It’s cold, eerie, and dark when Helen’s friend, Deanne started to ransacked her room, slowly and quietly, without even making a noise. She has this confidence to help her friend to escape from that Greek mafia boss.

Deanne knows about it and she’s just waiting for a right time to rescue her friend and this is the right time.

When she was in Helen’s room, she woke her up by shaking her body.

“Helen,” she called.

Helen woke up and her reflexes triggered her but when she saw Deanne, she calmed down and put down the gun she was holding.

“How did you go here?” she asked, whispering.

Deanne just shrugged her shoulders and said, “I’m the best agent, so I infiltrate the mafia boss’s mansion.” she replied.

“Yeah, that’s right. You invaded Alexander’s secured mansion at this late hour!” sarcasm filled on Helen’s voice. “Good thing, you came. I’ve been waiting for someone to rescue me here.”

Inayos ni Helen ang kaniyang sarili. Tumingin siya sa bintana at madilim pa sa labas. Ramdam rin niya ang malamig na hangin na yumayakap sa kaniyang katawan dahil sa bukas na bintana.

“Did something happened?” Deanne asked.

She nodded her head. “Yeah, Alexander happened to impregnate me… and he even knew my identity,” she told her. “Pinarusahan niya lang ako. Ikinulong sa kwarto niya at hindi ko alam kung anong klaseng parusa ba ang ibibigay niya sa akin pero nitong mga nakaraang araw, kakaiba ang kaniyang ikinikilos.”

“What kind of movement?” usisa ni Deanne. “May ginawa ba siya sa iyo?”

Tumango lang si Helen. “Oo, mayroon. He was treating me like a queen, probably a queen since he’s calling me that kind of endearment.”

Bakas sa mukha ni Deanne ang magkahalong galak at asar pero tinawanan na lamang niya ang kaibigan.

“Damn, he’s being whipped by you!” she exclaimed, declaring. “He’s in love with you,” she added.

Nangunot ang noo ni Helen. “Tigilan mo nga ang pang-aasar. Halina at tumakas bago pa tayo abutan ng mga tauhan niya.”

“In love talaga ang isang mafia boss sa iyo,” naiiling na usal ni Deanne. “…kaya nagmamadali kang makatakas because you can’t stand him, right?”

“Tsk!” she rolled her eyes. “I can’t stand his flowery words, nakakairita!”

“Buntis ka kaya ka naiirita. Hindi na ako magtataka na siya na pala ang pinaglilihian mo,” humagalpak pa ng mahinang tawa si Deanne.

“Hindi ko siya pinaglilihian, naiinis na lang ako sa kaniya kapag nakikita ko ang pagmumukha niya!” angil niya. “Tara na nga!”

Natawa na lamang si Deanne at dahan-dahan silang lumabas sa silid nito at hindi man lang lumikha ng kaonting ingay. They were both silent until they reached the fence.

“Paano ka nakaakayat sa mataas na fence na ‘yan?” nagtatakang tanong ni Helen sa kaibigan.

“Just a ninja move,” mayabang na sagot ni Deanne.

Helen just shook her head. Kinuha niya ang rope at itinali ‘yon sa kaniyang baywang at umakyat sa pader. Maingat na sumunod si Helen para hindi masyadong maipit ang kaniyang tiyan hanggang sa makababa sa kabilang bahagi.

“What now?” Helen asked her friend.

“Let’s wait for Agent August, she’ll be here,” Deanne replied.

Tumango si Helen at humugot ng isang malalim na paghinga. “Where’s the new head quarter now?” she asked while waiting for their ride.

“Far from here,” she uttered. “But it is still part of Greece. Tagong lugar lamang ‘yon.” dugtong niya.

“Oh that’s nice then. Malayo sa bayan… at hindi kami magkita ni Alexander.” mariing saad ni Helen.

Ngumisi si Deanne. “Will you keep your child then? Don’t you want him to know about the existence of your child?”

She shook her head. “I… don’t want him to know about my child. He has nothing to do with us.” malamig na sagot niya.

