" He asks. I look at his black eye, seeing that it looks better.
"Into the forest for a walk." I look over at the other four juveniles who are looking at me strangely.
"Can we join you?" He asks.
"Sure," I tell him as I begin to walk again, heading to the forest with them.
"These are my friends. Meg, Carl, Lonnie, and Tia." He points to each of them, walking next to him.
"Hey," I say, giving them all a friendly smile as they continue to look at me. They all speak back, giving me a wave as we head into the forest.
As we walk, Carl chases Tia in circles around the rest of us, until he finally catches her. It clear that they have a crush on each other. They're constantly smiling and lightly bumping against each other as they walk side by side. I smile, watching them tease each other. Maybe they'll turn out to be mates.
I look up at the tall snow-covered trees as we walk. The forest is one of the best things about this place. Even durn the cold snowy winter, the forest still holds this calmness to it, this calmness that always relaxes me.
"Ask her." Meg lowly whisper to Nakel, slightly nudging him.
"Ask me what?" I look over at Meg, wondering what she wants Nakel to ask me.
"Um...um.." Meg says looking down nervously. "Well non of us ever saw a Lycan in real life before and we were wondering if you could show us what a Lycan look like when shifted?" I guess that explains why they all have been looking at me strangely. They're curious about Lycans.
They all look at me, waiting for my answer. I look at them, not sensing their inner wolves, letting me know that non of them have shifted yet.
"When do you guys get your wolves?" I ask, already knowing that Nakel will get his wolf soon.
"I'll be shifting in about two more weeks," Carl says.
"I Shift next month," Meg says.
"Next week," Lonnie says.
"I shift next month also," Tia tells me.
I give them a nod, hearing that they all will be getting their wolves soon. "I'll make you guys a deal. Once you all get your wolves, we'll all shift together."
"Okay." They all say, smiling excitedly.
"I told y'all she was cool," Nakel says, smirking over at them.
I let out a low chuckle as they start to agree with Nakel.
They ask me questions as we walk deeper into the forest, wanting to know more about me. It's kinda weird the way they address me as Luna. It's away been Lisa my whole life, but the second any of them say, Luna, I know they're talking to me.
Hearing the sound of growls in the distance, I look ahead and see two wolves quickly making their way through the trees, their large paws kicking up snow. I look a few yards behind them to see four wolves running after them.
"Those are rogues!" Nakel voice holds this panic, looking at the scene in front of him with wide eyes, pointing at the two wolves who are running away.
"They're going to kill them. I don't want to see." Tia grabs Carl's arm, looking away.
"Go back now," I tell them all. They shouldn't be out here with this.
Not saying anything, they all turn and start to run.
I watch as the for wolves close in on the two wolves who are trying to get away.
I frown, remembering how other wolves didn't like Freddy, Frank, and Fin because they were rogues because they weren't apart of a pack. I use to hate the way wolves looked down on them just because they had a title as rogues. Just because someone Isn't apart of a pack, that doesn't mean you have to hate them.
I watch as they get to the two wolves, sinking teeth and claws into them.
The two wolves fight, trying to get the four wolves off, but they're outnumbered.
I watch the four wolves' violent rip away chunks of flesh from the two wolves. They're going to kill them.
"Stop!" I yell at them as I head towards the fight. I'm not going to stand here and watch them kill these wolves over a stupid reason like cross onto pack territory. It's clear that they aren't here to cause trouble if they're running away scared.
"Stop!" I yell again as they continue to rip at the wolves, trying to kill them. The wolves were running away, all they had to do was chase them off the land.
Seeing that they aren't going to stop, I move quickly through the trees, heading to them. I get to the first wolf and place a hard front kick to his side, knocking him off the rogue, sending him crashing into another wolf.
The rogue quickly gets up from the ground and takes off through the forest, disappearing through the thick trees.
I move quickly, knocking the other two wolves off the other rogue. "Stop!" I flash teeth at them, feeling that sudden rush as my beast pushes forward.
The rogue slowly gets up and limp away a few steps, before dropping to the snowy ground, to wounded and tired to hold himself up.
The four wolves growl and snap sharp teeth at me. The first wolf attack, coming at me. A deep growl vibrates my chest as I turn my body, placing a hard roundhouse kick to the side of his large wolf head, sending him rolling through the snow, crashing into a tree.
As the other three go to attack me, I let out a loud roar, letting my power pour from me. They all stop, slowly backing away a little, still growling and snapping teeth at me.
I stay in front of the wounded rogue on the ground, glaring at the four wolves, breathing heavily as the beast rages inside of me.
I watch as one of the males shift back. "The alpha is coming to deal with you." He glares at me, before glaring over at the rogue behind me.
I flash teeth at the male, not caring that Lucious is on his way here. I'm not afraid of Lucious.
I stand here glaring at the wolves, who continues to growl at me.
Minutes pass before I finally see Lucious heading towards us through the thick trees. As he gets closer, I see the glare on his face. I glare back at him, not moving from the rogue.
