"You're really going to do this?!" Enraged yells startled the Sins who could only stare at me helplessly as Wrath glanced at each one of them in disbelief. "Why aren't you stopping her, Pride?! Gluttony?!"

I stepped forward to place a hand on his shoulder, turning him towards myself. My hollow smile wasn't doing anything to pacify him but I didn't give in.

"I'm fine, Hoseok." I took a long look at each man who couldn't hold my gaze, hanging their head low. "Thank you for everything you did for me and treating me like a sister, my brothers."

"Eunsook," Sloth whispered, clenching his eyes closed while the others glanced up at me with mournful frowns. It was amazing how we formed a special bond with each other for the last centuries, us foul creatures.

Flashing them one last wholehearted smile, I patted Wrath's back before heading to where God and Lucy were waiting for me. Each step was heavier than the previous. My knees started trembling as I neared the two and a shameful thought of running away even struck me.

I was so sure about my decision, but when I arrived face to face with eternal death...

I was scared.

Terribly.

"It seems you've made your decision."

Swallowing what weighed like a heavy lump, I slowly nodded to Lucy. "He gave me the best of life. Every moment was beautiful like it never was and that's enough. I was the happiest I'd ever been with him."

"So you're saying..."

Preparing myself, I took a deep breath. It would all end now.

"I-"

"Please don't disappear!"

God's and Lucy's eyes were as wide as saucers as they darted to someone behind me and I immediately whirled around in shock, recognizing the voice.

"Jungkook..."

He was running towards us. He wasn't supposed to be here. He wasn't supposed to be in hell.

My heart plummeted.

"How did you get in here?!"

"The Sin of Greed took me here. He told me everything, Eunsook!" His hands grabbed mine and I shuddered at the contact. My mind had already accepted that I wouldn't see him again but here he was, clasping my shaking hands. "You're going to disappear? Because of me... because you didn't take me to hell, you're disappearing forever?!"

I sucked in a breath, cursing Greed in my head. "Don't do unnecessary things, Jungkook. It's either you or me."

"You've never lived happily and I refuse to let you go like this!"

I shook my head, trying to slip my hands out of his tight grip. "Neither did you, please stop."

"But I did," he whimpered, stepping closer. "I lived happily with you by my side always bugging me and making sure I was okay... Without you in this world, I can't live if living is without you in any form."

I hated how tears welled up without my permission. I didn't want to look weak in front of him before leaving like this.

"Jungkook... I never want you to suffer..."

His forehead met mine as he closed his eyes before drawing a breath. "If you did it, I can do it, too. For you."

"Do what?" I searched his face. "W-What do you mean?"

He turned to the other two who were simply watching us in eerie silence. His words nearly stopped my heart.

"I will become a deadly sin in her place. Let her be reborn as a human and live her life as she should have."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Jungkook, what-"

"This way, you don't have to worry about me suffering so much," he said in hopes of assuring me, giving me the warmest smile that made my heart break.

"Why would you do this?! Don't ruin your whole life, please..."

"I can't let you turn to dust," he argued, his voice breaking. "Your soul will disappear without a trace!" Panting and sniveling, he tightened his hold on my hands. "I won't lose you... I can't."

"Jungkook... Don't be foolish," I wept, not accepting his actions at all.

"If you never appeared in my life, maybe I would have taken my own life and ended up here. Your existence means everything to me, Eunsook. Don't disappear."

I groaned feebly at his guileless gentle tone. "You idiot, don't say that!"

"Live. I'll watch over you, so live." His hands came up to caress my head so tenderly and I shut my eyes as tears rolled down my cheeks. "And do me a favor and grow your hair nice and long, okay? No one will touch your hair and hurt you. And if they try, they will have to go through me."

My breath got stuck in my throat when the softness of his lips enveloped me and I trembled with sobs.

"As you wish," God said behind me and I gasped, turning around to see him giving orders to an angel who appeared beside him.

Lucy walked past me after patting my shoulder and approached Jungkook with an amused twinkle in his dark eyes.

"Wait," I stammered when the angel came up to me to take me away. "This isn't- I can't-"

"An oath with keen conviction has been made and it's not dependent on you, Lust. I'm afraid you have no say in this," God explained, looking pitifully at Jungkook.

"Let's go," the angel said, grabbing my wrist.

"Jungkook!" I glanced at him desperately, meeting his tender gaze and soft smile. "You're not allowed to disappear! Please don't disappear!"

"I won't." He beamed with tears streaming down his face.

"I love you," I rasped, struggling to breathe through my tears.

"I love you, too," he chuckled, sniffling, and everything around me shifted.

"Jungkook!"