“Aren’t you afraid?”

She looked at Deanne, with her serious face. “Why would I be afraid? To whom?”

“Mafia. To Alexander Adamos.” Deanne named. “What if he looks for you? Then he would claim you? What will you do?”

“He won’t look for me,” sagot niya. “It will took him years to find me and if the time comes, I won’t let him meet my child.”

Deanne chuckled. “Don’t speak without even trying, girl…” she spat. “Baka kainin mo lang rin ang mga salitang binibitiwan mo…” dagdag niya.

“I won’t please him, and I would never be pleased by a Mafia boss.” she muttered, nonchalantly.

DUMATING ang kanilang sundo. Nagulat pa si Agent August nang makita si Helen. She smiled at her.

“Oh, I thought you wouldn’t be able to escape,” August spat, chuckling.

She scoffed. “Just drive, I’m just waiting for a perfect timing of saving me.” Helen replied.

“And you’re pregnant? How bad it is…” umiiling na sambit ni August.

Kumuyom ang kamao ni Helen. Naiinis at naasar.

“Why do you care? Are you the one who get me pregnant?” she annoyingly asked. “Mind your own business, Agent August.”

Napailing si August at tinuloy na lamang ang pagda-drive. Tahimik lamang si Helen sa buong biyahe hanggang sa nakarating sila sa bagong head quarter nila. Pasado alas singko na nang madaling araw sila nakarating sa head quarters at sinalubong sila ng iilan pang naroon.

“Good to see you safe, Agent Dekemvrios,” bati ng isang kasamahan.

Tinapunan lamang niya ng tingin ang bumati sa kaniya at nagtuloy-tuloy sa paglalakad. She didn’t even give a damn about the stares that someone is giving to her.

She greeted Mr. Red politely and seated at the couch.

“I’ll quit,” Helen muttered immediately. “I want to live my life alone.”

Mr. Red was shocked. “W-What did you say?” hindi makapaniwalang tanong niya. “Can you repeat what you had said－”

“I want to quit,” putol niya. “I want to quit being an agent. I already leaked the information about Alexander Adamos. I’m done with my work but he wasn’t being chased by the authorities because he was being protected by the higher ups.” she added.

Mr. Red heaved a deep sigh. “But… I still need your service. You know that you’re the most skilled agent for me, Helen…”

Helen smirked, shook her head. “I know,” she bragged. “But I want to live a peaceful life now. I’m pregnant.”

Kumunot ang noo ni Mr. Red. Shocked with her sudden announcement. 

“P-Pregnant? H-How did you get pregnant?”

Ibinaling ni Helen ang kaniyang tingin sa ibang direksyon.

“Alexander Adamos happened,” she muttered, seriously. “He took me, I give in to him.” pag-amin niya.

Napalunok si Mr. Red. Bakas ang galit sa mukha nito at maging ang pagka-gulat.

“You… what?!” Mr. Red hysterically shouted. “You give in to him so you are quitting your job now?”

Malamig ang bawat ekspresyon ni Helen. “Don’t be exaggerated, Mr. Red. I just give in because I was being reckless that he was being seduced by me.” diretsang sagot niya.

“You didn’t do that just because of your mission right?” he asked, knitted his forehead. “You didn’t right?” pag-uulit niya.

Helen just scoffed. “I did. I did seduce him to fulfill my mission.” she admitted. “I never thought that he would claim me after that and he knows… he knows my true identity and he knew about my pregnancy that he’s claiming the child.” mahabang litanya niya.

Mr. Red gritted his teeth. “Can’t you quit being my agent?”

“If only I could do that,” she said, shook her head. “But I want to give my child a better life… not to endanger the life of my baby.” she added.

Mr. Red heaved a deep sigh. Look down his head.

“We can take care of your baby and we will raise him or her... peacefully just don’t quit your job,” Mr. Red mumbled, pleadingly.

Helen shook her head. “I won’t let my baby being exposed in my field of expertise,” she blurted. “…as a mother, I want my child to be safe and sound, and to live a life peacefully.”
