Your POV

Kicking at the cliff holding me hostage, I held back a scream. I had been stuck here for around an hour, and was no closer to finding a way up and saving everyone else. Thankfully, my family hadn't returned yet, but it was only a matter of time. Growling, I did one final kick and some netherrack shifted slightly. I got down on my hands and knees and tried to pry the rock loose. I broke a nail, and sat back, wrapping my now bleeding finger in a strip of cloth from my shirt. As I finished tying, I head voices from above. I frantically started pulling the rock, then pushing it as the voices grew closer and closer. The netherrack finally gave and I crawled into the little cave, replacing the rock and enclosing me in darkness. I tried to quiet my breathing as I heard a pickaxe breaking through the netherrack. I pressed my back against the cave wall and followed it into a corner, where I made myself as small as possible. Thankfully the cave was a decent size so I didn't get claustrophobic if I have claustrophobia.

"Dang it, where could she have gone?" I heard one of my siblings ask.

"I don't know. She might have had a pickaxe," someone else suggested.

"Then why is the only trail up ours?" a third voice asked.

"I don't know. But what I do know is that she wouldn't have jumped in the lava. She would rather be taken captive than die," Laurance said. I sucked in my breath. What's he doing here? Why is he with them?

"How do you know that?" the first voice asked.

"Because I used to be her friend. If her friends were in danger she would at least die trying to save them. Her greatest downfall is her compassion for others. Cliche? Very. But it's the truth, and the reason I used to love her," Laurance replied. I felt dizzy. Laurance was no longer the Laurance I knew, and he was in love with me? I slid to the ground, hitting my bag and causing my armor to hit, making a noise. Crap. I froze. The netherrack I had replaced was removed, and it was hard to see who entered in the blinding yet dim light.

"Oh, what do we have here? A lost puppy?" my sister asked. I scrambled to stand up and regain the little dignity I had left.

"Or maybe she's a wounded wolf, holding onto the little pride she had even when death stares her in the eye," Laurance said, stepping into the cave. He was followed by my older brother, and all three of them were dressed in matching blood red armor. I quickly pulled my scythe from my back and held it out, threatening the three of them.

"Oh, isn't this cute. Our little sister is trying to fight back," my sister taunted. My grip tightened slightly, and my ears went back.

"I'm not cute. If I wanted to I could kill all of you right now," I growled.

"But you wouldn't, because you consider me a friend," Laurance said. I hesitated. Laurance noticed and laughed. "I'm right, aren't I? You might be able to kill your siblings, but you can't kill me. A friend."

"You don't know that. You betrayed us, so I don't consider you a friend anymore." I snarled. Laurance stepped closer, and I jabbed my scythe in the air towards him. However, he was unfazed and walked right up to me. He ran finger down my cheek to my chin, and I flinched. He laughed, and turned back to my siblings. Taking my chance, I hit Laurance on the back of the head with the blunt end of my scythe. He stumbled forward, but didn't fall. He turned to look at me and smirked. I scowled, but internally was terrified. I couldn't even take out one person, let alone three. Wait, weren't there four voices? Terrified, I stayed in my corner and tried to fend off the taunting and occasional attacks. That was until the netherrack behind me was mined. I whirled around, and my other sister was there. She grinned evilly at me, and I backed into someone. They pulled my arms behind my back and knocked my scythe from my grip. I struggled, but it was no use. I tried to stomp on my captor's foot, but I missed. Laurance, who was my captor, laughed. As I continued to struggle, Laurance's grip tightened.