"Move out the way Lisa." Lucious stop in front of me, glaring behind me at the rogue, before glaring back at me.
"No, there's no reason for this guy to be killed. I'm sure he got the message to stay off your land. They have done enough to him already, just let him go now." I frown, looking up at Lucious, trying to get him to see that it's no reason to kill this guy. I'm sure after this, he'll never be coming here again.
Lucious glare behind me at the rogue again. The glare slowly leaves his face. "Shift." He tells the rogue.
I turn around, watching the rogue shift, covered in bloody deep claws and bite marks.
"Why were you on my land?" Lucious walks over next to the rogue, looking down at him laying on the bloody snow.
"W-we were heading west and needed to pass through your land, we weren't here to cause trouble." The guy says to Lucious. They were only trying to leave.
"We?" Lucious ask.
"There were two of them, but she attacked us and let the other one get away. He's probably long gone now because of her." One of the guys tells Lucious, glaring over at me. I let out a growl, flashing teeth at him.
"Why didn't you take another way to get to where you're headed?" Lucious ask.
"W-when we came to your land we realized it was claimed territory, but we didn't want to turn back and find another route after running this far. We thought we could just quickly pass through without causing any problems" The rogue say.
"You thought wrong." With one quick swift move, Lucious lean down slicing the guy's throat with his claws.
"He said he wasn't trying to cause trouble!" I push Lucious away as I move over to the rogue. I kneel down and place my hand on top of the rogue hands around his neck, trying to stop the blood.
Lucious glare at me as I helplessly try to help the guy.
"Burn the body," Lucious says, before walking away. I glare at his back, watching as he walks away with his men. I glare over at the two males who are still standing here, waiting for the guy to die so they can burn the body.
I look back down at the guy, knowing he's going to die. He looks up at me as he chokes on his own blood. I want to tell him that everything will be okay, but they're not.
I hold my hand against his neck until his body goes still. I remove my now bloody hands from around his neck and close his lifeless eyes, before standing up, walking away.
I walk through the forest pissed at how Lucious can be so heartless. There was no reason to kill that guy. He wasn't here to cause trouble, only trying to get somewhere and now he's dead.
Leaving the forest looking for Lucious, I find him near the packhouse with a crowd of people.
"Why did you do that Lucious! That guy wasn't hurting anyone!" I walk up to him, not caring that people are here watching. Lucious didn't have to kill that guy.
"This isn't your little human world. This is how things are done here so you better get used to it. And don't ever attack one of my warriors again for doing exactly what they supposed to do." He let out a deep growl, glaring at me, only causing this rush of anger to build inside.
"I don't care about what they were supposed to be doing! Those guys weren't doing anything for them to be killed!" I growl as my body starts to heat up. That guy explained to Lucious that they were only trying to pass through, but Lucious still killed him like it was nothing.
"She has no respect." A female says and the crowd of people voices their agreement.
"Shut up and mind your business!" I glare over at the crowd, flashing elongated teeth at them all.
The female walk up to me, with a glare covering her face. "I'm apart of this pack so it is my business. It's all of our business. You attacked my mate and could've gotten him killed by one of those filthy rogues. You attacked members of the pack to protect some filthy rogues. She should be whipped for this." She looks over at Lucious, before glaring back at me.
"Try it." I glare at her as she glares back. If anyone here tries to put a whip to my back, things won't end well for them.
As she flashes teeth at me, her hand comes up, slapping me across my face, knocking my head to the side.
My jaws clench as my breathing picks up. I slowly turn my head, glaring at her. As she goes to slap me again, I catch her wrist. I reach out grabbing her by her throat, lifting her from the ground.
"I've had enough of you people!" I growl out, glaring up at her, feeling my claws slowly sinking into her neck. "Is this what you want Lucious!?! Is this what you want!?!" I glare over at him, letting my claws sink deeper into the female's neck.
Hearing a deep growl, I look over, watching as a male shift, growling and snapping teeth at me. I'm guessing he's the female's mate. I flash teeth at the wolf, throwing the female to the ground in front of Lucious.
I give in to this rush and anger that's flowing through my body, letting the shift come.
My clothes rip away as my bones snap and pop, shifting.
Standing tall on my hind legs, I growl at the wolf as he continues to snap at me.
Not waiting for him to attack, I leap forward on all fours, using the size and strength to easily take the wolf to the ground. I start to rip into the wolf with teeth and claws. He tries to fight back and get me off, but everything he tries is useless against me.
Even when he stops moving and I know he's dead, I continue to slice into him, letting out this rage, leaving the snow stain with his blood.
"Stop it! Please stop it!" I hear the female's begging cries.
Still feeling this rush, this anger, this blood lush, I turn to the female who's crying on her knees.
I growl out, slowly stalking closer to her on all fours. She doesn't move as look at her ripped up mate, letting out her pain-filled cries.
I leap on her, biting deep into her neck, letting her warmblood fill my mouth, before ripping out her throat.
I growl over at Lucious, flashing him teeth. I'll give him the killer he wants!
