So I have no inspiration to write something serious like the next chapter tonight, so I'm going to do a more upbeat and fun chapter instead.

   "Hey Laurance, how's Garroth?" I ask, stepping into the room.

   "I'm fine," Garroth answers for himself. "Just a little sore. I would be out guarding if you and Laurance would let me."

   "You're still hurt, and it won't do us any good if you strain yourself," Laurance replies. I nod.

   "Laurance had a point, you know."

   "I know," Garroth sighs. "I just wish I weren't trapped in this room."

   "We could always have a cat pun war," I suggest. Garroth and Laurance look at me like I've grown an extra head.

   "What is a 'cat pun war'?" Laurance asks.

   "Just make a bunch of cat puns. It's simple, really."

   "You've got to be kitten me," Garroth says.

   "That pun was purrfect," I reply, smiling.

   "It was clawsome. Wait, scratch that, it was meowvelous," Laurance says.

   "I was litter-ly about to use that," Garroth complains.

   "Ah well, mew can use it next time," I reply.

   "There's go by to be a next time? Fur real?" Laurance asks.

   "Of course. I'm pretty sure cat puns are my purrrpose in life," I reply.

   "Yeah, hopefully these puns will go down in hissstory," Laurance says.

   "Well isn't that a tail...." Garroth jumps in, trailing off. The room is silent, everyone trying to think of one final pun.

   "I don't know about you guys, but I'm meowt of puns," I finally say.

   "It was pawsatively purrfect while it lasted." Laurance remarks.

   "Purrfect had already been used, doesn't count," I say.

   "I think we knead a set of rules for next time." Garroth says.

   "Yes, we will. Oh, I have to go. See new two later," I say.

   "Bye (C/N)," Laurance says. I leave the boys groaning in the house and head back to mine, ready to meet with Aphmau.
