Your POV
"I guess I can share my past," I started. "Here I go....

"I was born to a Lupine, my mother (M/N), and a human, my father (F/N). I grew up in Eclipse Valley with my three older siblings and my younger twin siblings."

"What are your siblings' names?" Aphmau asked, interrupting me.

"Connor is my older brother. My oldest sister is Valery, and my other older sister is Becca. The twins are Eric and Destiny."

"Can you name your siblings in order?" Aphmau interrupted me again.

"Valery, Connor, Becca, me, Eric, and then Destiny. Anything else?"

   "Not right now."

"Okay. So I grew up in Eclipse Valley. I was always the outcast and picked on because of my ears and tail, caused by my messed up genetics." I looked at the ground, remembering the loneliness and pain. I continued. "Most Lupine, half or pure, are born with no ears or tail and a wolf, werewolf, and human form. As you can see I have a tail and ears." I flicked them as a demonstration. "I can also only turn into a wolf. No werewolf form. Because of my differences, I had very few friends. But one of them, Lillia, was like me. We were both picked on and sought each other out when we were hurt. We knew the pain the other felt." I paused, remembering Lillia with her black hair, green eyes, and wolf ears and tail. I must have been quiet for a while because Aphmau spoke.

   "(Y/N), are you okay?"

"Yeah.... Just remembering good times," I said with a weak smile.

"Oh. You don't have to continue if you don't want to," Zoey offered. I shook my head no. They deserve to know.

"Aside from Lillia, I also had two human friends. They were brother and sister, Taylor and Julianna. Taylor was my age and Julianna was two years older. She didn't wrestle with me and Taylor, just watch from the sidelines.

"One day, when I was 11 years old, I went to go play with Taylor and chat with Julianna. When I came to their village," my voice hitched. "It was destroyed. Completely, utterly destroyed. I saw someone rooting through the rubble where Taylor's house had once stood. I ran to them, howling in anger that they were there."

   "Wait, howling?" Laurance asked.

"Oh, yeah. I was a wolf."

"Just out of curiosity, what color wolf are you?" Aphmau asked.

   "(F/C)."

"That's so cool! I wish I could be a purple wolf. Then I could talk to Thorgi, Cookie, Puma, Phoenix, and Jiggy." She paused, then saw my confusion. "My dogs."

"Oh. Well the man saw me coming and when I jumped on him, he hit me. I fell, and I think I broke a bone, because it hurt like the Nether."

*•*•*Flashback*•*•*
I ran towards the man, leaping in the air and landing squarely on his armored back. He grabbed me by the neck and tossed me down, into the rubble. I felt pain in my head and in my leg, but I was too enraged at the thought of this stranger looking through my friends' stuff. I got back up and jumped toward them again, only to be met by the flat end of their now drawn sword. I fell again, but managed to stand before they hit me with the hilt of their red sword. I blacked out.
*•*•*Flashback Over*•*•*

"(Y/N)? Are you still here?" Aphmau asked.

   "Yeah. Sorry."

"Are you still sure you want to sha-"

   "Yes. You deserve to know.

"I was knocked out by the man and woke up in a red room."

"The Nether," Laurance murmured under his breath.

"Yes, it was the Nether. How did you know?"

   "I'll tell you later."

"Oh." I shrugged it off. He probably went to the Nether on guard business or something. "I was all dressed up and taken to a large room with a pedestal in the middle. I was told to lay down on the pedestal, so I did. People in red armor surrounded me....."

*•*•*Flashback*•*•*
I woke up in a red room. I looked around, wondering how I got here. I got up and winced as weight was placed on my leg. It was broken, but almost healed. I limped to the window and saw an ocean of lava and the small speck off purple light that was the portal. A knock at the door cause me to jump, and I turned around as a girl came in with a dress.

"Ahh. Good to see your awake. Put this on, and quickly." She shut the door after handing me the long red dress. I put it on, not knowing what else to do. She came back in and sat me down on a stool in front of a mirror. The girl put my hair in a fancy looking hair style. She led me to a big black door and gestured that I should enter. I did, and a cavernous room met me. The obsidian pedestal was shining in the din glow. Three Shadow Knights helped me onto the pedestal and laid me down. I didn't move because I was so terrified. They looked so scary and so much like the man who was at Taylor's house. They started chanting nonsense. I whimpered as pain flooded my body. I was screeching like a banshee as unconsciousness finally claimed me.
*•*•*Flashback Over*•*•*

"They were probably Shadow Knights," Laurance gently said.

