|Chapter Four| Are you going to kill me?

One word to describe how I feel right now? Uncomfortable.

One sentence to describe how I feel ? I feel like I've been hit with a brick and now I'm sitting on it.

Want a paragraph? Sure, why not? I can't see, something is covering my eyes. Like a blindfold or something. I can't move either. Something is holding me against a pole. My hands can't help me. Nothing can right now.

I also hear some faint voices. Am I scared? Hell yeah. Will I overreact? No, I'm trying to live.

"You didn't have to hit her with a brick! She's unconscious now." A deep bellows, causing some other mumbles of fear.

"She wasn't cooperative! That was my own option. It was either that or get caught and we never get a lead on Zach Everton." So that's why I'm here. I knew people hated the Guardian Forces, but I don't think it's worth of kidnapping.

"Now she's probably dead!"

"Brother, she's breathing." I feel someone point to me. I'm trying so hard not to get caught. "I get Dennis did a dumb thing, but hey, she's alive. That's the important thing."

Why are they talking like this? Almost like they lost their manners.

"I guess you're right. Can we wake her up now? I don't like wasting my time." The figure walks towards me, kicking dust into the atmosphere.

Before I could stop myself, I let out a large sneeze, possibly catching the attention of everyone in the room. And by how many times I've heard feet scatter, there were many. The blindfold gets taken off and now I can see everything. I gasp at the man- erm werewolf that's holding my blindfold. "Who are you?"

"You don't get to ask the questions," He shushes me. Looking at him grip the blindfold and all the other werewolves looking back at me, it terrifies me. I have a million questions. Who is he? Who is everyone in the room? Where am I? Why am I here? But, apparently, I don't get to ask questions. "What is your father's plans with the werewolves?"

I sigh, "He wants nothing to do with werewolves. He's chasing the Ultima. But I honestly believe that's something my father made up to spike his motivation. He probably made that name to scare us. Keep us on our feet."

"Lies!" He yells, "Everyone believes that the Ultima exists and they won't rest until he's dead."

"Correction; They won't rest until the "Ultima" is caught and my father gets justice. Even if so called Ultima is dead, you really think my dad's sane enough to just drop that? It's either Ultima or everyone. There is no in between." This seemed to frighten the other werewolves. A few howls and shrieks and quick hushed whispers echo through the room. The male werewolf bends down to my level.

"And you don't believe in the Ultima?" His voice softens.

"It's some dumbass myth my father. Something about how the Ulitma once killed his own father. We don't even know if it was a werewolf, my father just assumes it was because doctors say that Grandpa was crazy right before he died." The werewolf looks at me like he remembers something.

"Was he raving? Insane? Acting like a werewolf himself?"

"Father only took me part of the story. Apparently, it's too painful to remember." I respond, "Now can I go? I told you everything I know about this whole Guardian Force bullshit." He looks back at a female looking back at him.

"Let me talk to someone first."

~~~
Aaron walks over to Melissa, "You get anything else out the girl?"
"She... she really doesn't believe that Ultima exist. She called it a myth her father created for people to fear us." Melissa's eyes widen.
"So you're telling me we've come across the Guardian Forces founder's daughter...and she doesn't believe in her parent's own work? You don't hear that everyday."
"She asked to leave. I'm honestly starting to consider that we just might let her go on home-"
"Are you crazy? If she leaves, she'll tell her father about where we are! And she's a human that doesn't believe that Ultima's exist? I have questions for her. Many questions."
Aaron looks back at Aphmau to see her looking out at the other werewolves, "So what are you suggesting?"
"Let's keep her here a few days. We have to make sure she doesn't go crying to Daddy. We also aren't a hundred percent she's telling us the truth. Maybe she does believe the stories, she just wants to escape. You can never trust a human."
"She looks innocent. I think she's telling the truth."
"What happened to aggressive Aaron? He'd be pissed if I suggested we let her go. You'd want more answers. You make sure she'd wound up dead the next morning."
"If we kill her, the tracks will lead back to us and Zach will have a bigger problems. And imagine the stories: "Zach Everton loses father and daughter to the dreaded Ultima werewolf. We aren't safe. All werewolves must go." I can see it now!"
"But if we don't keep her, imagine the headlines. "Zach Everton's daughter, Aphmau Everton, confirms werewolves's secret hiding place!" We'll be invaded before we have time to leave!"
"Fine. Just a few days! We gain her trust, she can leave. Okay?"
"Works for me."
~~~

The werewolf walks back over here and crotches down. Almost like he's examining me. "Are you going to kill me?"

"No." He responds. A sigh of relief rushes over my body but he wasn't done speaking, "But I can't let you go." Excuse me? Pardon? Come again?

"And why not?"

"I thought about it: If you leave, there is a possible chance of your father finding us. How do I know you aren't lying to us about your beliefs? How do I know you won't go blab to your father where we are?"

"Okay, I know you don't know me and I don't know you, but I have no reason to lie about that. The Ultima is just some silly myth and my father is wasting his time looking for something he made up in his head."

"I'm sorry, but I don't believe that yet." Who does he think he is? He's crazy if he thinks I'm staying here.

"So... you want to hold me hostage at...wherever the hell I am...until you can trust me? With the history between werewolves and humans, that could take months. Even years. So can you please trust my word on this? I don't support my father's business and I never have. How many times do I have to say that?"

"If you really believe that, you'd have no problem staying here. A few days and we'll see if we can trust you, and if we do, you'll be on your way." He wants proof? Fine, I'll show him proof.

"Fine. I can play that game too." I respond, "I want access to this place. No cells, no bars, no cages. If you do... I have Guardian Force training. I'm not afraid to kick your ass."

"Oh feisty. I like you already. Fine, you can roam the place as please. If you leave... we just might have to kill you." I start laughing,

"You aren't serious. All you'd be doing is setting back history thirty years. You don't want that for your people, don't you?" He looks frustrated at me. But he knows I'm right. "I won't leave before the days are up. You have my word."

"Thank you for cooperating." Oh, but he trusts me with that? "My sister, Melissa, will show you around." He points to the woman he was talking to earlier.
