Your POV

Laurance and Garroth were battling, standing still and arguing. Garroth tried to strike Laurance again but Laurance blocked him, continuing to talk. Heh, good luck. He probably hates you right now. My ears twitched and I spun around, narrowly dodging a strike from a guy with no shirt. I quickly spun my scythe and readied myself in a defensive position. The guy swung again but I struck the hilt of his sword, sending it flying. The man didn't even care, instead entering a defensive position. I swung, but he dodged. I swung again, with the blunt end facing him, and he narrowly avoided it. I readied myself for a third swing, missing him, but I quickly swung upwards, hitting him in the head with the blunt end. He collapsed, and fell off the stairs next to his sword. I turned back and realized that Zane was heading to attack a shocked and helpless Aphmau. . Lillian, the illusionist who had 'helped' Garroth, was holding up Katelyn. Aphmau turned and dodged Zane's first blow, which gave Garroth just enough time to step in front of Aphmau and block Zane's sword.

"You finally came to your senses, brother. It's a pity. After all, we could have gotten along great together," Zane snarled. I ran over and pulled Aphmau away. A portal appeared, and I pushed her towards it. Emmalyn and Kenmur also ran towards it. Aphmau tried to run back to Garroth, but Laurance stopped her. The masked man without a shirt hobbled over and helped guide a screaming Aphmau towards the portal. She was frantically trying to reach him. I looked back at them, some of the most influential people of Phoenix Drop, and made my decision. I sprinted back to Garroth and Zane, and tried to strike Zane. However, he saw me and dodged. His sudden movements sent Garroth stumbling, making me realize how much effort he was putting forth. I charged Zane again, and was about to strike when I was pulled away. There was a huge tree, and I just stood there confused. I called out, and a familiar voice responded.

"(Y/N)!" Laurance yelled as he launched himself at me. He pulled me into a hug, and kissed my cheek. I blushed and hugged back.

"I'm sorry for working with Zane," I said as we finally broke apart. I looked at the ground and rubbed my toe against the ground. Laurance sighed.

"It hurt, but you were probably forced to. Knowing Zane, it was either help him or live your worst nightmare." I nodded, looking up.

   "You're not mad?"

"I'm not, but I can't speak for the others. Although I must say you caused us a lot of worry, disappearing a day after Nicole did." Laurance laughed.

"Sorry." I said again, rubbing the back of my neck. "But where are we? Is this any place you know?" I asked. Laurance shook his head.

"I've never heard of any place like this. I've never even seen a tree this big. Wait, I take that back. The tree for Levon and Malachi's treehouse is pretty big now."

"Really? It's only been about fifteen minutes."

   "....Actually it's been fifteen years."

   "WHAT?!"

"Yeah. Apparently a minute in the Irene Dimension is the equivalent to a year in the Overworld."

   "That means...."

"Everyone has grown older, and Phoenix Drop has been without a Lord for fifteen years."

"How did it even survive?" I asked. Fifteen years? Really? That can't be.... Can it?

Laurance shrugged. "I don't know. Some people had faith and stayed, so I think it's largely due to them why there even is a Phoenix Drop, even if it is small."

"Wow.... Fifteen years...." Sudden bells started ringing, and we looked around. I noticed Laurance slowly vanishing and called out. He called out as well, and we tried to reach each other. We couldn't, and he disappeared right as I reappeared back in Lady Irene's Dimension. I was still flabbergasted by what happened, so Zane quickly struck me, causing me to lose my balance. Garroth had recovered and I realized that I hadn't missed a second here while by that tree. I sprang up and helped Garroth. My sickle sliced through the air, narrowly missing Zane. I swung sideways and barely skimmed his arm, causing him to bleed just a little. His blood dripped from his arm to the floor and I realized one thing; he wasn't human anymore. His blood was pitch black and bubbled like a potion when it landed on the ground. I regained my senses and knew I would have no trouble killing this monster if it came down to that. Determination filled me, and I twirled my sickle waiting for an opening to strike.

Hooray for late chapters! Yeah! Haha jk I'm sorry this is late and I hope this doesn't happen again. You probably don't want my excuse but it's because I had no school Monday which threw my whole week off. Today actually feels like a Tuesday but I am sorry. I hope you enjoyed and have a great week!