"Yes.... I was instructed to lay in the platform and blacked out. I woke up in the original room. I went to the mirror and didn't see any difference, but I felt different. Like I had lost a bit of my sanity."

"How old were you? And wait, are you a Shadow Knight?" Aphmau questioned.

   "I was 11-"

"YOU BECAME A SHADOW KNIGHT AT 11?!?!" Aphmau screamed.

"What? No, I'm not a Shadow Knight. But I had to act like one to survive. When they showed me around the place and gave me armor, I had to wear it. They weren't entirely convinced I was like them, but I had to act like them to survive. Whenever I messed up, I had to hide the bruises and cuts so they would think I healed abnormally fast like real Shadow Knights." I shivered as I remembered one time Sasha almost caught me with my injuries. "A few months after I became a quote unquote Shadow Knight my siblings came. I saw them fight the Shadow Knights, only to be overpowered."

"Did your younger siblings go to the Nether? And do you know why you couldn't become a Shadow Knight?" Aphmau asked, concern coloring her voice.

"No, only the older ones did. But a few months later...."

"Oh no...." Zoey breathed as she realized what had happened.

   "What?" Aphmau asked.

"...A few months later, Eric and Destiny came. They were taken captive too."

"That's horrible!" Aphmau exclaimed. I nodded in agreement.

"They went through the ritual, because the next time I saw any of them I was forced into a room as punishment. They said it was a special treat. Valery, Connor, Becca, and Eric entered, holding weapons. They cornered me and started hurting me. They said that Destiny wanted to see me, that she had something to say. Destiny came up to me holding a knife, but her hand was shaking wildly. She was like me," I said softly, looking down. "Pretending to survive. Hiding the truth. She came up to me and hugged me, saying she loved me and was sorry. That enraged the others, and they started hurting her. I tried to help her, but I was too weak."

*•*•*Flashback*•*•*
"We're disappointed in you, (Y/N). You should have done what was asked. Now this time will be.... Quite special if I must say," Sasha cackled. I whimpered. She shoved me into a room and locked he door. I huddled in the middle, waiting for something, anything, because the worst kind of torture is suspense. The door creaked open and I looked up to see Valery, Connor, Becca, Eric, and Destiny. I smiled and went to hug them, but was met with a kick to the stomach and the words we never loved you. They started punishing me, all but Destiny, and I was crying out. Destiny finally came over after an especially painful kick and defended me. This only seemed to make the others pleased.

"So the little one finally starts to act like a hero. That may sound nice, but in reality the heroes always die. At least you can know you died trying to save your failure of a sister," Valery snarled, then laughed as Destiny narrowly missed Eric's lunge.

"Oh, so it seems Destiny isn't the only one who isn't a Shadow Knight," Becca said as I tried to fight. She jabbed at me and I growled. Why wasn't I like them? Why am I not a Shadow Knight? It then hit me. My genetics. They don't support the Shadow Knight abilities. I can't be a Shadow Knight. Who else knows this? I bet Destiny did, which is why she defended me.

The door opened again and the fight ended, snapping me out of my thoughts. Everyone was ushered into their room, leaving me to nurse my wounds. I felt tears flow down my face, and didn't even try to stop them. My little sister would have died for me. And now she could be punished and killed. And it's all my fault. If she isn't dead, I will find a way for both of us to escape. Together. I won't let anything hurt her. I will protect her.
*•*•*Flashback Over*•*•*

"I..... I left her..... I repaid her kindness by abandoning her...." I sobbed. But you didn't. Because- NO! No. Don't think. I was still crying but I couldn't care. All I could care about was how I had failed. I couldn't take it anymore, so I ran out of the cell and toward the gates. I morphed into a wolf to run faster and soon lost myself I the forest. I morphed back into a human and climbed a tree, settling down on one of the branches. I huddled there, trying to calm down. You know (Y/N), you can't run from your problems....I know that, but it doesn't stop me from trying..... I stared at the calm forest around me and wondered how something so beautiful could be home to so much evil.

And I'm finally done. *Looks back over what I wrote.* This is why I don't write stories. *Revises it to make it less dark* Better, but still. Right now the only reason I write is to change what I have done. I can change this. I can change this. I'm going to go sit in a corner and write not so dark things now.