I turn my attention to the crowd standing there watching. Many of them have picked with me since I've been here, along with many other members of the pack who's lucky to not be standing here with this crowd right now.
I let out a deep growl, taking a step towards them, remembering the things many of them have done and said to me. Taking another step towards them, they all start to back away.
"That's enough Lisa." I hear Lucious say from behind me.
I'm giving him what he wants, but now he wants me to stop. I ignore him and take another step towards the crowd as they continue to back away.
Lucious makes his way out in front of me. "Stop." He says with a glare.
Standing nearly face to face with him on all fours, I let out a growl and go to move around him, but he steps out in front of me again, blocking my path to the crowd.
"Lisa that's enough." He says again.
I growl at him again as I raise up on my hind legs, shifting back, covered in blood. I glare over at the crowd one last time, before walking away.
Once I get back to the house, I head up to the room. I go into the bathroom and turn on the shower, stepping under the cold water. I take in deep breaths as the cold water hits my hot body, trying to calm myself. I don't feel like myself. I want to kill them all.
I don't know what, but something is wrong. I've never felt this way before. The beast within has been on edge for the past few weeks, fighting to be let out. This sudden rush that I get that causes my body to heat up isn't normal.
After cleaning off the blood, I leave the bathroom and get dressed. I walk over and grab my phone to call father to see if something is wrong with me. If anyone knows it's him.
Looking at my phone, I see that I have miss calls from them all. I frown, knowing I haven't checked my phone often.
I return BJ call first, wondering why everyone has been calling me.
BJ phone rings once and he picks up. "Lisa, why haven't you been answering your phone?" He asks, sounding very serious, causing me to frown a little.
"I didn't know you guys called. What's wrong?" I ask.
"Father needs you back at the castle. The blood moon will be here in two days." BJ says, causing me to go silent.
Uncle Fred warned us about the blood moon a few years ago and how it would affect BJ and me, but I've forgotten all about it. Uncle Fred told us how uncle Tim lost control durn his first blood moon and killed a lot of people at the castle, so he would have to lock us away on the day of the blood moon because there's a good chance that we would lose control to the beast durn our first blood moon.
"Have you been feeling on edge BJ?" I ask, wanting to know if he has been feeling the same way I have.
"Yes, Mother too." He says giving me a sense of relief, knowing nothing is wrong with me. "Do you need for me to come and get you?" He asks.
"No, I'll be there," I tell him, not wanting him to come here with Lucious.
Once I end the call, I grab one of my bags and start to pack me some clothes for the two days I'll be gone.
I glare over at the door as Lucious walks into the room.
A look of hurt covers his face, but it's quickly replaced by a deep frown, looking at me putting my clothes and things into my bag.
"You're my mate and you're not leaving me!" He walks over, pulling my things out the bag, throwing them around the room.
I let out a growl, pushing him away to stop him from throwing my things. "I'm not leaving you!" I glare at him.
"What is this then?!" He goes for the bag again, but I push his arms away.
"The blood moon is coming, that's why I've been feeling on edge and irritated. Father needs me back at the castle. I can't be here during the blood moon." I glare at him as I start to pick up my things that he threw out my bag.
"Why do you have to leave and go there?" He's clearly not happy about me leaving to go there.
"I'll need to be locked away on the day of the blood moon." I frown as I walk over putting my things back into my bag.
"We have a prison here. If you need to be locked away, you can do it here." He glares at me.
"Those cells won't hold me if I lose control to the blood moon. I'll get out and the beast will kill. I need for you to take me to my father's castle." I zip my bag up, glaring over at him standing next to me.
He stands there for a second, frowning. "How long will you have to be there?" He asks.
"Two days. You can come back to get me the day after the blood moon." I tell him.
His jaws clench, looking at me. He looks away over at my bag on the bed and grabs it, heading towards the door.
The ride there is silent. I don't want to talk to him and I'm sure he knows that because he hasn't said anything to me. I can feel his eyes on me as I look out the window, fighting the urge to look over at him.
Once we finally get to the castle, it's pitch blackout. As Lucious drive up to the huge castle, I look at the time to see that it's 3:12 am.
Luscious stop the car and get out, getting my bag out the back. I get out and watch as he walks around to me and hands me the bag. He glares over at the castle, before getting back in the car, driving away.
I head into the castle and a big smile spread across my face when I see BJ coming down the stairs.
"I could feel you through our bond as you got close." He smirks.
I drop my bag and walk over giving him a hug. "What are you still doing up?" I let out a low chuckle, really happy to see him.
"Haven't been getting much sleep since the blood moon arrival started to affect me." He wraps his arms around me, hugging me back. "I've missed you." He says.
"I've missed you too. I've missed you all." I pull away smiling, happy to be back here.
"Well, I'm going to head back up to the room, before Alia wakes up and come looking for me. I'll see you in the morning." He gives me another hug, before heading back up the stairs.
I smile as I walk around. I grab my bag, heading up the stairs.
