                                Lisa

Winter has forced fall out, showing her cold face. I stand here looking out the living room window, watching the flakes of snowfall gently to the ground. Where I use to once live, we never really got snow.

The days started to blend together as days turn into weeks and weeks into months here. I've grown a bit used to the way things are here, but not much has changed. Everyone here still hates me, but that's something I never really cared too much about.

I may not care about how the others here feel about me, but it would be nice to have friends here to talk to and hang out with sometimes.

Lucious, Maggie, and the occasional conversations I have with Maggie mate Jax are the only people I talk to. When I want to talk to someone other than them three, I have to call my family.

I really miss my family, it's been months since I last have seen any of them. Things here are very different, from how things were before. I wouldn't say it's different in a bad way, just really different and I'm still getting used to it.

Like when Christmas was approaching no one here seemed to even notice. I asked Lucious about it and he said that those are human things.

Growing up in the human world and having a human mother, we always celebrated Christmas, but for the first time in my life, there was no Christmas for me this year. I always looked forward to Christmas. Wanting to see all the different decorations. Wanting to feel that happiness you get durn Christmas and see all the smiling faces. But there was none of that here. Everything was the same.

Other than being here with Lucious, I feel that I have no purpose here. Sometimes I find myself wanting to leave and go back to my family, but no matter how much I may want to go back to my family, I could never leave Lucious.

I've never said this out loud, only in my thoughts, but I love Lucious. I've loved him for a while now and now I'm always wondering if he feels the same for me.

He talks to me more now, but he doesn't really show many emotions. I haven't seen him smile since that day in that prison cell. The only time I see emotions from him is when the pull of the mate bond gets the best of us and we end up having a heated make-out session, but he always pulls away before things go a step further.

I don't know why he pulls away every time. Does he not want me in that way? I want him, I want to share myself with him the way I have with no other male. While I give in to the pull of the bond, he seems to fight against it.

I can still see this anger and hatred inside of Lucious, but he hadn't done anything reckless so that's a good thing.

I've been thinking about trying to talk to him about it again, but I know it'll only turn into an argument. Maybe not bringing it up is the best thing to do. Maybe if we don't talk about it at all, it'll help with him letting it go.

I just have to be patient and let him sort things out within himself.

"Lisa," Lucious call my name, causing me to jump. I've been feeling a bit on edge for the last few weeks. The beast within seems a bit irritated and restless for some reason. Unable to sleep, I went out last night in the middle of the night, thinking that maybe I just needed to shift and let the beast out, because I haven't been shifting much. But that didn't seem to help any. I still feel on edge even after doing so.

Maybe it's the pull of the bond growing stronger, wanting us to mark each other to bond our souls.

I look back at him as he walks over, stopping next to me, looking out the window. "Do you want to go out?" He asks.

I look back out the window at the snow that's covering the ground. It started to snow here last night and haven't stopped yet.

"Yes." I smile over at him.

I get dressed and head out with Lucious.

As we walk, I hold my hand out, watching the small flakes of snowfall onto my pink gloves.

"Did you not get snow where you once lived?" Lucious looks over at me with a raised brow.

I let out a low chuckle at the way he's looking at me. "No, not really. What gave it away?" I look up smiling, letting the snow land on my face.

"The way you're looking at the snow. You haven't stopped smiling." He says causing me to laugh a little.

"Well, I guess I'll be getting used to snow now that I'm here." I look down at my boots sinking into the snow.

Following Lucious, as we walk. I start to hear the sound of laughter and screams of joy in the distance.

Getting closer to the screams and laughter, we start to approach a really tall hill where kids are sledding down the tall hill.

I smile looking up at the top of the hill, watching as some of the adults slide down the hill on sleds with pups on their laps, laughing and screaming, while some of the older juveniles come down the hill on snowboards.

I look around seeing that this place is filled with adults, young pups, and juveniles from the pack. They're all over the place, running around throwing snowballs, while some is working on building snowmen.

I've seen things like this in movies, but never in real life.

"Is it always like this here when it snows?" I look around, watching how much fun everyone seems to be having.

"Pretty much," Lucious says, standing next to me, watching everyone.

Suddenly a snowball hits me. I look over to see Nakel laughing. After meeting him in the forest that day, he has become my little buddy. He's a good kid.

I give him a playful glare as I reach down scooping up a hand full of snow. I form a ball with the snow and throw it at Nakel, but my snowball breaks into pieces mid-air, causing Nakel to laugh even more.

"Your snowballs could use a bit of work." He walks over to me laughing, pulling a sled behind him.

"Is that so?" I let out a low chuckle.

He reaches down scooping up some snow. "You have to squeeze the snow tightly together, forming a ball. Then turn the ball squeezing the ball more, making sure it nice and tight." He says, showing me how to make a proper snowball.

He tosses the snowball into the air and catches it without it breaking apart like mines. "I'll be sure to remember next time."

"I'm about to head up the hill, you should come too unless you're scared," Nakel says with a mischievous smirk.

"If you're not scared, then why would I be scared, you little wuss," I say, playfully punching him in the shoulder. I look over at the hill again, watching as they continue to laugh and scream as they come down. It looks really fun.

Nakel let out a low chuckle as he starts to lead the way, pulling the sled.

"Are you coming." I smile over at Lucious.

"I'll wait down here for you." He says.

I excitedly follow Nakel, going over to the side of the hill where steps have been dug and carved into the side of the hill. Others make there way up the steps, dragging and carrying sleds and snowboards to the top of the hill.

Once I get to the top of the hill, I look around seeing just how high up the hill really is. I slowly turn, able to see all the packhouses. I can see over the trees, seeing the miles and miles of forest that the pack is surrounded by.

I take a minute to take in it all. It's an amazing view of everything.

I look down the snowy hill, watching as the kids make their way down, with no hesitation. It's clear they've done this many times.

I look downhill at everyone running around. I spot Lucious still stand where I left him, looking up at me at the top of the hill.

"I'm ready Lisa," Nakel says getting my attention. He pushes the sled to the edge of the hill, climbing on. I get onto the sled behind him, looking around him, down the hill. It's a long way down.

"Ready?!" Nakel says, leaning forward, causing the front of the sled to tilt down the hill. I let out a scream of laughter as the sled speeds downhill.

The wind blow into my face as the sled slides downhill, I look over, seeing others coming down the hill with us. Their faces are covered with the same joy that I'm feeling on the inside right now.

Once we get to the bottom of the hill, the sled slide across the flat snowy ground until it comes to a stop.

I continue to laugh, falling over onto my back. I smile, looking up into the sky, watching the snow continue to lightly fall. I wish BJ, Freddy, Frank, and Fin were here to see this. We never got this much where we lived.

"Look like you're enjoying yourself." I look over, seeing Maggie walking over to me, pulling a sled behind her with her pup Sonny on it. Maggie stop next to me, letting out a low chuckle looking down at me laying on the snow.

"Yeah, I am." I continue to laugh, sitting up.

"We go, slide mommy," Sonny says, pointing over to the hill.

"I guess we'll see you guys once we get back down." Maggie walks away, pulling Sonny on the sled.

There's no way Mother would've let us go down the hill at Sonny age. She was very protective of us until we shifted.

"Do you want to go again?" Nakel ask.

"Yes." I smile, standing up and heading back over to the steps on the side of the hill, excited to go down again.

I once looked forward to Christmas, but there's no Christmas here. So now I guess I'll always look forward to the first snowfall of winter here. Just to feel and see the joy here at the hill.
